Story
One of our board members came across a plea on Facebook about a very pregnant dog at the Athens shelter, just days away from giving birth. She felt an instant connection to this sweet girl, as she reminded her so much of her own beloved dog who had passed away a couple years ago. Henrietta birthed 13 healthy puppies and was an amazing mom. Now that her puppies are weaned, she is ready to find her forever home! Henrietta is a 3 year old American Pit Bull, American Staffordshire Terrier, Australian Cattle Dog mix. She is so sweet, loves everyone she meets, and does great with other dogs with slow introductions and is unbothered by cats. Story
Jiggy's owners left her behind when they moved. Jiggy stayed loyal to her owners by staying on the property in case they came back; unfortunately she was hit by a car one day while she ventured out looking for food. Due to lack of proper care after her accident, her spine grew crooked causing her to be incontinent (meaning she doesn't have full control of her bladder or defecation). Jiggy Jill doesn't realize that she is different than any other dog. She is able to run and play. She is truly the happiest, silliest and most active pup. Jiggy gets along with other dogs, cats and loves humans. Jiggy is special needs and requires extra care. She is on a special prescription food which keeps her poops solid for easy clean up. She is also trained to wear diapers and overalls while she is indoors. Jiggy Jill might have been a throw away stray who nobody cared for but we want to give her the best quality life. She definitely deserves it. All Dallas DogRRR adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. The standard minimum donation for puppies is $325 + 8.25% tax = $351.81, for dogs over 12 months the adoption fee is $225 + 8.25% tax = $243.66 and for our senior dogs 8 years and up is $100 + 8.25% tax = $108.25; this increase includes sales tax recently required by the State of Texas to collect. Story
Stallone, a big lug with a smile that lights up a room. Another pup left to starve, abandoned on the streets in South Texas. It's a dumping ground littered with dogs that no one wants or even notices. Stallone is a sweet boy. He just loves people and other dogs so much, he cant help but be overexcited when out on walks. It can be frustrating for Stallone when he sees all these potential dog friends, but the pesky leash is preventing him from unleashing his social butterfly. We are helping Stallone to make calmer choices, and if he makes the best good choices we might actually let him say hello! He is working on his leash manners and has come along way. Stallone working on his 'adopt me' smile...it also doubles as his 'gimme all the cookies' face. We can't even train with this super smart boy without smiling along with him. He is a big ol lovebug who just wants to cuddle. His intake pictures were worse than the cold dark photo received in the dog catcher truck asking for help. He was worn and weathered, he was given a blanket while he waited for his ride to Freedom, he took it and made it a bed as if it was his first nice thing he had in a while. All shelters have a mandatory stray hold. The shelter waived that due to his medical condition. He clearly had no care at all and NO-ONE was missing him. He was just a STRAY; he belongs to no-one he just wandered the streets for survival! He had a large tumor on his testicles, his nails were long, he was bald, skinny, and had deep wounds. All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. You can complete an application or view all the adoptable pets on our website at http://dallasdog.org/adopt. Upon receiving your application please allow us 2-3 business days to review and process.

Story
Let me tell you about this beautiful dog, Whiskey Sour! She is the most loving, most cuddly dog in the world!! She is happiest snuggled up on the couch, in a soft doggie bed, or sunning herself outside. She will do a happy dance for you if you take her for a walk. But please keep it short, her little legs won't take her far! Whiskey is deaf so slow introductions to new four legged friends is recommended. This girl has been through so much, she just wants to feel safe. But once she does, get your meme machine ready! This quirky girl will keep you laughing all day long. She is house and crate trained and looking for her furever! All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. You can complete an application or view all the adoptable pets on our website at www.dallasdog.org/adopt. Upon receiving your application, please allow us 2-3 business days to review and process. Whiskey heartbreak...this poor girl has not had a good life. It is sheer heartbreak to hear her story. We only hoped we can help mend her broken heart and broken leg. No one deserves to be so mistreated; despite that she loves people and wags her little tail in excitement. This girl just captures your heart, something that just touches deep down in side when you meet her and hear her story.

Story
Meet Alina! Alina is an adorable 4-month-old puppy who is ready to find her forever home! We think she is some kind of bully mix with a ton of personality and even more energy. She's all puppy-playful, curious, and full of life. One of her favorite ways to show excitement is by doing her version of a 'tap dance' by hopping up and down on her front legs like a little kangaroo! Alina loves the company of other dogs and would thrive in a home with a playful companion. While she's still getting the hang of potty training and building her confidence around new people, her sweet and snuggly nature shines through once she feels safe. With patience and love, Alina will blossom into the most loyal and loving companion. If you're looking for a fun, energetic pup who's always up for cuddles after playtime, Alina might be your perfect match! Just months old and brought to the shelter, sick, wormy belly and skin is terrible condition. It's hard to imagine what she endured the first few weeks of her life. All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. Puppies adopted under the age of five months require a spay/neuter contract, and all dogs are required to be spayed by six months unless otherwise medically noted. Our dogs are currently on heartworm preventative. Puppies receive 3 to 4 rounds of vaccinations depending on their age, and adults receive two rounds unless they've been with us longer than a year, in which case they receive the booster update. You can complete an application or view all the adoptable pets on our website at www.dallasdog.org/adopt. Upon receiving your application, please allow us 2-3 business days to review and process.

Story
Coconut was adopted from a shelter in 2022, and she is about 4 years old! She loves all people and is very friendly with anyone she meets. She likes going on walks and loves her chew toys! She is not aggressive and never bites but has a lot of energy so she would do well in a home without small children. She gets along well with most dogs (not cats), so if there are other dogs in the house we should arrange a time for them to meet beforehand! Coconut is truly the sweetest dog, I just have a very busy schedule and am looking for someone to give her a loving home! I can provide a bed, a crate, food, bowls, and toys.

Story
Tater has been doing very well in his foster home since being returned to our care after four years. Over the past couple of weeks, we’ve gotten to know him again, and one thing is clear—he is an incredibly sweet and loving dog. Tater is well-behaved, quiet, and laid-back. He was returned because he began guarding his adopters from the other dog in the home, whom he had lived with since puppyhood. We offered to send a trainer, but after learning they had moved to Ohio, it became clear that long-distance support wouldn’t be an option. Given how long this behavior has gone unaddressed, we believe Tater would do best as an only dog. That said, Tater enjoys going on walks, does well on a leash, and is not reactive to other dogs. He loves people, including children, and is both house trained and crate trained. While he does fine in a crate, he also does well free in the home and doesn’t get into things he shouldn’t—he’s just a good boy all around. Tater is a 4 year old English Bulldog/Pit Bull mix. If you’re interested in meeting or adopting him, apply at www.rescuerowinc.org. *Please check your junk email folder if you do not receive a response from a Rescue Row member within 2-4 business days.*You must live within an hour of the DFW Metroplex because we do trial adoptions and require a homecheck*Our adoption fees are as follows (paid by cash or a check made out to Rescue Row):Dogs 12 weeks-6 months old: $300 adoption feeDogs 7 months and older: $275 adoption feeRescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex.
