Miss Roxie is still looking for her forever home! Please share!! Roxie is a 1 year old Pittie & Catahoula Leopard Mix. Some of her many key features are her floppy ears, her chocolate brown eyes, & her white dipped feet. As a puppy she had a black coat but now her Catahoula colors are coming through as she gets older. An important thing to note about Roxie is that she requires some special care due to having only one kidney. With her prescription diet and a little extra bloodwork, Roxie will live a very happy life. Despite her condition, Roxie is a happy & energetic girl. Some of her favorite activities include learning new puzzle toys and games, getting the zoomies, and playing with her foster siblings. She is shy at first with new people so I believe she will do best with a home with adults and teenagers. Roxie could be happy as an only dog or she would love a big (dog) brother to romp with. A dog sibling her size (55 lbs) or larger would be the best fit. But if she’s the only dog in the home, I know she’d love soaking up the attention. Roxie has had one on one leash walk training and is very enthusiastic to learn. But I know she would thrive in a home with a yard or an active exercise partner for walks/runs. Story

Ruthie's story is very sad. Her owners (never found) tied her to a telephone pole at a gas station in the middle of the night on a cold winter's night. Two young men who pulled in to get gas early in the morning saw her and took her into their car. They then contacted us to see if we could take her in. She was so scared and freezing cold she just cowered in fear for about a week. We are convinced that she was physically abused as well. Little by little she started to come out of her shell. We left her in our nursery building for a few weeks because we thought she may be pregnant. It was obvious that she had had a litter at some point in her life. Turns out she wasn't pregnant so we put her in with the general population where she has thrived. She loves playing with the puppies, she's great with cats and wonderful with children as all Pitties are. She has been spayed, is heart worm negative, fully vaccinated, crate trained and house broken to a doggie door. She is small for a Pittie so we call her a "Pocket Pittie" Ruthie needs her forever home, could that be you? She is ready for immediate transport. Hunter is a gentle 60-pound Pitbull mix with a heart of gold. This strong boy, about a year old, was found running loose on the back roads of Tennessee, but despite his tough start, he's in great shape with a silky black coat. While no one has come forward to claim him, Hunter is patiently waiting for a loving family to call his own! He’s been sharing a pen with a Boxer, though we feed him separately to avoid any food aggression. He joined us recently from a local shelter, so not much is known about his history, but we do know the following: - good in a crate/kennel - considers any person with food to be a friend, so it is pretty easy to introduce him to new people with a couple of treats to be his next bestie - affectionate. Butternut! This adorable little 4-5 mth old squishy puppy is Butternut. Butternut is a medium sized pittie type mix. Butternut loves everyone she meets and even did well with kids at a recent event. We think she could be the missing piece for a lot of families. She is good with other dogs, however she loves to rough house and doesn't always have an off switch so would do best with a playful, tolerant dog. Cats are unknown at this time but we can cat test for an approved applicant with feline friends. Butternut is good in a crate and working on housebreaking. She is up to date on vetting, including vaccinations, spay and will be microchipped. She is also current on preventatives. Interested? Izzy is a very friendly dog, an American Pit Bull Terrier mix, around 2 years old. We received a call from the local sheriff’s dispatch seeking our assistance in rescuing an abandoned Pitbull in rural Tennessee, and that's how we found Izzy. Despite his rough past and neglect, Izzy's gentle demeanor shines through. We've taken Izzy under our wing, with plans to provide him the care he deserves. He's been neutered, vaccinated, received flea/tick prevention, and microchipped. He's good on the leash but pulls a bit, and he's a decent traveler in the car. He is crate trained. Izzy is sweet and good-natured, good with kids, dogs, and small dogs, but not at all fond of cats. He's very needy but understandable. Weighing about 45 pounds, he's a smart, independent, and gentle companion who's happiest being with you, whatever you're doing. However, Izzy is a bit of an escape artist and can tear up regular kennels. So, he'll need an indestructible crate with heavier bars. Despite his knack for getting out, Izzy will bring endless love and happiness into your life, always eager to be by your side. Please send a request for an application to fill out.
