Story
Captain here, looking for a dog to lead the way? Consider me! I am loyal, goofy, and lots of fun! I can be nervous until we know each other better, but if you lived on the cold/hot hard streets you may be a little wary with new people too. Now, my time at the rescue has really really improved my life and I am SO MUCH more social and outgoing! I am a big, beautiful reddish-tan Pittie/Labrador mix with a white racing stripe down the middle of my chest! Our small canine family came to God's Dogs Rescue in a pickle, a rag tag group of Labradors and one pregnant female! We came to this safe haven with just 3 dogs and now we're a whole lot more! But all of us are now spayed and neutered and READY for furever families who won't leave us to run the streets and starve, we actually have gotten a little chunky, lol and REALLY HAPPY!! As Captain, I'll ensure that you are properly lead and motivated to get your day to day life moving! Well, that's because I need daily walks but besides the point! Some basic information about Captain; he is male, Pitbull/Labrador Retriever mix, and is medium/large-sized boy, at about 60#. Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Story
Meet Chance, a survivor with a heart full of love. His story is sadly familiar; he was abandoned in a field to fend for himself. Thankfully, a kind-hearted lady living nearby stepped in to help. She gave Chance the chance he needed to show just how much love and devotion he had to offer. In his foster home, Chance has proved to be quite the gentleman. He's house-trained and knows how to sit on command. But most importantly, he's a playful guy who thrives in the company of people. His foster mom does say he can be a bit pesky at times, but who can resist that playful spirit? Chance has a list of favorites that will make you smile. He adores playing tug-o-war and FETCH, and he's excellent at taking treats gently. He's an active pup, so he's looking for a family that enjoys adventures and keeping active. If you're ready to open your heart and home to a dog who's been through a lot and is ready to give his all, then Chance is the one. Don't miss the opportunity to make wonderful memories with this loving and loyal companion. Fill out your application today and give Chance the second chance he deserves! Story
Hey Frens! Thanks for stopping on my profile to get to know me....bet it's my gorgeous white coat and perky ears that caught your attention...right...am I right? A little about me: My sister and I were abandoned by my first family next to a busy highway surviving the best we could. Sister Asta (also adoptable) was terribly traumatized so I cared and protected her the best I could. We are incredibly close and stick together. I love adventures and occasional scavenger hunts. So I'm hoping to find an active family to feed my athletic and energetic nature. My favorite thing is to hang out with my foster dad doing projects in the backyard. I'm really a Tomboy in dogs clothes. I like ppl but cautious when I meet them. So, proper introduction is a must. Same goes for other dogs. I'm learning boundaries so I don't overwhelm other dogs around me. Cats are a no. Quick movements and loud noises puts me into action of "what are you doing? A quiet environment and no excitable children till I learn my boundaries. I'm also crate and leash trained. Hopefully you have found me, the new love of your life!!! Apply to adopt me soon!!! Love, Kinsley! Local adoption fee together is $300 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee together is $600 (includes transport to your area and $50 temporary fuel fee will be included)

Story
Creed about three years old we got him from family friend who rescued him from a not so good situation. He is incredibly loving and adores his humans and would love to be a lap dog if he fit. He is very protective and cautious around new people but quick to warm up to people. We are hoping to find a home for Creed that is a better for fit for him than ours currently is. He has been great with our kids but with two small kids and another on the way our house is getting a little over stimulating and tensions have been high with him and our other dog. He loves to be outside and is very good at playing fetch. He is not leash trained.

Story
Allow me to introduce Daisy. She showed up at my 3rd floor apartment door on February 23rd during a rainstorm. She was cold, scared, and wet. I was able to earn her trust, get her warm and dry and finally in my home, where she immediately made herself at home on my couch. I took her around the next day to see if I could find where she belongs, posted on multiple socials and message boards, and took her get scanned for a microchip. All of that came up empty. She is now fully vaccinated and microchipped. Currently coming off of a bought of kennel cough and an absolute sweetheart. I have two cats that she keeps trying to get close enough to play with them, but they ain't having none of it. Quick Stats: - Roughly 50lbs & 1yr old - Thinks she's 15lbs and loves to cuddle - Gray with white paws and chest - Not spayed (if deal breaker, will make sure that is done before adoption) - Leash trained * - House trained * * mostly, any shortcomings here are on my, I'm not used to doggos.

