Story
Hi, everypawdy! My name is Grace. I'm a beautiful, loving soul who is looking for a family to call my own. Walks, runs, and hikes are a few of my favorite hobbies. Attention and being pet are necessities as well, of course! A good cuddle at the end of a long day will fill me with joy. My foster family says I'm smart as a whip...I already know how to sit, heel, halt, and more! A good treat and some cuddles are enough to motivate to learn like a pro. I love being near my favorite humans, and playing with my favorite toys. If you want a reason to smile every single day, then I am the pup for your family. If you are interested in adopting Grace, please fill out an adoption application at https://bfp.org/rescue/ and email us with questions: adopt@bfp.org. Location: TULSA, OK

Story
Meet Dillon. He's a sweet and energetic 3 year old pitbull mix at around 68 lbs. He absolutely loves love and is a huge cuddle bug. In the time we have had him, he has never known a stranger and wants scratches from every person he meets. He loves any chew toy he can get and will chase any ball you throw though he doesn't quite understand the concept of fetching yet. He is still working on his manners but is very quick to please. We think he would be happiest as a solo dog mainly because he wants all of your attention and love. For more information please message Tonya at 870-318-4161 or email t.maloy@yahoo.com Applications at helprescueark.org

That’s the Presley version of Elvis. Our version has two of those things. He can’t sing a lick, but he looks like he could. Elvis is smart, friendly and fun. He is a recent graduate of the Paws In Prison training program. He has mastered all basic obedience and passed his Canine Good Citizen test. He has gotten along well with other dogs of similar size and energy. He has not been around tiny dogs or cats. This guy needs a home desperately. He is currently in boarding, which is OK for short term, but not great for the mental and emotional health of a dog who was used to being with someone 24/7 at PIP. Can you offer him a loving home? Granted, he won’t come with a pink Cadillac or sparkly suits. But he will have tons of personality and a song full of love and devotion. For, my darling, he’ll love you. And he always will. Lola Gosh this tiny little girl is so adorable! She is a bully of some variety, but she is only 33 lbs and fully grown at about 2 years old. This tiny queen is absolutely adorable with her partially blue eyes. She followed a kid home from a store and no owner ever claimed her. She had a horrible case of mange (as seen in the last few photos) but she has been treated and her hair is growing back in nicely. She still has some patchy spots that need to fill in but she's 85% there. Lola is a silly, fun loving, happy girl. She gets along great with other dogs and she is very playful. And she has the CUTEST underbite ever! She has been fully vetted and is ready to find her family! Located in Arkansas, but transport is available. Story
Beautiful, Inside and Out! That’s me, I’ve been named appropriately, “Bella”. If I do say so myself, I am “Beautiful” as my name means in 8 different languages. As a 5 year old Lab/pit bull terrier mix weighing approx. 60#, I have what it take to be a great companion. The young “Chippies” have nothing over me. I’ve learned from the best and eager to please. Crate trained, house trained and leash trained, there is a lot that can be said for a “Mature” girl with a HUGE HEART for her people. “What else can we do together to pass the time and bond?”, you ask. Well, let me tell you. This time of year SWIMMING is my #1 love next to my person. Then there is Playing Fetch. Finally, Playing Fetch that includes, you guessed it, SWIMMING!!!!! As the weather cools, I also love the “GFAW” words.. what’s that?? “Go For A Walk”. Then there is the “GFAR”. Have you guessed what that means? “Go For A Ride”, could split a "Pup-a-Chino"! Ok, I think you are getting the handle of my personality. Then the finale test is “TANWMP”. What? YIKES! Do I have you stumped???? “Take A Nap With My Person”! Ha, Ha, Ha!!!! Life is Good! I do have a down side I must admit. My past was not always kind. Although I have been around other dogs, I sometimes am unpredictable due to my unknown history. So, I need to be a single dog to love and cherish my owners by myself and a fenced yard to ensure no mishaps occur with other dogs. I can walk past other dogs and remain VERY WELL BEHAVED, but for some reason, I just don’t tolerate living or spending time with other dogs. I ENJOY “MY PEOPLE” and “WANT THEM ALL TO MYSELF”! Guess that makes me a “People Pleaser”!!! So there you have it.. I didn’t hold back my true self, hide my flaws or pull any paw punches. I am “Bella”, a simple gal that is a LMP - “Love My People” ATMS - “All To My Self” kind of Gal!  Bella has been spayed and is ready for a home of her own. The adoption fee is $275  To submit an adoption application, visit mollysplacerescue.org. Fill the form out completely, print, scan and email back to mollysplace@verizon.net. You must obtain pre-approval prior to visiting the dog or cat. Adoptions fees include the following:    spay/neuter surgery,  microchip and registration,  age appropriate vaccinations,  initial dewormings,  Activyl for fleas,  tested for FeLV and FIV (cats only),  bubble bath prior to going home (dogs only) WE do not "HOLD" animals without an approved application and a non-refundable/non-transferable paid adoption fee.  Adoptions are on a first come, first serve basis.  We can not send extra pictures.  WE do not ship, you must pick up the pet.  Kitties must be transported in a secure cat carrier.   Pooches require a "martingale" collar and a non-retractable leash. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.UPDATE 4/23/2020 She is now 7-1/2 years old.  Posted 5/30/14 Unique was found as a stray and had 2 puppies after being taken in.  She is a young girl at 1-1/2 years old and she is a very busy dog.  She is very loving and loves to play with other dogs, but can be selective on who she likes.Because she is so active we do require a fenced yard for this 70lb dog.  She is crate trained and is housetrained (here).  She is not cat safe and because she jumps we do not recommend kids under 12, she has becoming increasingly unsure of children so we are changing the age to be 18.  She needs obedience training that will make her a perfect dog.  Her adoption fee is $200.  All the dogs are Spayed or Neutered, Heartworm/Lyme tested, UTD on vaccines, microchipped, dewormed, treated for fleas and overall Vet checked. We offer a 30 day money back guarantee along with an adoption kit . Application REQUIRED. Adoption fee required. Story
Hi, I’m Rocco! I ended up in a shelter down in Atlanta, GA as an owner surrender and sadly my time there was up but luckily for me CRCPA came to my rescue! I’m a handsome, enthusiastic young (about 2) boy still learning my manners. I do know the “sit” and “down” cues already and I can’t wait to keep learning! I love giving kisses and being close to my humans. Playing with tug toys is a close second though! I am still learning how to play fetch. The volunteers here all get a good laugh at my squeaky bark, it’s all part of the Rocco charm! Because I really don’t know my size or my strength I would do best in a home with older children. I would need an active family, willing to continue working with me to become the best Rocco I can be! While I’m waiting for my forever family to find me, I’m going to work on staying calm during car rides and while out on walks. Car rides make me so excited! When I was in GA I was tested with an older dog and the volunteers there told CRCPA that I did well with her. I’m not sure how I would do with cats. If you are interested in welcoming this enthusiastic fella into your home, please visit our website, www.crcpa.org, and complete an application! Local families only please.

