Story
Location: Fort Mill, SC Pet Name: Meet King Thor! 👑❤️ Age: 7 y/o Original Aquired: Charlotte HS Thor is the sweetest boy! He does jump with greetings to people, but has never bit or harmed another human. He often acts like a mediator with other dogs , or goes off in his own world, but still likes to play and engage! (I’ve taken him to dog parks and he’s been fine- he’s never been an aggressive dog. He is house broken to an extent- I do house him in a crate during the day while I work, and he does just fine (I make sure to walk him before he’s crated so he stays relaxed). Overall though, he’s playful and will relax/cuddle with you all day! He has a laziness to him, but when he’s excited he’s EXCITED! ❤️ Needs some basic training (jumps on people as a greeting, but that’s the extent ) but understands sit , lay , stay. Hoping to rehome him to a family, where he’ll get more attention than me as a single household. Somewhere with a back yard and maybe another dog even would be ideal!

Mama Lightning McQueen’s 11 pups have left the barking lot and she is now looking for her own forever family to cruise with! She is a cute 43 pounds ready to snuggle and play!   Mama MQueen is as friendly as can be. She is best friends with any human in the room, and loves all of her doggy friends (so much). She is around 2 years old, potty trained, crate trained, and has great manners! After a fun play session outside, she loves to come snuggle up with you. If you’re looking for a dog that will light up when you come home, do zoomies around your yard, and take naps on your lap while you watch Bridgerton, look no further. She is a true sweetheart of a dog that is going to make one lucky family very happy!!  ##2083418##

Story
This beautiful 4-year-old, 60-pound grey Pit Bull Terrier is all about love! Lovey is fully vaccinated, crate and house trained, and is ready to find her special family. Lovey adores her people and would make an amazing companion for anyone looking for a loyal, affectionate dog. With her loving nature, she could easily be a great running or hiking partner, as she has the energy and enthusiasm for outdoor adventures. However, Lovey has made it clear that she prefers to be the Queen of the home—she’s happy to be the only dog and doesn't mind sharing walks with other dogs, but she’d rather not have to share her space at home. Lovey is well-trained and knows commands like “sit,” “stay,” and “place.” She’s obedient, listens well, and is a joy to have around. She’s also perfectly fine being left alone while you're at work—she’ll just hang out and wait for your return, showering you with love when you get home. If you’re looking for a loving, loyal dog who would thrive as the only pet and be your best friend for hikes, runs, or lazy days at home, Lovey might be the perfect fit for you! If you are interested in adopting Lovey, please submit an inquiry directly to Greater Charlotte SPCA by visiting charlottespca.org/adopt. The adoption amount is a suggested donation of $200 to $300 dollars based on the pet's age. **Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family is responsible for coming to Charlotte to complete a meet and greet. All out of town applicants will also have to be willing to drive to Charlotte to pick up the pet as soon as they are approved to adopt. November 13, 2024, 3:09 pm

Story
Meet Diamond: The Sweet, Strong, and Devoted Mama.  Diamond is a 2-year-old mixed breed who is 100% good girl through and through. While we can’t pinpoint exactly what she’s mixed with, we’re pretty sure she’s the perfect blend of sweetness and strength. She’s also an incredibly loving mom to four adorable puppies—two boys and two girls—who are growing up fast and will be ready for their forever homes after December 19th. Diamond’s journey hasn’t been easy. After an emergency c-section to save her life and the lives of her babies, she is now spayed, fully vaccinated, and ready to begin the next chapter of her life. Despite everything she’s been through, Diamond is all about love, happiness, and enjoying every moment. Her foster family has nothing but praise for this sweet girl! From the moment her puppies were just two weeks old, Diamond was already asking to play with the resident dogs—and she has loved every minute of it. She’s a social butterfly who enjoys meeting other dogs, playing, and then returning to care for her little ones. Diamond is wonderfully gentle and nurturing with her puppies, but when it’s time to play, she’s all about having fun and soaking up affection from her humans. Diamond is great with humans and other dogs, although she has not been tested with children yet. We can’t imagine any issues, though, and think she would do well with a family who understands the gentle nature of a loving mom. As for cats, well, that’s still a mystery—but she’s certainly a dog who loves company! If you’re looking for a loving, playful, and devoted companion, Diamond just might be the perfect fit for you. She’s ready to start a new chapter in her life and would love to meet her forever family soon! If you are interested in adopting Diamond, please submit an inquiry directly to Greater Charlotte SPCA by visiting charlottespca.org/adopt. Story
My dogs name is nugget and he’s a really really really great loving dog! He is house trained, great with people and my kids. I have never walked him with a leash ever he’s knows not to go in the street, pretty much just let him do his thing we don’t have a backyard in my townhome community so we have a little area where he knows to do his thing. He does have allergies, I’ve been giving him apoquel for his allergies about one a day and it seems to do the trick. He does have some skin issues on his back from before the apoquel and we were trying to figure out how to help him but other than that he just wants to play all day. I’m starting a trucking career oct 28th and unfortunately I won’t be able to bring him with me and my wife doesn’t like dogs he was pretty much mine so gonna have to find him a new home

Story
I’m Hokey Pokey, a lovable boxer mix who is quick with a smooch and a hug for my human friends.I came to the Humane Society of York County after my family was displaced by Hurricane Helene and could no longer care for me. After some time to decompress at the rescue, I showed everyone what an affectionate boy I am, always excited to see people and get some TLC.I’m a medium size guy, around 50 pounds, and my estimated birth date is August 2022.I’m a terrific car rider and I’m a good leash walker. I love my daily walks at the rescue! I’m a playful boy with normal energy for my age. I’m attending school at Zoom Room in Fort Mill, and my new family would have a couple of free lessons to continue my training.I’m a sweet, cheerful boy who needs a loving forever family. Call HSYC and come meet me! I’ll have some hugs for you.If you wish to meet me, please call the Humane Society of York County at (803)-802-0902 to schedule an appointment. Please refer to our website for adoption requirements: https://humanesocietyofyorkcounty.org/adopt/adoption-process.htmlThank you for your support.
