Story
Dump was found... At a dump. He was actually IN a trash compactor. There is very little chance he got into that predicament on his own and we are so glad he was found before he was hurt. He is approximately 5-years old and came to us very fearful and distrustful of humans, but never aggressive. With the love of his foster mom, he is learning to trust. Dump loves car rides, is learning to walk on a leash, and loves treats and takes them gently. He has so much love to give to the right person. WE ONLY ADOPT LOCALLY WITHIN A 2 HOUR RADIUS OF THE TRICOUNTY AREA. ***Exceptions may be made for seniors or hard to place dogs. If the animal is under the age of 3 years old or has health issues, a vet reference is required which means you must own a pet or have owned a pet in your name. Adoption fee of $290 covers all vetting including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip heartworm test and treatment if needed and any other medical that may be required while in rescue. We only do adoptions on Saturday and not all animals are able to attend so if you would like to see a specific animal please let us know so that we can make arrangements for it to be present at the event. Event locations do vary so please check the homepage to find out where we will be this week. Please do not ask us to reduce adoption fees since all fees help us to cover medical expenses for all of our animals, some of which can be very expensive. Saving lives is not cheap so thank you for your understanding and helping us save as many as possible. Please email lowcountryanimalrescue@ymail.com for an application.

Story
Venus is a playful, loving, smart and protective Ole lady. ; ) She was born February 23, 2018 along with her 10 other siblings. I acquired Venus because I am a Stage IV Breast cancer survivor, and I needed a companion while I was going through my treatment. Venus is well tempered, she likes to go outside and smell the flowers, be on 🐾 Paw patrol and right back inside the house. With my treatment I have developed severe allergies to her hair and was advised by my physician to seek rehoming her. Venus loves children, people and all animals. She is a protector, best friend and a jewel to have in my life. We are seeking a very loving, and attentive family setting for her continued development.

Story
Simon is a sizable chap brimming with the kind of energy we all envy! His favorite pastime is chasing tennis balls and eagerly returning them for another go. His greetings are overly enthusiastic, lacking any semblance of restraint, so he`ll require guidance to manage his excitement. He`s a strikingly good-looking boy who`s yet to receive the dedication he truly deserves. If you lead an active lifestyle and possess the time and resources to invest in Simon`s training, consider applying to meet him at halliehill.com.

Story
Larry has been at the sanctuary since April of 2022. He came in with another dog who was assumed to have been Larry`s real sibling. He was a very friendly outgoing dog, very different from Larry. Larry was standoffish and would bark at you. Larry is still pretty much the same but once you know him, there`s just something about him that really grabs at your heart. To the average person, Larry can come off rather intimidating. He`s a large boy with piercing eyes (he`s stunning) but the barking keeps potential adopters at bay. We know that he`s a special boy who very much wants to bond with that one person he can call his own. Someone to spend quality time with, in a calm environment. Larry has lived with other dogs here at the sanctuary and has done fine.--

Story
Meet sweet baby, Juno.  This little girl was a stray in a neighborhood that kept her from going hungry and showed her kindness.  Then one day she was hit by a car, and was found lying at the bottom of the driveway of one of her caretakers.  The good samaritan brought her to Blue Pearl in Summerville where she was treated for many lacerations.  She just got all of her vaccines, staples removed,  and is ready to find a loving family.  Juno is a little timid, but warms up very quickly and just wants to be loved and climb in your lap.  As of February 25, 2025, we believe her to be approximately nine months old.  She seems to do well with other dogs.  If interested in fostering or adopting sweet Juno, please visit our website www.hfhelpnokillrescue.com and click on OUR DOGS to find Juno.  ##2315731##
