Story
Allow us to introduce you to ROSCOE. He is a 2 year old owner surrender to our pound. His owner got into some legal trouble and could no longer care for ROSCOE. ROSCOE is a great dog. He is extremely athletic and loves to run and play. He can chase a ball for as long as you are willing to throw it. He will often bring it back to you, but when he does, it means he wants you to throw it again so he can take off running. ROSCOE is housebroken and neutered, and is extremely treat motivated to please. His rabies vaccine is current but his DHLPPC will need to be updated. This boy is active and would do best with an energetic family, but ROSCOE likes to cuddle up and snuggle too. He is good with kids and seems fine with the other dogs at the pound, but a meetngreet will be necessary. He will be protective of those he loves and will alert you to anyone coming around. Harrison County Dog Pound, 82900 Toot Rd. Cadiz, OH 43907 Open: Monday-Friday 10am-4pm; Saturday 9am-2pm; Closed Sundays and holidays. Out of state adoptions welcomed. Applications are available at the pound and online at harrisoncountydogpoundvolunteers, org. Apple users must access our website and submit application using Google, not Safari. $40 adoption fee.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Georgia! This delightful pup wagged her way into our hearts on March 25, 2024, arriving from the local dog pound. Initially a bit timid, Georgia quickly adapted and now radiates boundless puppy enthusiasm, approaching each day as an adventure waiting to unfold. With her insatiable curiosity and infectious joy, every walk is a lively escapade! Georgia is not only spirited but also incredibly affectionate. Petite and lean, she loves playtime and cuddles. She does well with adults and kids, and while she’s done fine on a leash around cats, she may be tempted to chase them—it’s hard to know for sure. Georgia enjoys running along the fence with her neighbor dogs and may thrive with a male dog or a non-dominant female, as she prefers not to be dominated. One of Georgia's cutest traits is her endearing head tilt when you talk to her, as though she’s genuinely trying to understand every word. Despite her Lyme-positive diagnosis, Georgia responded well to treatment, is symptom-free, and fully Lyme-vaccinated. She’s up-to-date on all her health needs and ready for a life filled with growth, discovery, and love. With her beauty, charm, and big heart, Georgia is eagerly waiting to become a beloved member of a forever family. Are you ready to open your heart and home to this remarkable pup? Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Katie! This beautiful girl was rescued by law enforcement alongside two other dogs and is now eagerly searching for her forever family. At 3 to 4 years old, Katie is up-to-date on her vaccinations and, thankfully, has tested negative for Lyme disease. She’s also been vaccinated to stay protected. Recently, Katie recovered from a severe skin infection caused by fleas, and after all she’s been through, she now has a hernia at her spay incision. We’ll be taking care of this for her after Thanksgiving. Katie has a gentle, loving nature despite her challenging past. She’s a pro with cats and can often be found lounging with about ten of them in the shelter’s main room. She also loves car rides and is a calm, patient travel companion—even during long vet visits! Though she’s initially hesitant at bath time, she hops right into the tub and is easy to bathe. Katie doesn’t enjoy the shelter environment, but her true personality shines through: she’s fun, polite, and affectionate. Full of energy and ready to love, Katie would be an incredible addition to any family. If you’re looking for a loyal, gentle friend to brighten your days, Katie could be the one for you! Story
Meet Tonka, a sweet and lovable puppy looking for his forever home! Tonka is incredibly smart, eager to please, and quick to learn, making him a joy to train. He’s also very observant and attentive, always ready to bond with his humans. Due to past experiences, Tonka cannot be around cats, so a cat-free home is a must. While he can adapt to a kennel, he’s much happier when he’s free to explore and interact. We believe he may have come from a puppy mill and spent a lot of time kenneled, so he deserves a home where he can thrive and feel secure. His tail was broken 4 times so had it amputated, he is much happier for it. It’s heartbreaking to rehome him. Tonka has so much love to give and would be the perfect fit for someone ready to give him the care and attention he needs. If you think you’re the right match for Tonka, let’s connect!

Story
Neika is a 2 year-old sweetheart who was surrendered to Pet Search. She weighs approximately 50 pounds. She is house broken, and can ring a bell when she wants to go outside. She is very energetic, loves to play and snuggle and walks well on a leash with a gentle lead collar. After being adopted, she came back to us--she became the alpha/protector at her new home, which resulted in being aggressive with smaller dogs. She needs an alpha owner willing to work with her on impulse and leash control. (Pet Search can recommend a trainer who has been working with her.) We recommend a fenced yard, lots of play time, and a home with no young children because of her energy level. Neika is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. Applications can be made through https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/PAPS/Dog or Petsearchpa.org KL#03301 Washington PA 15301
