Pancake came to us as a stray along with her friend Keira. Pancake is an adult pitbull mix. She has a calm and reserved disposition. She calmly checks in with the other dogs and cats as she walks past. She has let staff administer medication without any problem. She is well trained, housetrained and excellent on a leash. She is an overall good dog!

Story
Tika was surrendered from her owner and is a nice, gentle and well behaved dog who is happy be with people and loves snuggles. She is very comfortable in a home and can be left unattended out of a crate. She doesn't jump on counters or get into anything. She is house trained, well mannered and knows basic commands. She is good on a leash and enjoys going for off leash walks out of town and looking for gophers - she will definitely remind you when it's time to go for a walk. She is good with new people, cats, and other dogs. A little space introducing "alpha dogs" is required, but she plays well and enjoys meeting friends at the dog park. Tika would be fine in a home by herself or with other animal. Help this sweet girl find the home she deserves.

Story
Domino is an adorable, happy and friendly dog who has made some great friends among staff and volunteers. Domino loves humans and humans love Domino! He is so very housetrained! He is EXTREMELY enthusiastic about going for a walk, and would love some leash training as he is a strong walking buddy. If you want a dog that loves to play, he's your man! He appears good with cats. We are not as knowledgeable about how he will do with other dogs. He is resource guarding around food. Domino is a young intelligent dog and is very trainable.

Story
Meet Moose, the indomitable spirit who found his way into our hearts despite facing adversity. Appearance: Moose is a teddy bear despite his gruff appearance. Moose has unique markings and scars that tell the story of his past. Due to his journey, his right hind leg has a locomotor disability . Personality: Despite his physical challenges, Moose remains energetic and playful. He has mastered the art of tug-o-war and enjoys spirited battles with his favorite toys. He loves humans and loves to go for a walk. He is incredibly trainable and responds well to positive reinforcement. Being in an overcrowded Shelter, after an obviously difficult past, has not helped Moose - he currently suffers from cage aggression. This basically means, he will throw himself at the cage door, bark, and behave as if he is the most aggressive beast on the planet until we open the kennel door and remove the barrier. Then, he's a teddy bear! This is not helping his quest to get adopted into a forever home, and we hope you can see past it. Compatibility: Moose appears cat-friendly. Moose is choosy about his canine playmates but can be friendly with the right dogs. While Moose appears fantastic with children, we recommend that parents supervise playtime to ensure a safe and happy experience for everyone. Moose tends to be fearful of men; this may be due to the past we referenced :( Health, etc.: Moose has a few physical challenges, but they don't hinder his ability to enjoy life to the fullest. As with all our adoptable pets, Moose is vaccinated, neutered and microchipped. Other Notes: Moose's resilient nature and playful spirit make him a joy to be around. He is definitely a staff favourite. He's a young dog with lots of love and energy to share. Visit: Come meet Moose at the Battlefords Humane Society and see if he's the right fit for your home.
