Story
Introducing Alexander, a gentle soul in need of a loving home. Alexander, along with his companion, was discovered by one of our compassionate volunteers, nestled in a parking lot looking forlorn yet composed. Their undeniable bond was evident as they refused to part ways, showcasing a heartwarming loyalty or a dire need for companionship. Despite a touch of timidity, Alexander's sweetness shines through. Upon offering them water, they eagerly drank, indicating their thirst and the immediate care they required. The sight of them cuddled up together in the car after rescue speaks volumes about their inseparable connection. Alexander, with his striking light tan fur and a velvety coat, appears to have been cared for in the past. At just 2 years old, he embodies youth and potential for a beautiful future. While he may be a bit apprehensive now, it's certain that with love and attention, he will swiftly overcome his fears and blossom into a confident and affectionate companion. Would you open your heart and home to foster Alexander? Your kindness and care will be the catalyst for transforming his world. Scout's Honor Rescue covers all fostering expenses, ensuring that fostering him is as worry-free as possible. Can you open your heart and home to Alexander? Your love and care will be the catalyst for his transformation from a timid soul to a confident and cherished family member. November 5, 2024, 1:18 am

Story
If you would like more information about Shooby or are interested in adopting him, please send an email to butlerstar34@gmail.com The only thing wrong with Shooby… is that he Shood-Be yours! Shooby is extremely well-mannered and gentle. He loves getting forehead rubs, playing fetch, and sitting in laps. He waits patiently for food, says please and thank you with his grateful eyes, is very selective about his potty spots (outdoors only!!), and even sits like a gent during baths! We took him to the vet to get him vaccinated, and they confirmed that he is healthy. He has charmed everyone he has met (including the vet) and deserves someone who will be enamored by him for the rest of his life. Shooby was found in a neighborhood where it is very uncommon to see strays. He is so loving and trusting that we believe he had a previous owner who brought him here so that he could find a new family. He walked up to us with big pleading eyes, all wags and licks from the moment we met! Despite his heartbreak, Shooby remains so open to love and we know he will love his forever pawrent with his entire heart If you are looking for a dense snuggly guy who will LOVE you with everything they’ve got, Shoobs would love to meet you! Story
If you would like more information about name or are interested in adopting her, please contact this phone number, (713) 501-3202 Max is a sweet and playful male pit mix pup. He loves to play with humans and dogs; and loves squeaky toys and attention (cuddler). Max was abandoned on a street near the highway with his collar and leash still on. My neighbor said that he had been roaming around all afternoon. When I took him to vet, there was no microchip found and he was heartworm free. Currently we are working on house and crate training. He does bark when he is left alone but will eventually settle down. He just needs a home where someone can work with him on house training but otherwise, he is a sweetheart who loves to play. I already have two large dogs and can’t take in another, so I am looking for Max’s new furever home. Story
If you would like more information about Jun or are interested in adopting her, please send an email to larenguevara@gmail.com or contact this number, 832-417-6808 Jún was found abandoned at a truck stop off I-35 near a busy intersection and full of construction. My daughter couldn't just leave her, so she brought her home and called her mom, that’s me, like I need more to do. She's a full-time student with a full-time job, plus her apartment is prejudiced against Bullys. Jún is a sweet girl. She gets along with dogs of her choice. ignores cats (at least my cats), is house broken and crate trained. She needs help learning to walk on a leash better. She loves rope bones, her brightly colored Seahorse and her blankie. She gives a warning growl when eating if there’s a dog too close. I feed her in the crate. She doesn't like to share her Seahorse. She is good around kids but can be rough with little ones. She does that bully charge like she's aggressive, but she just wants to play. She sounds mean when she plays but hasn't shown any threats. I suggest her being an only dog or with someone who understands how to handle her breed. I am a disabled veteran, so she is a lot for me to handle. I have my daughters dogs and my service dog, who does not like Jún. So I have to rotate them from the crate, which I’m not supposed to with my service dog. But Jún needs to run and play and be loved too. If you're interested, please call, text or email me. If I don't respond right away, please be patient. I do work for a living and I'm on mandatory overtime through January, but I will respond on breaks and lunch and when I can sneak away. Jun is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped; and I’ll send vet papers with her. If you just want to give her a weekend or overnight trial, great! If you adopt her and need to return her later whether it's a few months or 10 years, great. No judgment. No question, because sometimes life sucks like that. We just need her to have a good, loving home and NOT in a kill shelter or be a bait or fighting dog. She's too loving for such an awful life. It's sad enough that someone dumped her along a busy freeway This animal posted is not under the care, custody, or control of Friends For Life and shall at no time be considered the property of Friends For Life. Story
Meet Badger! This sweet-faced little guy is ready to steal your heart! He was found as a stray with an injured hip, stumbling and confused. After several specialists evaluated him, it was determined that he is in very good health, and is possibly a distemper survivor. Badger is now ready to live his best life!! Badger has a sweet personality. He has foster siblings both big and small and he LOVES to play with them. He would greatly benefit from having another dog in the home who could continue to support him- he really needs a buddy. When he’s tired, he is content to settle down and sleep at your feet or in a fluffy dog bed. Badger has human siblings, ages 6-16, and he is gentle and kind with all of them. He is food motivated and loves rotisserie chicken. No resource guarding has been observed, and you can remove toys or food from him with no problem. He has no problems on a leash, no aggression either, but we’re not sure about how he is with cats. Badger is excellent in a kennel. He willingly goes in his kennel throughout the day and never makes a peep. He is quiet all night long in his kennel, but he would probably also love snuggling in a bed under the covers! He is almost completely house trained, with only a rare accident, but he is eager to please and will continue to learn. Badger is continuing to learn how to trust people. It is possible that he hasn’t been treated kindly in the past. He will occasionally crouch down when approached, as if he expects something bad to happen. Kind words and gentle pets help reassure him. There is nothing not to love about Badger. He wants to live his best life, and he would bring JOY to any family. Please consider giving Badger his biggest wish- a forever family!!