Story
Hunter is a gentle 60-pound Pitbull mix with a heart of gold. This strong boy, about a year old, was found running loose on the back roads of Tennessee, but despite his tough start, he's in great shape with a silky black coat. While no one has come forward to claim him, Hunter is patiently waiting for a loving family to call his own! Hunter enjoys his daily walks and is working on not pulling on the leash. ‍&#226&#153&#130&#239&#184&#143 He’s curious, playful, and loves other dogs! He’s been sharing a pen with a Boxer, though we feed him separately to avoid any food aggression. Hunter does the cutest little dance when it’s time for his meals or walks—it’s sure to put a smile on your face! While he hasn’t been tested with cats or kids yet, Hunter did have a run-in with a neighbor’s chicken , so he might be best suited to a home without small livestock. Critter Cavalry Rescue is a Middle Tennessee-based 501(c)(3) that travels to the Northeast states weekly, helping high-risk homeless animals like Hunter find their forever homes. For more info on our mission, adoption fees, and drop-off points, visit us at CritterCavalry.com! &#226&#156&#168 Are you ready to give this playful boy a chance at a new beginning? &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 Email us at CCRTennessee@gmail.com to request an adoption application.  PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.November 3, 2024, 10:10 pm

Story
Saturn is truly the Queen of Hearts at our shelter, and we are totally devoted to her. Why we love Saturn - this quote from one of our dedicated volunteers says it best: "Saturn loves all of her friends so deeply that I feel humbled by the capacity of her heart." **We are so grateful to our friends at the Ryan Animal Rescue Foundation who are sponsoring FREE training for six weeks through GoodPup for Saturn and her new family!** Saturn is five years old and weighs 52 pounds. Her black and white coat is beautifully marked. She has a warmth and equanimity that make her a sought after companion. Saturn is an absolute joy to be around and we all savor her company. Saturn has such a zest for life! She will roll around on her back and kick up her legs, truly living in the moment with so much joy. She also loves belly rubs. Saturn trots companionably at your side on daily walks and enjoys exploring the shelter grounds. She also likes to be in the fenced yard and her favorite thing is playing fetch. She will leap high into the air to catch a toy you toss her way and is so agile, athletic and graceful! Saturn likes to go to the toy box and select the ones she wants to play with! Saturn has also enjoyed outings with some of our volunteers and is a great representative for our shelter! She has also had several sleepovers and been a cherished guest. Saturn is a bright dog who has already mastered the sit, give paw, come and stay commands, and is working on down. She has a serenity of spirit that makes her a joy to be around. Saturn is the perfect dog to be at your side during the day and curl up at your feet at night! Saturn spent some out of the shelter time in the home with one of our dedicated volunteers and here is what Betty Ann says about her: "She is a lover! Saturn is super affectionate and gives lots of hugs and kisses. She is easy on the leash and loves long walks on the trail. Balls are her favorite toy. She'll pounce on them and bring them back to you. She's not a picky eater and loves all kinds of treats - and will sit for them. Saturn is super soft and barely sheds. She thinks she's a lap dog. Saturn would benefit from a fenced in yard where she can run. Its been a pleasure to have her in our home. She has brought us so much joy! Saturn will be a loyal friend to whomever chooses her and gives her the life she deserves." Two of our devoted volunteers have frequently hosted Saturn at their house when the shelter is closed and Sara reports: "Saturn is a bouncy dog, playful and joyful and happy in your company. She also loves playing quietly at your feet enjoying her chewy toys. She is always up for a walk or playtime in the yard, but is easy and content when inside with her people. She loves people she knows and loves affection. She is eager to learn how to be a good dog and she needs some guidance with that because she has lived at Animal Control half of her young life. She wants a person who will be kind and patient but firm with her while she learns. She needs to be an only pet in the a calm house. Saturn is wonderful to have around the house. She is sweet and good natured and very good