Story
Tia has been with us since March, and she is beyond ready to find a loving home. Tia can be a little shy at first but once she warms up to you, expect all the love she can give. She at one time didn't really understand the concept of "playing" but she is becoming more interested in her toys as of late. Tia is around 2 years old. She enjoys giving her human(s) lots of kisses, she can "shake" and "sit" for some good treats and she is very calm and gentle. She can be slightly dog-selective at times, but she does well with the dogs she gets along with here at the shelter. If you have another pup at home, it would definitely be worth the meet and greet. If you have the patience and are willing to meet with Tia, she might be the perfect girl for you!

Story
Daisy is a 3-year-old sweetheart who is full of energy. She is extremely vocal and wants to have her voice heard! She loves to play, jump and find ways to get all that energy out. She is looking for a home with lots of space so she can tire herself out! She loves her treats, and she loves her toys. She also loves attention from humans only! Daisy would not be her best self around other animals, big or small. Daisy was brought to the shelter after being found in the river in late May. The finder held onto Daisy in hopes of locating an owner and when he could no longer hold onto her, a JPD officer took her in and fostered Daisy for about a month, until HSCC had space for her. If you are interested in having Daisy as your only furry friend, apply on our website or schedule a meet and greet today with a pre-approved application!

Story
Ivy is about 5 years old and can sometimes have puppy energy. She was abandoned in early March at no fault of her own and since she came to the shelter, she loves up on everyone that allows it. She loves getting attention and giving it back. She loves giving hugs and loves them in return as well. She is a very sweet girl who can be playful but usually just likes to chill out, get belly rubs and sunbathe. Ivy loves to go for walks and walks very well on the leash. 9 times out of 10, she interacts very well with other dogs and will be cat-tested soon. She can be a little shy at first with other dogs and also small children. Ivy is more confident when the control is in her paws. If you let her approach you, in her own time, she will warm up pretty quickly. She is a very good and calm dog who is waiting for her furever home. If you're ready to give Ivy her second chance and all the attention she deserves, schedule your meet and greet today for this sweetheart with a pre-approved application!

Pterodactyl is about 3 years old and has been with us since September 2023. She underwent a femoral head ostectomy and after her spay appointment, she is now available for adoption! Her surgery did not warrant any further issues and with her surgery being a success, she is not limited in movements. Pterodactyl is a sweet girl who is looking for a loving home. With her very human-like smile and gentle eyes, Pterodactyl will have your heart melting. She can be dog-selective, but she loves people. Pterodactyl is a very loyal girl who will always be by your side!

Story
Camo is a sweet, gentle 11-year-old pitbull terrier mix who is looking for a good home to live out his retirement years. Since arriving to Four Footed Friends when his owner was no longer physically able to take care of him, Camo has been an extremely friendly and affectionate dog. He is a quiet guy who is easy to walk outside on a leash. He loves to be around people and gets really excited when new people come to meet him. Our staff and volunteers have seen him really enjoy his bath time and do really well with his nails being clipped. Camo loves to snuggle up on the couch and fits the demeanor and description of a great family dog. There are only a couple things Camo is not a huge fan of and that includes cats and some other dogs. Please consider giving this lovable old soul a comfortable home. If you think you can provide Camo with a forever home, please reach out and contact Four Footed Friends at (724) 349-1144 or fourfootedfriends82@gmail.com. You can also visit https://www.fourfootedfriends.org/ for more information on our organization and other pets we have available for adoption. As always, you are welcome to come into our shelter for a visit with any of our dogs to see if they might be the right fit! Story
Roxy is an adorable, funny, and extremely friendly 3-year-old pitt/boxer mix who is excited to meet her new human companions! This young lady has a lot of energy and always gets really excited to go outside and release some of it. On her walks, she loves to sniff around and has the tendency to make some cute and goofy noises in the process. Roxy is very compact, strong, and built, and her excitement can get the best of her on a leash making her a little challenging to walk at the moment. However, she is very smart and trainable and would benefit from specific instruction in this regard. Roxy is a people’s dog through and through. She loves to be around people, receive and share affection, and snuggle up. It is hard not to smile when she looks up at you wagging her tail. She is a lovable girl who will always be happy to see you, comfort you, and spend quality time with you, exactly what you would want in a new best friend! Roxy has also lived swimmingly with both other dogs and kids before. Do you think you can provide Roxy with a forever home? If so, please reach out and contact Four Footed Friends at (724) 349-1144 or dogmanager@fourfootedfriends.org. Story
Skippy is a friendly, handsome, young shepherd/pittbull mix that was found as a stray before arriving at Four Footed Friends. He started out a bit timid and shy once he arrived, but has warmed up since. He is very friendly and enjoys being pet and receiving human attention when presented the opportunity. Skippy also loves to play fetch outside in the yard and get some energy out. He is a strong young boy and at the moment pulls quite a bit on the leash and would definitely benefit from some leash training. Staff at Four Footed Friends believe he would be compatible with both children and/or other dogs in a home environment. Do you think you can provide Skippy with a forever home? If so, please reach out and contact Four Footed Friends at (724) 349-1144 or dogmanager@fourfootedfriends.org. Achilles is an adorable, friendly, young pitbull mix who was found as a stray dog before coming to Four Footed Friends. He is a very energetic young guy who enjoys getting outside for walks and to run around. He is very strong on a leash and would benefit from some leash training. His personality is fantastic as he loves everyone he meets and is happy to get up nice and close to you and snuggle. He craves human attention, touch, and love. Achilles puts on the appearance of a tough guy but is a big teddy bear inside. Do you think you can provide Achilles with a forever home? Story
Alpha is a young, friendly, and energetic pitbull/hound mix who first came to Four Footed Friends as a stray dog. Since then, he has been a lot of fun to engage with as we learn more about him. Alpha has relentless puppy dog energy and needs space and time to release some of his excitement every day outside. He loves being outside and going for walks, and definitely needs some leash training as he is quite strong. He is an extroverted young guy who seems to love everyone, and he would probably benefit from having a doggie friend to play with as well. He keeps a clean kennel at the animal shelter and does know a few commands at the moment. Do you think you can provide Alpha with a forever home? If so, please reach out and contact Four Footed Friends at (724) 349-1144 or dogmanager@fourfootedfriends.org. Story
Meet Jacks! Jacks was brought to ICHS as an owner surrender, no fault of his own of course. This handsome man is a very affectionate doggo. He enjoys receiving butt scratches and having all the attention on him! When he doesn't have the shelter staff obsessing over how cute he is, Jacks enjoys being outside. He says there is nothing better than feeling the cool breeze through his ears. Jacks also enjoys working on his skills and receiving all the treats...of course! He currently knows how to sit. While Jacks enjoys meeting our staff members and volunteers, he can be dog selective. Jacks does not like to be alone and does get upset when he knows he is going to be alone. He would do best with someone who has the time and space to work with him more on this issue. Jacks was one of the dogs that was at our Cause for Paws event last year and did a wonderful job with the crowd and many other dogs that attended. Jacks has the love of 100 dogs to give! So if you're looking for a sweet boy to give all your attention and love to, consider putting in an adoption application for Jacks today!Activity Level: MediumWeight: 45 lbs Primary Color: Fawn Secondary Color: White Age: 10yrs 1mths 3wks
