Story
Meet Rosie! She is a super sweet girl with a ton of energy! While we are not sure how she would do with cats, we do know she does well with children. She also does well with other dogs but is food reactive towards them and would need to be fed separately from any other dogs in the home. Rosie loves to be outside and would make a great hiking or adventure buddy. She does know a few commands such as sit and wait, but would greatly benefit from ongoing training and enrichment. If you would like to meet with Rosie, please call or stop by SPCA Cincinnati for more information.

Story
Meet Ruby – Your Spotted Sidekick!Part Dalmatian dazzle, part pit/terrier charm, Ruby is a petite 48-pound stunner who’ll steal hearts and turn heads. But her beauty? Just the opening act. This velcro pup lives for companionship, following you like a shadow and snuggling like a pro. She’s calm and quiet (barely barks!) but takes her critter patrol duties seriously, softly growling to keep the night watch under control.Ruby loves a good squirrel chase and is house-trained, polite (mostly—still learning “no couch!”), and no food thief. Toys? She’s into ropes and fuzzy stuff but won’t touch your shoes or remotes. Bonus: she’s got no bowl-guarding drama!Leash training’s still in progress (she’s a little too excited to explore), and she might take a minute to warm up to new people or tall strangers. But once Ruby feels safe, she’s all love and loyalty.Ruby’s looking for a home where she can be the star of the show—no other pets, please! She’s happiest when she doesn’t have to share her humans or her space.Quirks? Sure—she snores like a champ and has a dog-bed obsession. But those quirks just make her more lovable.Ruby’s sweet, sensitive, and ready to be your one-of-a-kind BFF.

Bear is sweet boy with a lot of energy. He is has been socialized and does well with other dogs and kids. We are not sure how he would do with cats. Bear loves people, especially females. Nothing against men, he is friendly with them as well, but he prefers the ladies. He loves attention and snuggles. He will need training and a refresher in house breaking. All snacks are Bear`s favorite, which will make training easier. He does get a little nervous about going through door ways, but can be coaxed with treats and reassurance. If you would like to meet Bear, please stop by SPCA Cincinnati to visit him and all our other adoptable pets. HNB

Story
Hello! My name is Boomer! I seem to do well with other dogs, but I do need a feline free home. I do not care for cats and will chase them. I do have a high activity level and will need some training and plenty of exercise to help keep that under control. I am good on a leash and love to roll in the grass. I have never lived with children, but due to me playing kind of rough, I would do a best in a home where there are older children or just adults. Ask to see me today! I am ready for my forever!

Story
Shadow is a high energy boy, who is very playful. He has had limited exposure to children under 15 years old so we are not sure how he would do with smaller children. Shadow seems to do well with other dogs, but would need to be introduced slowly to any new dogs. If you have children or other dogs at home please bring them in for a meet and greet to see how they do. Shadow does know a few commands, such as, sit, wait, lay down and no. He would greatly benefit from consistent and ongoing training to keep him being the best boy he can be. He is very food motivated, which will make training easier. He was house broken and crate trained when he cam to us, but may need a refresher due to being in a shelter setting. Shadow`s enjoys sunbathing, walks, pets, cuddles and playing with the laser pointer. He, also like to chew on bones and his Kong`s. He does well with baths and likes the water. Shadow does tend to get car sick, so if you are planning a car trip with him it is best to not feed prior to leaving. He does have a fear of loud noises, such as, fireworks and thunder. IF you would like to meet Shadow, please stop by SPCA Cincinnati to visit him and all our other adoptable pets.

Gracie is five years old. She is a pitbull mix. Gracie is spayed and housebroken. She is also micro chipped. Gracie loves her people fiercely and greets you with a wagging tail and wiggling body. Gracie loves to play with toys, chew on bones, play tug with the rope, hunt lizards and sniff the ENTIRE yard. She is not the biggest fan of clothing. She loves to give kisses and snuggle and is happy to sleep on the end of the bed if given the opportunity. She is afraid of loud noises such as fireworks. Her arch nemesis is the vacuum. She would be best suited for a home without cats or small dogs.

We adopted Popperdelle from a shelter in hopes to find a friend for our other dog at home. Things were going good and now things have gone south and we need to keep the dogs separated on account they will go after one another and really hurt each other. We've been trying to a couple months now to find her a new home but have hit all dead ends. She is a sweet heart but a one dog home is recommended.

Story
Henry is a nearly 2 year old wonderful, energetic, loving dog. He jumps around a lot to play with toys, especially balls. He enjoys cuddling and will lick all over the person he is with. We got Henry from another home where there was an aggressive older male, and wanted to give him a warm, welcome home where he could be happy and healthy. We had a puppy introduced into the house, and now at 5 months old the puppy is starting to go through significant changes. Unfortunately, Henry has become aggressive to the new male pup, and bit him on his ear quite badly when the puppy approached him the other day. It was shocking, as he had not shown any kind of aggressive behavior since we got him. There were indications of food hoarding and jealousy when our other dogs received attention. I am looking for a happy home without another pet where Henry can live his best life. He deserves all the love in the world, and as devastating as it is, I don't think he can be happy with another pet.

Story
am relocating to a new city and will be unable to sstake my dog with me. Sug (Suga mama) is a 2 year old pitbull that I found a little over a year ago. She is highly energetic would thrive with an active family. She has basic obedience down. She’s good with kids, but is not great with other dogs (I didn’t socialize her) she’s been to training, has been fixed and is up to date on her shots. She is very loving and likes to be in your skin. She is crate trained. For boarding she works best in a suite environment as kennels give her anxiety. She’s been such a joy and is such a cutie. Looking for someone to take her as their own or foster her for 3-4 months while I get settled, find a suitable place.