Story
Hello! My name is Bowser, and very much like "Bowzer" from Sha Na Na, I will have you howling with laughter and entertained like the game show host that I am. I am about 5-6 years young and I found my way to Canine Rescue of Central Pennsylvania when my owner could no longer give me the attention she knew I deserved. I had a great life with her and I learned a lot. I was very loved by my owner although it does take me time to build trust with folks. I am active and appreciate and enjoy the small things in life (which really are the big things): sunsets with my humanz, smelling flowers, long walks, hikes, pleasing my humanz, learning new tricks, and loving unconditionally. Are you ready to hear some of my tricks? I not only sit, stay, give BOTH paws, but I also know "speak." I mean, imagine if we could teach humanz to speak on command and then "stop speaking" on command. See, I told you I was funny. I also walk well on a leash. A little bit about me: I do have a strong prey drive so the perfect home for me with be kitty free and not have small critters. It is all what I was raised with and without. Please understand I am a HUGE LOVE BUCKET. I have never lived in a home with another dog so the introduction would need to be very slow so I know I am safe and can trust the situation. I have played with dogs previously but we defined the term "ruff house." If there are kids in my FURever home, I would simply ask that they are dog savvy. Again, I have been shuffled around in my short 5-6 years and building trust in my FURever home is everything to me. I don't want to label myself "co-dependent" but I love my humanz and I get sad and anxious when I am left alone. In a perfect world, my FURever family will be home a lot so we can have a non-stop LOVE FEST. Look into my eyes. My eyes are the window to my soul. I am eager to learn new tricks.. I am smart and all I want in life is to love and be loved unconditionally. If you are ready for a life partner and best friend, let's rescue each other. Please consider completing an application for Bowser on our website: www.crcpa.org/adopt.

