Story
Angel is a sweet chonk. She loves children and thinks she is one of the cats herself. She is goofy and playful but she can also be super lazy. She loves to cuddle and be pet constantly. She is fully trained. She listens when you call her and can be walked with or without a leash. She was abandoned in our apartment complex right as the weather got cold and so we took her in so she wouldn't freeze to death and have had her since. She is deserving of a forever home that shows her love. Unfortunately, we work very long hours and are unable to give her the time and affection she needs as well as the space to run and be a dog. We are cooped up in a little apartment where she is left for hours on end.

Story
She was rescued from a construction site out in the middle of nowhere over an hour East of Austin, she was sadly most likely dumped by her previous owners. I was able to adopt her and traveled with her for a few weeks, in and out of my truck each day and returning to my hotel each night. She was well behaved and often spent hours alone in the hotel room without incident. As far as bad habits go, she has chewed on plants when she's hungry and she will bark at strangers she sees out the window. She is very protective and guarding almost to a fault. She has not chewed on any furniture, or dug in the trash, or any other typical puppy behavior. She respects open doors and doesn't try to run out, my backyard is not completely enclosed but she knows not to go any further. She will happily sit and chew on a hard bone or a rawhide substitute, but otherwise she mostly just rests. She prefers to be around people, usually just staying nearby like at your feet or on the couch next to you.

He is the best cuddler and is great with kids of all sizes from newborn to toddlers. I am in nursing school and I just don’t have the most time to love bleu like he has loved me for the last 3 year. Hi, this is Oliver. He is about 2 1/2 years old. I got him from the shelter a little over a year ago. He is very high energy, and loves to cuddle always. He is very sweet with anyone he has been around. Getting along with other animals has been very one way or another, it varies. Loves to chase toys around in the backyard. He definitely will need to have a tall fence. Absolutely loves toys.

Story
We found Wanda near our apartment about a month ago. She had no collar or microchip. We took her to the vet and they said she is about 9 months old. Unfortunately, we cannot keep her as we have already met the pet limit allowed by our apartment. She is very friendly and playful. She is just an overall very happy dog with absolutely no aggression whatsoever. She is also a quick learner. We think she would make a wonderful family dog! She does have some separation anxiety. We put her kennel in our room and she sleeps through the whole night without whining, even on the first night. We have an older black lab who she gets along very well with. We also have two cats. She does try to play with them which, the cats aren’t crazy about but, she is not aggressive with them at all. It would be best for her to be in a home with a yard. She loves to be outside and to run around. Also, she has made a lot of progress with house training but a yard would make it much easier.

Story
Kai was given to us by a friend as a puppy to be a companion for my husband while I worked from home. My husband has multiple sclerosis and a painful nerve condition that makes it hard to be a great companion for Kai as he enjoys lots and lots of attention. Recently my work schedule changed to overnights and I sleep through the day. He is a sweet, goofy boy who doesn't realize how big he is. He is two years old, born on Christmas Eve 2021. He loves people, kids and other dogs but tends to get really excited when in the presence of people, other dogs and kids. He is mostly a house dog. He likes to run around outside but prefers to be in the house. He is extremely nosy and likes to know what is going on. He is crate trained and that will be included with him. He is an only child at home with my husband and I. He can stand some training, he knows his name and the command sit. We want a good home for him and he deserves a family that can give him the attention he needs and loves.

