Story
Hi! I'm Bob! I'm an approximately 11 month old, male, Pit/Chihuahua mix who weighs about 35lbs. I was found on Goliad in Rockwall on 10/15/2024 and never reclaimed. I am full of puppy love and puppy energy to match! I am looking for a family who has time to train me to be the best family pet I can be. Because of my energy, I am recommended in a home with kids 5 years old and up. I am playful and bouncy and full of love! I am crate trained and have the potential to be house trained quickly. I walk well on a leash but will need some training in minor things like not jumping. I love to play fetch! I could play fetch for HOURS if you let me. If you have another dog in the home, a meet and greet is encouraged to make sure we get along. I have been searching for my furr ever home for 146 days as of 03/10/2025 and am now considered a Diamond Dog! My adoption fee is $75. I am neutered, microchipped, current on my basic boosters and rabies vaccine and am heartworm negative! I am now accepting applications for adoption and hope to get the opportunity to meet you soon! To submit your adoption application please go to https://rockwalladoptions.com/adopt.../adoption-application/. Once approved RAC staff will reach out to schedule your meet and greet accordingly!  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Story
Hi! My name is Duchess. I am a 1 year old Pit/Lab mix female that weighs about 54 Lbs. My previous family had to travel out of the country to help with a sick family member and unfortunately, ended up having to stay a lot longer than originally planned. Sadly, they felt it best to surrender me to the shelter where I can hopefully find a new family. I am a sweet but shy girl. Especially in new situations and surroundings. Even though I am shy, if you sit with me for a bit, I do warm up quickly and I enjoy getting pets and affection. Especially belly rubs! I am not suggested with younger children as they tend to make me anxious but older kids are fine. If you have another dog in the home, I would love to meet them prior to adoption to ensure we get along. My adoption fee is $125. I am spayed, microchipped, current on my rabies vaccination, boosters to date and heartworm negative. Apply to adopt online at https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/. Story
Meet Dennis! Dennis was originally rescued from a homeless man who trying to sell him in front of a Walmart. 2 Good Samaritans stepped up to help because Dennis, only 6 weeks old at the time, was about to have a heat stroke. They were able to convince the homeless man to allow them to take him and give him the medical attention he needed. We placed Dennis into a loving home. Everything was going lovely for months....until his dad was diagnosed with cancer. Because of the amount of treatment of hospitalization that his dad would require for the next several months/up to a year….he decided to surrender Dennis back to our rescue so that we can find him an awesome, active home…which Dennis desperately needs. He is a big puppy with big puppy energy. A typical wiggly pitty. Dennis is great with dogs and cats, just needs a proper introduction. He does better with female dogs. He is a wonderful pup that had a rough start at life! If Dennis tugs at your heart strings, please fill out an adoption application so that we can schedule a call.

Story
Good old Ford! He was found on the side of the road in a rural area with his siblings. His previous family couldn't even be bothered to take them to the shelter...inside left them to fend for themselves on the side of the road. You would never know that he had a rough start to life with all of the love that he has to give. That's the wonderful thing about pups, the forgive and forget. This is the goofball of the group, but also the alpha male and protector, yet cuddle bug all rolled into one. Will be a great pal for an active outdoorsy young boy, or if someone wants a dog to just pal around on the ranch, he’s your guy. If you're interested in meeting Ford, please fill out an adoption application so that we can schedule a call/Meet and Greet!

