Story
Meet Rhea, an adult pup with a big heart and lots of love to give. She's incredibly affectionate and loves being around people—happiest when she’s by your side, soaking up all the attention she can get!Rhea was an owner surrender due her owner's loss of housing.Rhea is very food motivated, which makes him a quick learner and a great candidate for training. She’s still working on her manners and could use a little guidance, but with her love of treats, she’ll catch on quickly with consistent training and a patient owner. She’d do best in a home where her people will have time to spend with her. Poor sweet Rhea came to us needing to have an emergency surgery to fix a prolapsed vulva. She also was suffering from a skin infection on her back which caused her to lose some of her fur. Right now Rhea is currently healing and getting better. Her fur is starting to grow back nicely, showing her beautiful brown coat. She has adorable white patches on her stomach, paws, and on the top of her nose, which bring out her precious brown eyes. Even though she is just endearing, her looks are just a bonus for her beaming personality. She does well with children, cats, and other dogs. Rhea loves to show her affection with her actions. Rhea does not do well in a crate, so we would recommend that you start with a soft dog bed. This girl is very food motivated, so you can train her easily with treats. She loves to play ball and run outside with humans, so we would love for her to have with a home with a yardRhea follows you around no matter where you are. And, as you can see/hear, she is professional snorer....LOLhttps://youtu.be/beBtZWJdKp0?si=vYPlpPHRLe5m4N15 During the autumn months she loves to play around in the leaves. She is very sweet, loves everyone she meets and her playful personality will keep you laughing and brighten your days. Even though her life is still unfolding, she may be the beauty you have been looking for. Just a loyal, loving companion who’s eager to learn and ready for a fresh start.Name: RheaBreed: Pit Bull Terrier/CrossbreedSex: FemaleAge: 4 years (estimated)Weight: 63.0Spayed/Neutered: YesVaccinations: Up to dateHeartworm: Negative on recent testingMicrochipped: YesBASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS: Good with Children: Yes! saying over 5, because she is still a bit excitable and jumpy; could topple over small toddlers.Good with Dogs: YesGood with Cats: YesAdoption Fee: $350.00Location of dog currently: Connecticut IMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue - our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south and New England.
