Story
Cash is a stray that was brought into Fur Ever Friends Rescue & Doggie Day Care. He loves to give hugs. He is a big boy and seems to be a gentle giant. Take treats gentle. Keeps a clean create. He needs someone who is willing to work with him. He just wants attention. He is so sweet. Please research this breed of dog before considering adopting. First submit an application. Once the application has been received. You will be contacted so we can set up an appointment for you to meet your new best friend. You will need to submit veterinary references and have a fenced in yard. If you currently have other dogs, the following information can help you with introductions. 1.The first introduction between ND and ED should be outdoors in the yard or driveway. Though this is ED’s territory, it is more neutral than inside the house. 2. After the first introduction, immediately take ND and ED on a short walk together. Then bring them inside and feed them a small meal together. Both dogs should be leashed for this so that you can keep them from interfering with the other dog’s food. This sets a precedent for ND being a part of the pack and routine. 3. All interactions between ND and ED need to be positive. If this means they only interact for a few minutes at a time to sniff each other, then this is all they should get. Frequent, positive interactions, especially in the first few days, are vital to having a successful integration.

Story
Nellie came to me in a heartbreaking condition. She was adopted from the pound when she was a puppy and was brought back at 4 years old in a terrible condition. She was severely underweight, missing teeth, and recovering from a broken hip. Despite all she's been through, she is a loving and affectionate spirit. She is potty trained and crate trained during the day. She free roams at night and has never torn anything up; however, she would prefer to sleep in the bed with you... We're still working on her jumping (she gets super excited) but she's improving every day. She responds extremely well to training and is a quick learner. She's currently in a home with another female pitbull and they are not the best of friends. She may be best as the only dog or possibly with a calm, male dog. We're still learning about her behavior with other dogs outside of the home, so a meet and greet would be ideal with other dogs. The ideal home would be someone who wants a cuddle buddy for life, a secure yard, and someone who is able to give her the attention she deserves. She has overcome more than most dogs ever will and through it all she has remained a total sweetheart. She's come such a long way and is more than ready to find her forever family. When I first fostered Nellie, she was very shy and quiet. Now that she has started to feel better, her energy has really started to shine. She's turned into a completely different dog. She's playful, goofy, and extremely loving. She's the kind of dog who will full on flop into your lap to get her daily cuddles. If you're sitting, she's snuggling. She can sometimes be a velcro dog and is curious what you're doing at all times. When she's outside, she wants you there with her to watch her run and play fetch with her tennis balls.

Meet Daisy! She used to like to hang around the Choctaw administration building when she was astray and the ladies there fed and watered her. They couldn’t get her to come to them, she would lay under one of the vehicles for shade and to stay cool. They tried and tried to win her over but ended up she had to be trapped. She was taken to a partner rescue where she was not reclaimed by her owners. Now this sweet girl is hoping and praying for a loving family to give her all the attention she so deserves. Daisy loves friends (canince friends, no cats) and would love a fenced yard to play in. She doesn’t jump fences or gates, not a digger, she is 100% a good girl! She plays rough with friends but love love loves couch cuddles!!! She will bark and get crazy with friends through the fence but it’s just a barrier issue. She is an angel with friends when in the same yard. She does well on leash and is kennel trained. No cats for Daisy. She has not been around any young children. Story
Patrick is one of our visitors we are helping house from the Choctaw rescue fire at FurEverFriends. He had some nose scraps and a leg injury upon arrival but he is 100% healed and ready to go. He is a gorgeous champagne color. His only real downfall is his huge muscle tail. Anyone who has owned a Pitt knows those tails can clear a coffee table in one swoop. We are still getting to know him with friends but so far everyone he has been with, boy or girl and big or small, he has done well with under supervision. He has only talked back to one large male but didn’t react negatively. His hair stood up and he presented a low growl for the male to get out of his space. He and that male are kenneled side by side with no issues. He likes to ride with his head in your lap in the car. Does pretty well on leash, pulls a little. Potty trained and kennel trained. He has slight allergies as most Pitts do. Gets benadryl in his breakfast and that gets him through the day. Patrick would love a warm couch and loving owner to curl up with and watch tv. He is one of those loving, affectionate pitts that will lick your skin off if you let him.
