Story
Located in Memphis, Tennessee but we do adopt out of state for the right fit. From Bonnie's foster mom: Bonnie is one of the sweetest dogs I have ever fostered. Everyone that has met her has fallen in love with her. She is a cuddle bug and a velcro dog. All she wants to do is be with her human. She enjoys dog chews, toys, and treats but her favorite thing in the world is attention from her human. She loves men, women, and kids. She is always happy, gentle, and appropriately behaved with whomever she meets. She walks well on a leash and really enjoys walking in the park. Bonnie loves car rides. She gets in the car well on her own, but is a little afraid when jumping out, probably due to her vision impairment. She is calm in the car and always falls asleep. She has done great with other dogs she has met in my home and at the shelter. However, she needs a patient dog because due to the lack of vision in her right eye, she tends to bump into other dogs when walking or playing. She seems to really enjoy following my dog around the yard and just doing whatever he is doing. Bonnie is a medium energy dog. She is very playful with other dogs and is also very vocal in her play. She doesn't always pick up on social cues from other dogs, but she does take corrections well. We would prefer for Bonnie to go to a home with another dog friendly dog. She loves the companionship and playtime with other dogs. She would not do well as an only dog. All in all, Bonnie is a wonderful, intelligent, social dog. She has so much love to give and is so deserving of a forever family that will return that love. If you can give the perfect home to Bonnie, please complete the application at the following link: https://www.battleforthebully.org/adoption

Story
Location is Tennessee Tater is a sweet, chonky, loveable 3-year-old bully mix. The Good: Tater LOVES training and taking long walks. He has a great recall and is really good at ignoring other dogs and people on walks! He is crate trained and potty trained and loves to snuggle with his people. Tater gets SOOOO excited his whole body will wiggle, and yes, it is the CUTEST! Tug is one of his favorite games, and he loves playing with Jolly Balls & in his pool in the summer. I know it sounds like Tater is PERFECTION (we think he is!) but there are some really important things to know... Tater's Situation: Tater spent the last few years of his life living in a home with two other canine siblings. When Tater had access to ample exercise and socialization with humans (Tater could go to work with his mom!), he did well with the other two dogs. Unfortunately, due to unforeseeable changes in his mom's life, Tater was no longer able to go to work, and longer work hours plus a new baby made exercising Tater & the other dogs extremely difficult. Tater and one of his siblings began to have conflicts that escalated to the point of it becoming an unsafe environment for Tater and his doggy sibling. We placed Tater in a foster to adopt home that we were hoping would be just right, but unfortunately the foster sibling in that home will not give Tater a chance, and the foster parents do not have the time to remediate this situation. For the safety of Tater and his foster sibling, it is imperative that Tater be moved as soon as possible. As a result of all the changes in his world, he has become overstimulated with lack of enrichment and exercise. Resource guarding items, whether it is toys or food is a response Tater has developed to help himself feel safe. This is not an appropriate behavior, and Tater will need to continue training with an experienced trainer that can help a potential family with getting Tater back to his confident self without fear or resource guarding. Tater's Needs: Tater is NOT for a first-time dog owner. He needs an experienced dog owner who will be completely committed to his success. Tater needs a job to do and plenty of exercise and enrichment to keep his brain engaged. We are currently hoping for a home with no other dogs, due to the failure of Tater with his foster sibling, though we could consider homes with other dogs with stable temperaments and plans to keep Tater and his siblings safe. We also do not recommend homes with young children (under the age of 13), because of Tater's history of resource guarding. Tater has had an evaluation from a trainer and a veterinarian who both believe Tater has the potential to shine in the appropriate home, but unfortunately everyone has given up on Tater thus far. If interested in Tater, please complete the following application: https://www.battleforthebully.org/adoption Please contact lovingthebullies@gmail.com with questions.

Story
Meet one of the puppies of the Bridgerton Litter! This mama and her five babies were left in a crate outside of animal control when the babies were only a few days old. Sadly, one puppy didn't make it. Animal control reached out to JoJo's and we took in mama and her four babies before the pups had their eyes open. We gave them a birth date of May 20, 2024. Their adoptions were delayed while we treated them for ringworm (which is a fungal infection, not a type of worm, that puppies with weak immune systems are most susceptible to.) They have been treated for several weeks and are all doing great now. We do not know their breed for certain, but they look pretty Pittie. Mama Violet looks like she has some hound in her, She is estimated to be 3-4 years old and weighs about 42 lbs, so we are guessing her puppies will grow up to be medium sized (50-60 lbs?) The puppies have been well-socialized since they were a few days old and are all very sweet, friendly and playful. While they may not be fully house-trained, they are accustomed to using a doggy door to go outside and do their business, so they have a very good jump start on being housetrained. They will just need to learn to tell you how to let you know when they need to go out so if you are vigilant, finalizing their training should be very fast. If you think you might want to give this sweet pup a home, please email jojosdogrescue@gmail.com and we will send you an application, or visit our website: www.jojosdoghouse.com and download one. Adoption fee is $250, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, parasite treatment, and microchip with lifetime registration. Please visit our Facebook page JoJo's DogHouse (non-profit) to learn more about us and see many of the dogs we have rescued. We hope you'll join JoJo's family of adopters!

Story
This is Alice, a 4 year old Pitbull, she's a very sweet and loving dog but she is not made for our apartment life style, she is very hyper and energetic, she requires a lot of attention and can get jealous fast, she's very sweet and listens good for the most part she will need some training on a few things, she does has accidents on the house sometimes, she needs to be kenneled when alone as that's how we trained her, she should be fine out of the cage but do it progressive, she does also have attachment issues sometimes but other than that she is a good dog but she isn't a fit for what we are looking for. She comes with all her toys, treats, food and her cage for 250

Story
Allow me to introduce Daisy. She showed up at my 3rd floor apartment door on February 23rd during a rainstorm. She was cold, scared, and wet. I was able to earn her trust, get her warm and dry and finally in my home, where she immediately made herself at home on my couch. I took her around the next day to see if I could find where she belongs, posted on multiple socials and message boards, and took her get scanned for a microchip. All of that came up empty. She is now fully vaccinated and microchipped. Currently coming off of a bought of kennel cough and an absolute sweetheart. I have two cats that she keeps trying to get close enough to play with them, but they ain't having none of it. Quick Stats: - Roughly 50lbs & 1yr old - Thinks she's 15lbs and loves to cuddle - Gray with white paws and chest - Not spayed (if deal breaker, will make sure that is done before adoption) - Leash trained * - House trained * * mostly, any shortcomings here are on my, I'm not used to doggos.

Lucky is a wonderful dog that we adopted from a local adoption center here in Nashville, and he is now about a year and a half old. We are looking for a caring home that can meet his needs and provide him with the love and attention he deserves. Lucky is a very playful and sweet dog, full of energy and affection. He thrives on companionship and would do well in an environment where he can play and be part of the family.

Story
Gus was a Father’s Day gift to my husband. My husband is no longer here and I need find Gus a loving home. He has been kept outside in a kennel and comes into our garage when weather does not permit him to be outside. We have not had issues with him using in the garage. He typically holds it until we take him out, unless my husband would take too long and he just couldn’t hold it. We love him , but I just can’t take care of him anymore. He does seem to like women better than men.

Patch was found abandoned and tied up for days with no food or water. She is about 2 y/o per Vet. She’s very sweet and loves to cuddle when she cannot be outside. Knows how to fetch a ball. House trained. Basic commands. Loves to play with other dogs. We would keep her if we didn’t already have 3 dogs (and an unfenced yard). Please don’t pass her up.
