Story
Raven is a 4-5 year old female lab/pit mix looking for a loving home. She does well with older children and loves people, but tends to pick one person in the household that she is quite protective of so she is recommended for a one person household. Raven does well on a leash and car rides. She enjoys hikes, as well as snuggles and ball toys. She does not like cats, but does well with other dogs when given the time to warm up to them. She has been potty trained, but needs frequent potty breaks to avoid accidents. She has had her shots but is not fixed.

Story
**Fenced Yard Required**Dixie Chick is an adorable and sweet girl! She likes to show off her wiggle butt when she's being silly! She's strong and active, but is also very affectionate. She has been in a foster home and they said "she will make a wonderful addition to a home with a big family, children, but no other dogs or cats. She has an extremely loving personality to everyone and really does think she is lap dog! Her favorite place to be is right beside you on the couch! She loves being around a big family so she has lots of love, play, and a stimulation to tire her out for bedtime. I have never seen a dog be so appreciative of what she has. She is the happiest dog ever and just wants a warm couch and a human to kiss!"Dixie Chick is eligible for our Senior Dog Adoption Reimbursement Program! For select senior dogs FCAR will offer a senior reimbursement program of maximum of $300 per year for the life of the animal. Qualifying purchases include only the following items: wellness exam, annual vaccinations including Bordetella, and heartworm prevention. Adopter is responsible for taking the animal to their veterinarian for all services. Once the service is received and paid for, adopters can submit copies of their receipts to fayettefcar@hotmail.com and we will send them a check, maximum reimbursement in 12 month time frame is $300.We seized Dixie Chick from her owner who violated her probation after pleading guilty to animal cruelty.Dixie Chick's date of birth is 2/1/2015 and she weighs about 50 pounds. Story
***FENCED YARD REQUIRED***Stone was found standing in the middle of a road by a kind man. He immediately contacted us because Stone had numerous scabs, open wounds, hair loss and scars all over his head, legs and body. Both of his front legs were swollen. His tail and one of his legs had been broken. He was in horrible condition! We got him to the vet as soon as possible and discovered one of his front legs was possibly fractured recently. He was also loaded with parasites. Due to the location and shape of some of his scars, our vet told us he was probably a "bait dog", meaning dog fighters used him as bait to train the fighting dogs. Despite his condition and his past, Stone is so sweet to everyone!! Our staff and volunteers have been giving him so much love and attention, and he is definitely enjoying his new life. He loves to go on walks and get out some of his energy. Stone is very dog selective, so it would be best for him to be the only dog in the home. He wants all the love for himself!!Stone's date of birth is 12/6/2017 and he weighs about 50 pounds.Stone spent some time in a foster home and his foster mom told us this about him, "Stone is so gentle and kind. He walks well on a leash, takes treats really gently, and is just a calm, quiet boy."All of our rescues are rehabilitated and once healthy are available for an adoption fee of $95 for cats and dogs. Story
Hi James! Hope you are doing well! Here is a paragraph about Belemy: Please meet sweet Belemy. This gentle girl was found at MAS after being hit by a car with a broken front and hurt back leg. Belemy was unable to move on her own and absolutely terrified. She has been with her foster for over a month now, where she had her amputation and going through recovery. Belemy is the definition of a companion dog. She wants to be with you at all times. She is also quite low energy, spending most of her days laying low. This sweet girl has been through a lot. She is terrified of the world but never stopped trusting humans, as she loves everyone so much. She has mastered her ability to walk/run and chase squirrels on her three legs. This girl is ready to bring someone so much joy. Belemy’s future family will need to be very patient and understand she is still learning the world. Walking on a leash is something new, being outside free is something she is not used to. Belemy is little be little learning that she can be free. Belemy is potty trained and would do better in a home where she would be the only pet. Please consider giving this girl a chance.