Story
Lydia is the sweetest land seal (and LOVE BUG) on the planet. Lydia goes from K9 to land seal in a nanosecond. K9's are so loving, forgiving, and rescued dogs somehow know when they are rescued and that they are finally "safe." Lydia is a perfect example of K9's resilience and their pure unconditional love. Let's get Lydia's "carfax" out of the way because no one likes to hear a sad puppy story. This PERFECT angel was found as a stray in North Carolina. The scars that she has on her face are from her escaping capture when animal control tried to "catch" her. She was more than likely escaping capture to make sure she did not go back to where she came from. She knew she deserved more than what life gave her in her first 3-4 years. In spite of a less than optimal first few years of her life, she is 100% love. Not a mean bone in her sweet body. Lydia is truly a volunteer favorite. In her short time with us, we watched her trust grow right in front of our eyes. She can be shy as humans clearly let her down in the past. After being with us, she has not tried to escape when being leashed or walked because she knows she is safe and loved. While it is great to meet a dog and instantly see their demeanor and lovely personality, Lydia needs patience and a little time to get to know her FURever family. She is a ROCKSTAR, and she showed her sweet personality almost instantly once at the rescue but anyone meeting her needs to know she just needs to feel safe and she will -- a little patience, sprinkled with unconditional love = perfection. A few words from Lydia the love bug/land seal herself: I am a shy girl, but I am all love once I know I am safe. I trust quickly but I ask for your patience. I am not opposed to a K9 sibling (as I have been non-reactive to K9's I have met at the rescue so far) but I would need to meet a potential sibling several times to be sure we are a good fit and that the transition goes well for both of us. Because I was found as a stray, the rescue doesn't know if I lived with other dogs prior to coming to the rescue. I also love walks, but I also thoroughly enjoy chilling with my humanz. I am sweet and I walk well on a leash. I am kind, loving, calm, well mannered, intentional, mindful, graceful, and very smart. I love learning new tricks and I love treats (I mean -- who doesn't). I will thrive in a home without children as their quick movements make me nervous. If you are looking for a best friend, I am your girl. Let's rescue each other. All I want in this life is to love unconditionally and to receive the same. I have so much love to give! If you are local to the Dillsburg area, and interested in meeting Lydia, please visit our website, www.crcpa.org, to learn more about our adoption process and complete an application.

Meet Tevya very shy and timid at first but then look out for the cuddles, he is neutered and up to date on the vaccines available for adoption only for approved homes This baby was taken in by a concerned person because he was wandering a neighborhood for a couple of weeks. Instead of turning him in to animal control, they did the responsible thing and had Tevya vetted while holding him until a rescue could take him in. He is a swell guy, happy go lucky and loves everyone. Not that large, just kinda chunky...

PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.5/7/24 Happy Toothsday! These sweet girls are still available for adoption. They both have spina bifida which has left them completely incontinent. They wear diapers and do great staying clean with just a couple of diaper changes daily, and they sleep in a crate with a grate in the bottom at night so they can 'air out.' Aside from that, they are healthy and fully vetted. These little girls are just a joy to have. They have endless amounts of love to give, but they are excellent at playing together and entertaining themselves as well. They are very well behaved. They are happy to get any attention, but are not demanding if you are busy. They don't get into things they shouldn't, they are good about playing with their toys. They are strictly a package deal and absolutely will not be seperated, even if that means they stay here forever. But I would love for them to find a home with someone who can give them more time and attention than I can. I have spent a small fortune on them- beyond the regular vetting, I've also had soft palate surgery on Poundcake and cherry eye surgery on Shortbread, and then the cost of their diapers as they have grown, diapers liners, suspenders, etc. But I don't expect to get all of that back. This is the nature of rescue. The main goal is to find a home for them with someone who can afford to keep them in diapers and has the time to give them. With that said, they are not free and do have an adoption fee that is appropriate for their breed. It is a big commitment to have 2 dogs in diapers. But once you get into a routine, it's very easy to keep them comfortable, clean, and happy. These girls get along very well with other dogs and they love kids as well. Growing up in rescue, they have become a little bit shy with new people, only because they haven't been around many people besides us. But they warm up very quickly. Poundcake (brown and white) is the more cuddly of the two. She loves to sit in a lap, give all the kisses, and just snuggle as much as possible. Shortbread (brindle and white) is the more busy, playful of the two. She also loves to cuddle but once she's had her loves, she is ready to get down and play. Neither are high energy dogs. In fact they are the typical, slow, kind of lazy English Bulldogs. Short bursts of playful energy followed by a long nap is their jam. They are about 6-7 months old and weigh about 35 lbs each.
