We found Brutus in a trailer park after he was abandoned by his original owner. He's a young dog, but he hates being left alone and he has some behavioral issues. (gets excited and will jump on you without any warning which can be a little scary to some people) He loves chewing things. He's a great walking dog, always on high alert. He's a sweet boy, but a little slow. All he needs is someone who has enough time on their hands to train him. His groin area may need surgery that we cannot afford. He has a permanent "lipstick" and he pees in a different direction. He cannot sit properly and will lay on his butt rather than a normal sit pose like a regular dog. He cannot tolerate any wet food. Ultimately, we are already breaking the bank with our elderly dog Oakley that is nearing the end stages of her life and we would like to focus on her health during this difficult time as we are also moving in a week.

This is Bear (Formerly Badger), the pup abandoned by his owner near Willow View Cemetery. He needs a permanent loving home. He's such a good boy. We're doing all that we can to help him find that special someone or family willing to give him the love that he so desperately deserves. Are you out there? You'll need to be patient and understanding with him. The crate makes him nervous though. Due to his scars and his nervousness around other dogs and closed crates, it's best he be in a one dog household. Consistent and patient training can alleviate some of these fears though. He absolutely loves car rides, people and attention, and just wants to be near you. We are doing meet and greets with the families interested in adopting him. He's about 9 years of age. But he still does his best to please you and he is house broken. He will be happiest in a home where he can always be with his people. He hates being alone. Are you that special someone? Bear was abandoned by my work on 12/29/2024. We brought him home in hopes of being able to keep him. But our pup isn't nice to him. Bear however is pretty chill, so he may be ok with another calm dog. He absolutely LOVES people. He's super smart, and curious. We can tell that he was abused a great deal in his past. Because of that, we are going to be careful with whom we place him with. We just want him to know only love and patience and understanding from here on out. He deserves that in the very least. He loves to be by your side, or have you in his sight. He loves to show you how much he loves you. He hugs and leans into you. A one story home with a fenced yard is ideal for him. He does have arthritis starting in his hips, he's a big pup. He loves chew toys, and cozy beds, and soft blankets. He LOVES to have his ears and nose and any other previously injured areas rubbed with coconut oil. I do this everyday, he lays down for it. Would you like to meet Bear? Let us know!