company. Saturn is loved by everyone at Animal Control and she will be the best dog ever if you put in the time and love she deserves." She may only be adopted by someone experienced with a dog who is protective of her people around strangers. She must be put in another room securely when strangers enter the house and room. And Saturn must be properly introduced or remain in another room. She needs a patient, experienced owner who can work with her, provide structure, and help her feel secure. A household without small children and lots of activity would be the best environment for Saturn. It would be helpful if someone will be home with her most of the time. E-mail ccacangels@yahoo.com for more information! Please come visit! We are open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Meet Maddie, the 4-year-old queen of chill! She’s got a sweet, playful vibe and is a pro at hanging with dogs her size—unless they get annoying, then she gracefully taps out like a true lady. Maddie’s still mastering her leash manners (hey, nobody's perfect), but with some consistency, she's making great strides! She’s the perfect fit for a moderately active home, where she can enjoy long walks, splash around in water, and show off her impressive stick-fetching skills. Gracie Belle - Yes, having two names definitely makes me extra special! And believe me, I AM special! I'm not your average pup; I'm a delightful boxer mix with ears that act like radars, always tuned in to the fun and excitement around me. I'd make the ideal companion for a family that loves to keep moving! Do you enjoy running, hiking, camping, boating, or any adventure under the sun? Well, guess what? I'm gonna make you an wo-offer you can't refuse. That's Pacino's favorite phrase. The adoption deal is simple: a roof over his head, a cold dish of water, daily meals and treats, plus an abundance of love. What? It's a good deal! Pacino, now over a year old, has become a true Dogfather. He is well-behaved, happy-go lucky, is very handsome, and has a wonderful, playful nature; he fits seamlessly into any family. His lineage boasts a long line of Dog-Father's, tough dogs out in the world whose business is their own. But, they are loyal, loving and strong characters to have around you.. He's a potty-trained and crate-trained gentleman, but he still has a penchant for chewing. He adores treats and toys, but can go through them quickly. Proper and slow introductions to other dogs are essential. Pacino would thrive best with older kids. Join the legacy and give Pacino the family he deserves. After all, a dog like him is an offer you can't refuse. Story
Hi there, I'm Precious. They say that I am called this because I am the most precious dog here at God's Dogs Rescue. I came to the rescue in October of 2022 to have a safe place for me to have and raise my puppies. All my puppies were adopted by the end of January 2023, but I am still here looking for my furever home. I am a bigger girl, but this just means there is more of me to cuddle you, because I love cuddling it's one of my top 3 favorite things. 1) Food- I love food and will do almost anything you ask if you have a treat involved. 2) Cuddles- on your lap, on the couch, in the bed wherever there is a comfy space with pillows or a human I want to be there. 3) Kisses- I have a love of giving kisses to people, especially kids. Although not everyone likes it when I try to kiss them and that makes me sad. 4) Honorable mention- I like going on walks or in the car for a ride, although I prefer just lazing around at home. My current fosters say that I am a "house hippo with springs in my feet whatever that means; I just know sometimes, when I get super happy, I feel like I could fly- or jump really high. I love their kids and am very good with them even the tiny ones. I get along with most other dogs I meet, although I have a big personality about me, because I'm a boss, so sometimes other dogs don't like that about me. I tolerate cats although if they give me too much attitude or growl at me, I can't help but to give them piece of my mind. I like most new people I meet although I had a rough start in life so sometimes, I can be a little wary with men, with time though I adjust, and we can become best friends forever. A few more little details about me: I am 3 years old I am a Boxer/Shepherd mix I am great with kids I am good with Cats and Dogs I am crate-trained I am housebroken I can be adopted in Texas or anywhere in the US too! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area, $50 temporary fuel fee will be included)
