Introducing Chloe, the spirited 7-year-old rescue terrier with a heart as big as her 70-pound frame. This lovable canine companion is a cherished member of her foster family. With a zest for life, Chloe's favorite pastime is embracing the great outdoors, where she can be found either playfully frolicking in the grass, basking in the sun, or on her favorite spot - the cozy couch. Chloe is a well-mannered, house-trained beauty, adored for her affinity for both adventure and relaxation. She's a pro at the art of lounging but equally enthusiastic about exploring new places, especially if it involves a thrilling car ride. Her kennel-trained demeanor showcases her discipline and intelligence, making her a delight to be around. One of Chloe's most endearing qualities is her love for company, especially when it comes to puppies - she joyfully engages in playtime, demonstrating her gentle nature. This sweet girl has a special fondness for other dogs, particularly those who are more submissive. A meet-and-greet with potential furry friends is recommended, as Chloe's gentle nature truly shines in the company of like-minded companions. Nothing brings out her contentment more than belly rubs and the warmth of a caring hand. Story
Meet Tyson, affectionately known as "TY TY BOOTY," a 3-year-old pit bull who is really starting to come out of his shell. Tyson has a laid-back demeanor but enjoys a playful romp with other dogs in a little pittie rumble. While he hasn't shown off any zoomies yet, his curiosity keeps him eager to explore. Tyson is incredibly food and treat-driven, quickly hopping into his crate at bedtime in anticipation of a reward. Though he doesn't like being left alone and prefers to stay close to his people, Tyson is a sweet-natured pup with a hint of puppy mischief. He has a particular fondness for oven mitts and the occasional Amazon package, but with a bone to chew on, he settles down quietly. Tyson has been an easy foster. He might be a bit anxious around small children and large crowds but is wonderfully gentle with his foster family's 13-year-old autistic son. Tyson is looking for a loving home where he can be a loyal and wonderful companion. To see more pictures and videos, copy and paste this link. Story
Ginger is a resilient and loving dog who has come a long way from her days on the streets. When first rescued, Ginger was severely malnourished, but with dedicated care and plenty of love, she blossomed into the healthy, joyful dog she is today. Despite her rough start, Ginger's spirit shines in her affectionate nature and deep bond with her favorite people. One unique aspect of Ginger's appearance is her cropped ears, cut too short by her previous owners. Her fosters like to joke that maybe they secretly wanted a cat, and Ginger, with her unique look, carries it well! She's a wonderful snuggler, always ready to curl up beside you for a nap or lean in for extra affection. When it's playtime, Ginger transforms into an eager fetch partner, and when she's not running around, she loves basking in the sun. In addition to being very friendly with kids (having been fostered with teenagers), Ginger is also housebroken, making her easy to care for at home. She's great in a crate for a couple of hours, especially if she has a chew toy or a snack-filled Kong to keep her entertained. She also loves car rides and would make a fun, loyal road trip buddy. Although Ginger enjoys human company, she prefers to be the only dog in the household, where she can soak up all the love and attention. Ginger is ready to bring warmth, loyalty, and joy to a forever home that appreciates her unique charm and affectionate personality. Ginger is being fostered in Seguin, TX. She can be adopted in other states (except NH and MA due to their quarantine laws). Her adoption fee is $250 & her transport fee is $300 if adopted out of state. To apply for Ginger, please fill out her application below: https://www.shelterluv.com/embed/animal/FODS-A-527

Story
Meet Alice! Alice is a sweet and goofy 2.5-year-old Pitbull mix who has overcome a rough past to become a loving and playful companion. Spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped, Alice is ready to find her forever family! She lives for belly rubs and will happily wiggle non-stop to get more. She’s also a toy lover who adores carrying her favorite stuffed toys everywhere she goes. Alice is 100% house-trained, never having an accident in her foster home, and enjoys sunbathing and exploring the yard during her outdoor breaks. Alice would thrive as the only dog in her home due to her heartworm treatment rest and prefers a kid-free environment where she can take her time warming up to new people. Once she’s added you to her “trusted list,” she’ll shower you with love, cuddles, and even try to be your 56-pound lap dog! She’s crate trained and does best in a heavy-duty crate, as she likes to feel secure. While her leash manners are still a work in progress, her enthusiasm for life and love is unmatched. Alice is looking for a patient and loving family who will give her the care and understanding she needs to thrive. “You can’t change a dog’s past, but you can rewrite their future.” Could Alice be part of yours? Story
Mabel is loving mixed breed dog that enjoys snuggling. She is quick to learn and follows commands well. While Mabel is good with people, she would need to be the only pet in the home. She enjoys relaxing, but would also love to join you for a hike or play in the yard. She does LOVE playing and will let you know when she wants some tug of war time. She is gentle and sweet but at the same time she can turn on the energy! Mabel does enjoy her safe space crate and is good with her bladder control so she is ok with you not being home all the time, but will love a romp in the yard when you get home.

