Story
Meet Eros!Eros was originally taken in by our Humane Law Enforcement team in March of 2023 and has been eagerly awaiting a home ever since. Due to his past, this sweet boy can be unsure of new people but is eager to please and loves to play, run, and get belly rubs! He can be pretty strong on the leash, so he is looking for a strong handler who is willing to work on training with him. He'd prefer an active home where he can receive plenty of exercise, love, and enrichment. Eros is open to meeting other medium/large high energy dogs who can be tolerant of his need to play, play play! Due to his rambunctious nature, he's looking for a home with no small children and no kitties. If you're interested in meeting me, I am located at the Danville PSPCA on Bloom Rd. -- open daily from 12:00 - 6:00 (no appointment needed - all people in the home required to meet the dog before going forward with adoption, along with any dogs in the home with proof of Rabies Vaccine & DHPP Vaccine) If you have any questions about me, feel free to call the shelter at 570-275-0340 or email us at Danville@PSPCA.org

Story
Meet Lana!Lana is the perfect pittie angel--sweet, wiggly, happy and affectionate. Unfortunately, she has been dealt a difficult hand here at the shelter. Lana is heartworm positive with a long extensive treatment in the works AND recovering from a suspect torn cruciate. Lana is looking for a local foster-to-adopt home, where she can continue her heartworm treatment, and be up for the challenge of keeping Lana enriched while she remains mostly kennel rested. Lana is open to meeting other dogs and kitties. She would be open to meeting older kids who can respectful of her space during this healing time. Lana does prefer women over men. If you're interested in meeting Lana, she is located at the Danville PSPCA on Bloom Rd. -- open daily from 12:00 - 6:00 (no appointment needed - all people in the home required to meet the dog before going forward with a foster-to-adopt, along with any dogs in the home with proof of Rabies Vaccine & DHPP Vaccine) If you have any questions about her, feel free to call the shelter at 570-275-0340 or email us at Danville@PSPCA.org

Story
Hey, my name is Wallace ! I'm a sweet boy looking for my furever home. Don't let my big size fool you, I am a big love bug looking for some affection. I love to be the center of attention and love people in general. I would need an adult only home. I am young and full of life so I would hope my potential adopters are up for an active lifestyle! If you think your home has a spot for a big pup with a big heart please come down to the shelter and meet me! Wallace is a one year old pit who was brought to ARC when his previous owners could no longer care for him. Any potential canine siblings would require a meet and greet at our shelter. (a home without cats, would be best due to his size and energy). Wallace is neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. If interested in meeting Wallace, Fill out a pre-approval on our website: www.nokillarc.org and e-mail Tori at Tori@nokillarc.org

Story
Minnie came to us after we received a phone call from The Danville Police Department who were needing assistance with a dog that had been found by a member of the public in pretty rough shape and obvious distress. It is believed that she was very likely hit by a car, leaving her with some trauma to her head and to her rear/ back legs. Minnie is estimated to be 7 years old with the happiest little snorts and cutest little wobble to her walk, that is sure to just make your heart happy when you see it. She has been enjoying going on her daily walks around the property, playing with her toys, but especially loves getting all the attention and love she's been looking for. Minnie seems to do well with other dogs and although, she may be a little timid at first, she is social with people (but would be best in a home with older children). A meet and greet would be required at our shelter for any potential canine siblings. Minnie is spayed, microchipped & up to date on all her vaccinations. If you are interested in adopting Minnie, please go to our website: www.nokillarc.org to fill out a pre-approval form (it can be located under the ‘adoptable dogs' section).

Story
Meet Mac, the most adorable 3-year-old pit mix you'll ever lay eyes on! Mac has been through a lot - he came into the shelter as a stray and sadly, no one ever came to claim him. He's feeling scared and stressed in the shelter environment, and he desperately needs a home and loving family to call his own. Mac is a sweetheart with the cutest ears you've ever seen! Despite his tough past, he's a sensitive boy who's just looking for someone to give him the love and security he deserves. He's a bit unsure around strangers at first, but once he trusts you, he's the most loyal companion you could ask for. This smart boy has tons of potential with the right training. He's eager to learn and impress, and he'll thrive with someone who can give him the guidance and patience he needs. Mac is full of energy and loves to play - he'll keep you entertained for hours with his antics! Mac gets along with all the other dogs at the shelter, and did well during his "cat-test." He's ready to be the best buddy for someone who's willing to give him a chance. Could you be the one to give Mac the loving home he so desperately craves? Don't let this amazing boy spend another day in the shelter - adopt Mac today and give him the happy ending he deserves! Mac is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. If interested in adopting, please go to our website: www.nokillarc.org to fill out a pre-approval form (located under the adoptable dogs' section).

Story
Penny for Your Thoughts? This adoptable dog hopes they include her! Penny is a (estimated) 3 year old who weights 42 pounds-the perfect size for any house. Penny can be a little wary at first-but doesn't take long to warm up. Once comfortable, Penny is the queen of chill, and would make the perfect companion for anyone who can show her the devotion and respect she deserves. We imagine she's be just as content enjoying a cozy weekend at home as she would be exploring the great outdoors, and she's quickly getting the hang of walks on a leash.Penny can't be placed in a home with cats. She can be dog selective at times, and seems to do better with female dogs- a meet and greet would be required for any potential canine siblings. Do you have room in your family for Penny? Penny is spayed, microchipped and up to date on all vaccinations. If interested in adopting, please go to our website: www.nokillarc.org to fill out a pre-approval form (it can be located under the ‘adoptable dog' section)
