Story
?? IMMEDIATE FOSTER OR ADOPTER NEEDED ??Monty is 3 years old. He came to us in need of medical care for a broken leg. The broken leg cannot heal because he keeps breaking or ripping the cast off. His neuter surgery is also healing poorly because he does not want to be calm to allow himself to feel better. The shelter environment is making this a challenge. We are looking for a home without other animals. He has not been assessed but he has reacted poorly towards other dogs just walking by. He also needs to heal so he cannot be out running around. Children should be 10-12 years and older. He is human friendly but does have a tendency to mouth the leash or hands. During the brief time of him being calm, he does want attention and enjoys being loved on. If you cannot personally take him in, please SHARE. This is very important for Monty that he finds a place to land. Any inquiries can be sent to info@centralpahumane.org. Thank you!!

Story
Hermey is a 3 year old Pitbull Terrier Mix. Hermey doesn’t show well in his kennel, but once out of the kennel, he does so much better. Hermey can live with other dogs that are more submissive. He has a more dominant play style. He could be slightly annoying to dogs that aren’t at his “play” level and style. He’s intense with food, meaning he didn’t want to lift his head from the bowl. Due to this, kids should be over the age of 8. No cats for this guy. He was not a fan. PA Kennel License #1333

Story
This beautiful girl is Bear. She is a sweetheart that loves to soak up all the attention she can. She loves to be the center of attention and would love to have a new furrever family all to herself. Belly rubs and bum scratches are the way to this girl`s heart. She loves to play with squeaky toys and will sit like a lady for them along with treats. She walks rather well on the leash but will need some help getting on a potty routine. If you are interested in a new four-legged addition to you family, please feel free to apply for her at www.clearfieldcountyspca.org.

Story
If you are interested in OLIVIA or in adopting a pup in general, the first step is an adoption application. Download an adoption application here Please email the completed application to adoptionteam4.woofriver@gmail.com Please submit an application rather than an inquiry with no application attached. This adorable girl is OLIVIA! She is a sweet, sweet girl who can be a little shy when you first meet her. However watching her personality bloom as she becomes comfortable with her new surroundings is incredibly rewarding. OLIVIA is perfectly content to spend a lazy day on her dog bed watching a movie with her person, or, if you’re in the mood for some exercise, OLIVIA is there and ready. She absolutely loves going for walks and is learning how to walk well on a leash. OLIVIA is absolutely fabulous with other dogs. She is exponentially happier and more confident with canine companionship, so she is only available to forever families who have at least one other resident dog. She will fill your heart with joy and your life with happy memories for many years to come. To see even more pictures of OLIVIA, please copy and paste the following link into your browser: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fo/savlsxt5cugw64oei0m2m/AI06VHq1m1EyPbA8EPHDFXY?rlkey=cx20tof5dgmsjcfwl3ump7j98&st=ggl0akpz&dl=0 OLIVIA is spayed, microchipped and up to date on all vaccinations including 2 rounds of both the H3N2 and H3N8 canine influenza vaccinations. Her $540 adoption fee covers her interstate health certificate and the cost of transport to the New England area. For an adoption application on OLIVIA click here Please email the completed application to adoptionteam4.woofriver@gmail.com. It typically takes us around 5 BUSINESS DAYS to process an application. We will reach out to you as soon as your application is processed. Thank you in advance for your patience. All of our dogs start their journey in Memphis, Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted. Once adopted, some pups stay local in Memphis. Many others travel via one of our transport partners to their new forever homes. We use Pet Express Transport (https://petexpresstupelo.wordpress.com) for our Nashville, Knoxville and New England adoptions. For our Midwest adopters, we have our own private transport. Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well-educated decision from well qualified staff. Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you request, complete, and submit an application before asking additional questions. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, Woof River is 100% volunteer operated. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding. Please LIKE Woof River on Facebook! Thank you for choosing rescue!!

Story
🌟 Meet Minnie: The Warrior of Love! 🌟 Minnie, our resilient pitbull mix, has been waiting far too long for her forever home. After a previous adoption, she was returned due to her high drive and territorial challenges. But don’t let that intimidate you—this girl is a sweetheart at heart! ❤️🐾 Currently thriving under the care of a dedicated trainer, Minnie is learning how to coexist with other dogs and making remarkable progress. However, she needs an experienced owner ready to invest time and effort into training and socialization. We emphasize the need for strong leadership and clear boundaries in her life. Important: Minnie is currently wearing a muzzle during interactions with other dogs to ensure safety for everyone involved. She’s demonstrating exceptional decision-making skills, proving that with the right guidance, she can overcome her challenges. Minnie deserves a loving, dedicated home where she can flourish. Are YOU the one who can give this incredible girl the second chance she’s been waiting for? In return, she’ll fill your life with joy, companionship, and endless cuddle sessions! 🛋️💕 Don’t wait—let’s find Minnie her forever family! #AdoptMinnie #PittieLove #RescueDog If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at https://www.cognitoforms.com/DixieGirl1/PetAdoptionApplicationForm2 PLEASE MAKE NOTE- OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN ALABAMA (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED), OUR DOGS TRANSPORT TO THEIR NEW FAMILIES IN PENNSYLVANIA AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN ADOPTED.