Story
Sasha came to us during a severe cold snap last December. She was lost but she was more lost than we knew. We found the people responsible for her but they no longer wanted her. Sasha had belonged to a man she had spent her entire life with. Unfortunately he had died. She was then given to his brother and sister in law who just threw her outside into a pen. Sasha easily escaped but she was properly secured because they didn't want her to begin with. We can tell from the things Sasha likes to do that her person did everything with her. She loves to ride, share meals, sleep on the couch and just pal around with her person. Right now she is having to live in our outside kennel alone in a run. She is very unhappy but has settled into a routine. Sasha is not a fan of other dogs or cats. She got out the other day and went next door to swim in the ducks pool. She didn't bother the duck or the chickens fortunately. She would be a great companion for an over the road truck driver, single older man or couple. She loves everyone she meets and happy to go along with just about anything your doing. Sasha is being treated for heartworm disease and we hope to see her negative within the next couple of months. Her treatment has been done all ready and she would just need to continue on prevention as all dogs should.

Story
Baby, a heart-wrenching 3-year-old pit bull mix, was on the brink of losing her life when we rescued her from Lifeline Animal Shelter. With mere minutes to spare, we pulled her from the euthanasia list, saving her from an uncertain fate. When we first met Baby, she was one of the saddest dogs we had ever seen. Her eyes held a deep sorrow, a reflection of the hardships she had endured. But beneath her somber exterior, we saw a spark of hope, a longing for love and a chance at a better life. We believe that Baby deserves a loving family who will cherish her for the gentle and playful soul she truly is. She's a big girl with a heart of gold, eager to bond with her new human companions. With patience, positive reinforcement, and plenty of love, Baby can blossom into the happiest dog you've ever known. If you're looking for a loyal, loving, and playful companion, Baby is the perfect match for you. Please consider opening your heart and home to this deserving girl.

Story
We are looking to rehome our almost 8-year-old male boxer, who has been a cherished part of our family but now needs a home that can better meet his specific needs. As a puppy, he was sweet and playful, but as he matured, he began exhibiting dominant behaviors, particularly toward our other male dog. He required surgery for undescended testicles, and although this helped, some aggressive tendencies remain, especially outside the home.At home, he is affectionate, playful, and loves to cuddle. However, he has shown aggression toward other dogs and certain people. While he has never bitten anyone, he has snapped at others, including our toddler, and attacked other dogs. For these reasons, he cannot be placed in a home with children, other dogs, or xxxx@xxxx.x is very protective and struggles in public settings, particularly around unfamiliar animals and people. While we believe his behavior could improve with the right training, we are unable to provide the resources he needs.

Story
Arizona is a large chestnut brindle LOVER with extraordinary ears who is so ready to go home with the perfect family for her. Her ideal family is active, loving and experienced with high-energy dogs. Arizona loves walking, running, playing, swimming and go, go, going with her favorite humans. She thrives in a well structured environment with a solid routine. She is sweet, affectionate, a great listener and gives the best kisses. Arizona is the longest resident dog at HES, but in all of her time here she has gotten to learn so many new skills and tricks while she waits for the right family for her. She is now the most classically obedient dog around. She will gladly show off how she can sit, stay, down, heel, go to bed and shake hands. She is amazing on a leash and loves to play with discs and Jolly Balls. She is house broken, does well in a crate and enjoys car rides. She's great at learning new tricks too so we hope you are ready for some fun! This sweet baby girl needs extra training and tlc when meeting new people and controlling her reactivity. She doesn't love strangers and isn't a fan of eye contact from people she doesn't know. She can get vocal when she's scared. Arizona can do great with other dogs, as long as they are the right fit for her fun loving, outspoken, rowdy play style. No cats or children please. To make sure that Arizona's transition to her forever home is smooth sailing Dog Wizard of Chattanooga will offer free training classes for her and her forever family.

Story
Trixie is 7 years old but she has more spunk and energy than a lot of pups half her age. She is always excited about meeting people, making friends, and getting lots of love. She is a strong, energetic girl who would probably enjoy a home where she gets lots of physical and mental exercise. She is most definitely housebroken and she appreciates having a crate as her safe space when by herself. Time spent with someone is her favorite. Trixie loves playing with plush toys and interacting with her person while playing. She will sit for treats and takes them gently.
