Henry is a nearly 2 year old wonderful, energetic, loving dog. He jumps around a lot to play with toys, especially balls. He enjoys cuddling and will lick all over the person he is with. We got Henry from another home where there was an aggressive older male, and wanted to give him a warm, welcome home where he could be happy and healthy. We had a puppy introduced into the house, and now at 5 months old the puppy is starting to go through significant changes. Unfortunately, Henry has become aggressive to the new male pup, and bit him on his ear quite badly when the puppy approached him the other day. It was shocking, as he had not shown any kind of aggressive behavior since we got him. There were indications of food hoarding and jealousy when our other dogs received attention. I am looking for a happy home without another pet where Henry can live his best life. He deserves all the love in the world, and as devastating as it is, I don't think he can be happy with another pet.

MEET DREXIE!!! Miss Drexie is a (DOB 06/08/20) beautiful female PiPei (Pit Bull/Shar-Pei mix). She is just as sweet as she looks. She loves other dogs. Unknown with cats. Would do best with older children because she is still learning her manners. It was determined that the bow in her front legs was (most likely) intentional as she did have bilateral broken bones that have healed. She had had a few litters in her short little life. Drexie was rescued from a hoarding case in Dayton where she only knew life on a logging chain. Better days since then and better life ahead of her. Our girl is now fully Vetted and looking for her furever home.

You will never find a sweeter girl than Honey BooBoo. Honey BooBoo came into the rescue in December of '22, completely pregnant and in very poor health. She had eight gorgeous babies (one didn't survive) on Christmas Eve eve. All of her babies have long ago been adopted but this, the sweetest girl on the planet, is still awaiting her furever. HBB is fully vetted, she adores other dogs and loves all people. She does need to practice her manners a little with not pulling on the leash and not to be all up in your business but she just wants to be close her any human for lots and lots of love. Who is going to step up for this special boy and change his world? You know, Sherman is cute as a bug but he is not the easiest dog to foster. Not what you were expecting to hear? Well, hear me out- Sherman deserves better. And I believe that a better life for him starts with honesty. He's been let down before and I refuse to let him down again. He was found as a stray. Whether he was dumped or just not secured well in his yard, we don't know. What we do know is that he was failed. Somebody brought home this adorable cuteness of a puppy and we can only assume, grew tired of him. They didn't even try to teach him how to be a good dog (that doesn't happen magically, BTW), no manners, no "tricks". I guess he was supposed to figure it out for himself and when he didn't, well, that's where we come in. He is a beautiful bundle of boundless energy. He loves to play ball and is learning to "release" so the play can go on. He is learning to "come" so the ball can get thrown over and over. He is learning "sit" as he has to "sit" and "release" before foster mom will throw the ball again. He is wary of strangers- can you blame him??? He does fine with slow intros. He likes other dogs but is very dominant so any dog buddies would need to be willing to put up with his shenanigans. We are recommending a home with teenage children and up due to his size and level of energy as well dog awareness. His ideal home would be with an active person looking for a forever loyal friend. Someone that will take him on hikes and throw that ball over and over and over. He needs someone committed to training him to help him be his best self. So, no. Sherman is not the easiest dog to foster and he won't be the easiest dog to find that perfect home for. But I don't care. Because I will keep loving on him until that perfect someone comes forward. Please help share Sherman's story!

I need to rehome my 5 yr old female Pitty Mix, she is absolutely an amazing dog, she knows Sit, Stay, Shake and lay down commands but she is very stubborn and doesn’t always want to listen. She is the shadow you always wanted, is not afraid of anything, will literally follow you around while you mow/weed eat and or use the leaf blower as this doesn’t seem to bother her. She is house trained, can go 10 hrs without going outside without accidents and does not destroy anything in the house. She likes playing with toys and has some favorite kinds that I will be happy to buy and send with her. She walks well on a leash and would probably enjoy walks, runs or just getting out and about, I just don’t have that lifestyle. I am not looking for a rehoming fee, I just want her to find a loving home, someone who can give her that ‘only’ dog lifestyle she so desperately needs. I have her vet records, a box of Heartworm meds and even a dog bed she loves I will send with her.

Brownie and Baby were found running across I75 near Wagner Ford Rd. They get along very well and love to play together. They both love attention once they know and trust the person. Baby is a bit selective with who he decides to love, but once he gets a chance to know and trust you he will love you forever! He gets along great with teenagers but should not be in a home with young kids. Unfortunately Baby has heartworms and started heartworm treatment. However, he did not do well physically or emotionally with the treatment. After consulting with our veterinarian and a behaviorist we have decided to not give any more heartworm injections at this time. He will continue on his heartworm prevention that will keep any more heartworms from reaching the adult stage, and just let any remaining adult worms die out. Baby is looking for a foster or adoptive home. He needs to be with an experienced dog person. I'm certain these two have had a pretty rough life up until this point, I'm afraid to even imagine what they've been through. Now they just need lots of training, love, and patience. They have both worked with trainers and have learned to walk nicely on leash as well as sit and wait nicely at doorways. Babe is a very loving boy. ##1199054##

Smoosh face alert!!! If you want a cutie, patootie smoosh face then look no further. Alessia aka Ruka is one of the sweetest, loving (craves affection) and gentlest dogs ever met. She is excellent with all humans... even the little kind. As of now it is unknown how well she would get along with other dogs. She has shown absolutely no aggression towards any dogs so as a precaution, I would recommend using a muzzle. Alessia loves being told she's a good girl. Secretly, I think she thinks she is a Princess. She is very good getting her face washed and going for car rides. You will often find Alessia sitting (like a human) and watching TV with her little human friends. AND Alessia, of course, loves TREATS!!! Some more great things about Alessia is she is crate and house trained. She's such an amazing dog and has the cutest personality. She has the absolute cutest wiggle butt ever!!! Anyone would be lucky to have her.

Meet Lillith, Lilly for short. Lilly was on the euthanasia list at the Preble County Warden's office. We were able to "pull" this sweet girl and get her into foster care where she has gone from skin and bones to a joyful, thriving, beautiful girl. Lilly's DOB is 12/11/19. She is crate and potty-trained. Lilly likes to watch birds and squirrels. She will chase them a bit. She loves to look for treats in the yard and she loves belly rubs. Lilly has gotten used to being wiped down with a wet towel. She's not a fan of getting her teeth brushed or cutting her toenails but she'll let you do it. She's always down for a walk. Lilly loves to cuddle with her humans but is a bit picky with her dog friends. She does ok with male dogs but definitely not females. It might be better if she doesn't have to share all the snuggles with any dogs. If you would like to give Lilly her happily ever after please fill out an application.
