Patty has been here for TOO LONG! Patty came to us years ago with 8 puppies and being bred for all 5 years of her life, at the time. All puppies were adopted quickly but Patty was confused why she was left behind. Due to her past, she can take some time to trust you. She is extremely food motivated and that's all she needs to like you, treats! She can use some leash training, but she is very smart, and we have not a doubt that she will kill it. Once she loves you, she loves you forever. She loves playing with sticks and tennis balls. Please give Patty a chance, she will make it worth it. Gail arrived here a year ago as a very scared stray and we just can’t believe she is still here. She has the most beautiful eyes, and you can see her desire to make you happy. It is in her soul-searching gaze as she looks at you. Once she is comfortable and knows she can trust you, she is a happy girl who brings so much to the table- all the sweetness and then some! She does very well on a leash and is a pleasure to walk. She’s got lots of energy to chase ALL the balls (her favorite thing to do)- with some even left over for zoomies! Due to her energy level we do ask that she be the only pet in the household and no small children. She is very bright and an excellent listener. Oh Onyx- how we so wish to find you a home. She was abandoned when her owners just decided they did not want to take her with them. How long she sat wondering what happened, we don’t know. She would prefer to be an only pet, but does seem to do ok with some male dogs. Although a little shy at first, Onyx will warm up if some bones are involved! We have come to find that she just adores snuggling into pillows- so we know you’ll definitely have a great cuddle buddy for those lazy days. She was previously around children and has done well. This boy here is Charlie. Charlie came into our Rescue in the very beginning of us opening. Charlie was adopted fairly quickly and has been with his family up until recently. Recently something has happened to his family and the other family members didn't want poor Charlie so they decided to take him to a shelter and surrender him. Which it states in our contract that they aren't supposed to be surrendered to a shelter and must come back to the rescue. Fast forward the shelter reached out to us last week and we are taking our boy back. He will be here within the next week. Charlie is current on his vaccines, neutered and microchipped as well. Charlie gets along very well with other dogs and he loves everyone he meets. Charlie was in foster care before he was adopted with 3 other dogs and young children. We brought Toro home when he was 8 weeks old and we have loved him for years. However, he has developed severe anxiety which has caused him to lash out at my toddler. He would need to be in a home with older children or adults only. He’s always been a single dog so not sure how he would be living with other pets. He is super chill most of the time, he loves to sleep, he doesn’t like walks too much (10 minutes is enough for him) and he is a stage 5 clinger. Before we had kids he was the best pal but our kids have made his anxiety worse and he spends more and more time in the crate which just isn’t great for his quality of life. We want someone who can love on him the way we used to before the anxiety from our kiddos took over his life.