Story
How could you not fall in love with this face? I am a playful, yet serious single girl looking for a like-minded forever family. Are you single or married? Would you be my Mom or Dad or both? Would I have human siblings or fur-siblings? I’m great with any answer to those questions! I am spayed, Heartworm negative and even microchipped. The kennel staff says I’m one of those “Velcro” dogs. I don’t know what that means. I just know I love my people and want to be with them doing everything they are doing! I also really like to play with my kennel fur mate, Gilmore! I’m what they call a pretty much perfect dog. I absolutely love chew toys and treats, but right now I am a little on the fluffy side so I’ll need you to help me with an exercise and diet program to shed a few of these darn girlie pounds. My heart is the same color as my eyes – gold! And that same heart is huge and ready for a new beginning with you. If you already have a fur kid at home, come out to let me get to know you both. I’m excited to meet everyone that might be my forever family.AdoptDontShop #TBCAnimalRescue #RescueDogsIf you would like to adopt this sweet furbaby, please complete our pre-qualification application at this link: https://bit.ly/2CCVFPV#AdoptDontShop #TBCAnimalRescue

Story
Hi! Let me introduce you to Dallas aka Good Boooooooy which is what he comes to! We found this handsome man on a Facebook post requesting an urgent need for a foster. He was abandoned living in the woods covered in ticks and scratches. He must have had a pretty rough life and has some scars to prove it. He has been in our care since July and is doing amazing! He lives with two female dogs and a 10 yr old child (dog/kiddo friendly/cats unknown). He does like to chase rabbits and squirrels and can get pretty strong on the leash when he sees them. Good boy enjoys walks, laying in the sun, taking naps on the couch and wrestling with our heeler. He also recently started obedience training! We are searching for his forever family. I think he will thrive in a home with older kids and will do well with other pets with slow introductions. This pup has shown nothing but love every person he encounters. Please consider giving Dallas his happily ever after with you!

Story
Ellie is the sweetest most fun dog you will ever come by. We have had her since she was 8 weeks old. She has the most happy and energetic heart and we absolutely hate having to find her a new forever home. However, we now have a 5 month old baby and 2 senior dogs and 2 cats. We unfortunately can’t give her the attention she needs and once had. She is wonderful with our baby, and 2 other dogs and 2 cats. I can’t say for certain how she is with other dogs as we got her through covid so she wasn’t around others very often. But she did great with my in-laws 2 dogs. Ellie does also require a daily medication that will need to be considered as well, which we are happy to discuss with you. I believe Ellie would do best as a single dog or a second dog. That way she can get the most attention that she needs and loves. She also loves being outside and sunbathing but always loves to come inside for a good nap afterwards. If you would like more info please contact me. I want the BEST for her.

Story
Hello, my name is Bertha. I am an approx. 5 year old female English Bulldog mix that weighs approx. 39 lbs. I was found off Horizon/Tubbs in Rockwall on 2/22/25 and never reclaimed. I am still getting comfortable in this new environment and would do best in with a person or family that has experience with my breed and over all needs. I have done well with staff here at RAC and will walk on a leash for short distances. A meet and greet is required if you have another dog in the home. My adoption fee is $125. I am spayed, current on my rabies, microchipped, and my basic yearly boosters are up to date. I am heartworm positive but thanks to Rockwall PAWS, I will be able to receive treatment for my heartworm disease at little to no cost to my adopters. For more information on my course of treatment or heartworm disease, please feel free to ask staff. If you are interested in making me part of your family, please submit an adoption application here: https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/. Story
This handsome hunk is Milo! Milo is a 6 1/2 yrs old Bull Terrier who weighs 35 lbs (but doesn’t look it! Low rider who looks more like 25 lbs). Happy boy! Milo loves his foster family; mom dad and kids . He also does well with the resident pups. However, we think that he would do best as the only dog/pet in his furever home (he loves getting all of the attention and is quite the spoiled Prince). Milo loves to cuddle (perfect snuggle bug while binging a good series). He also loves to give kisses. He loves to go on walks and wants to be showered with love. If you think Milo could be a good fit with your family, please submit an application! Adoption Application can be found at: https://lonestarunderdogs.com/adoption-application-1 Adoption fee of $295 includes capstar, neuter, microchip, dewormings, dhlpp shot, rabies vaccination, bordetella nose spray, first month of heartworm/flea preventative (dependent on age) and any other necessary procedures prior to adoption.