Story
Meet Belinda!Hello! My name is Belinda, and I’m a sweet 5 year old girl ready for my forever home!I’m currently living my best life as an only dog with my foster mom in her apartment. I’ve been such a good girl and don’t bark at any noises or when in my crate. That’s right, I’m crate trained! Oh, and potty trained too! You’d really be impressed at all my house manners. I love meal time and of course the occasional treat. I’ll be so excited to greet you when you come home and eager to go outside. When I get excited, I tend to pull the leash, but overall my foster mom says I’m a good walker. I was nervous at first to go on walks away from home, but I’m becoming more confident and adventurous these days. I usually don’t mind passing my dog neighbors, but occasionally can feel overwhelmed by them. I love all human neighbors I pass though! Then when we get back inside, I’ll go straight for my toys to show them some love.Wanna know my absolute favorite thing though? YOU! I love being queen of the couch or taking a snooze, but I’m my happiest if you’re right there by my side. I’ll shower you with all of my love and even let you laugh at my nasally breathing if it means you are near.Although I’m doing great in a single household apartment, I’d be happy in a multi-person home too! I’d prefer a home with older kids and would do best with slow introductions to other dogs!If you’ll let me, I’ll show you my adorable personality and shower you with all the cuddles and affection in the world! To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt It doesn`t obligate you, but it is the first step. We don`t get to all of the inquiries but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!

Story
Meet Layla! The resilient and loving pup who has overcome a tumultuous past and is now looking for a forever home filled with love and affection. Although we don`t know the details of the struggles she faced, we do know that she deserves a lifetime of happiness and care from this point forward.Layla is a wonderful dog with a personality that is sure to warm your heart. She is quite independent and has mastered the art of using the doggie door, but she also loves to snuggle with her people. She is fantastic with other dogs and plays with them like a pro. And when she wants something, like dinner, she will let you know with her signature little yodel. She has even made great strides to get along with cats!Despite the scars on her body from her past, Layla is a quiet and confident dog who loves to explore and meet new people. She is around 5 years old, house and crate trained, and has even shown her love for kids. She adores hanging out with our 5 year old and is exceptionally gentle with them. Layla has a special fondness for car rides and enjoys every moment of them. She`s diligently working on improving her leash skills and relishes going on walks, making her an ideal companion for outdoor adventures. This smart and confident dog quickly adapted to her new environment, mastering house boundaries and stairs with ease. Especially if her days will consist of lounging around and being by her peoples feet.Layla`s story is a testament to her resilience and her ability to trust and love again is truly inspiring. If you`re ready to welcome a loyal and loving pup into your home, and if you can see past her scars to appreciate the incredible dog she is, then Layla is the perfect companion for you. She promises to fill your days with unconditional love, bring joy to your life, and create lasting memories, especially if you have children or love going on adventures together. Story
Milo is a 3 year old male Bull Terrier as an owner surrender after being lost for 2 years. His reuniting with his original family and his new furry siblings did not go as the fairy tale one would expect. Milo is a sweet boy that likes to have his humans all to himself. His current foster says he is an athlete that loves human interaction and earning positive reinforcement. He is extremely food and toy motivated but can get a little obsessed with his favorite toy, a ball. If you are looking for a hiking buddy, friend to fetch in the night, or a cuddle buddy this is your guy. With that in mind, this guy in no couch potato and would thrive with a family that is ready to dedicate some time to exercise and ensure his happiness and success at his new home. He has been training daily with his foster to work through his big feelings about other dogs and his foundations for being a good friend to his humans. He knows 'sit', 'come', 'down', and how to keep his four paws on the floor when saying hi to human friends. He is working on a LAT protocol and he is doing great at not reacting from distance and on his daily walks. He is great with people of all kinds and has shown interest in cats and dogs, but isn't great at managing his feelings and behaviors with other animals so he would do best in a single pet home. He is sensitive with people and is working on patience with his boundaries, so a dog savvy home with an understanding owner would be ideal for his long term success as he continues his training journey. Milo lives and breathes fetch and is working on his drop behavior and waiting patiently for human friends to pick it up and throw it again. In his previous homes has had issues with guarding his toys; however, he has done well in his foster home and is learning to 'trade' toys which is quickly turning into a favorite game. He is fully vetted and ready to finally finish his journey home and continue to learn and grow with his people. To find out more about Milo to see if he is the right fit, fill out an application and we will follow up!
