Story
With eyes as golden as her name, Honey is a gentle soul who’s looking for a calm, patient home where she can truly feel safe and loved. Originally found as a stray, Honey has known the uncertainty of life on her own—but through it all, she’s remained respectful, thoughtful, and quietly affectionate.Honey spent a few months in a home where she got along well with a younger male dog, but struggled to bond with a dominant female dog. She’s shown she can be a wonderful companion with the right match and would likely do best as the only dog or with a calm, respectful canine friend. Honey has also shown some resource guarding around food, but she’s incredibly polite and will sit and wait patiently when asked—she just prefers her meals in peace and her space respected.Because of her sensitivity and desire for a low-stress environment, Honey is looking for a home without young children. She thrives in quiet moments, loves being outdoors, and walks beautifully on a leash. She already knows several commands, is muzzle trained, and is eager to please the people she trusts.Honey may not be the dog who leaps into your lap right away—but give her time, and you’ll discover a deeply loyal friend with a heart as golden as her eyes. She’s sweet, soulful, and so ready to find her forever. If you believe in second chances and the quiet magic of earning a dog’s trust, Honey will reward you with a love that’s deep, steady, and absolutely priceless.More information? Story
Say hi to Figgy Pudding… aka “Figgy Piggy” and “Figlet”! Figgy is a professional toy hoarder. She patrols the yard like a slightly overweight mall cop making sure every toy is exactly where she left it: in her mouth. Or under her belly. Or buried in the couch cushions. She’s friendly with kids and big dogs only—small dogs and cats? Absolutely not. Figgy didn’t get this size by sharing snacks with pipsqueaks.Looking for a canine roommate with the personality of a diva, the body of a bean bag, and the soul of a squeaky-toy-slaying warrior?Figgy Pudding is here to roll into your life and steal your heart (and probably your dinner).More information? Story
👑 All Hail King Kane 👑“You may address me as Your Majesty… or just Kane. That works too.”After five long years of being in and out of the shelter royal palace, Kane is finally ready to reclaim his throne—this time, in a forever kingdom of his very own.Big? Yes.Beefy? Absolutely.Mouthy? Only when his royal opinions are ignored.Kane isn’t your average dog. He’s a one-dog monarchy. A majestic land hippo with a bark that echoes through the halls and a presence that demands respect, snacks, and zero sweatshirts. (Seriously. Do not clothe the king.)This monarch has a very specific list of royal preferences:👑 No children in the kingdom—small humans don’t understand protocol.👑 No other animals—His Majesty does not share the throne.👑 Bring offerings of enormous blankets for royal lounging. Bonus points if they’re fluffy.👑 Be okay with Kane occasionally mouthing your arm like a medieval turkey leg. It’s how he shows affection… probably.Kane has had a rough reign—years of bouncing between castles (shelters), waiting for someone who gets him. He’s not here to be the village jester. He’s not a knight in shining armor. He’s a king—equal parts muscle, loyalty, and glorious attitude. But for the right subject? He’ll be your fiercely devoted ruler of the living room. Your silent protector. Your blanket-loving, sweatshirt-hating best friend.Long live Kane.Give him a chance to rule your heart—and your couch. 🐾🛋️💂‍♂️More information? Story
We’re calling this new sweetie pie Gemini. We aren’t sure what her story is, as she was brought in as a “stray”, but she is very, very scared. She doesn’t seem like she’s been treated well a day in her life. She has lots of little scabs and scars on her and she’s scared of touch. She has finally started to trust us and seek out affection. She’s going to need someone calm and patient, and willing to take things at her pace. She’s available to foster or adopt. If you’d like to meet Gemini, let us know!

Story
Imagine looking at Dino’s cute face and thinking he’s not worth the trouble.Dino is a familiar face at the pound, a frequent flyer, if you will. He had a reputation for sneaking out of his house and patrolling the streets by himself. After a while, his owner decided he didn’t want to come pick him up from the pound anymore, so he left him behind.Dino literally just needs someone to establish boundaries and keep an eye on him. Don’t leave him outside unattended. Teach him to stay in place when you’re opening the front door. He has tremendous potential, and it’s being wasted in a kennel at the pound.Dino loves female dogs (hello, ladies man), but isn’t a fan of males…or cats. He’s goofy and playful and might even enjoy having some kids around. Dino is an amazing dog and we see the real him behind the reputation. If you think Dino is worthy of a second chance, come meet him. You’re going to fall in love.

Story
Meet Hank! Hank found himself back at the pound for barking and jumping too much, and not listening… but after spending time with him, it’s clear this young guy wasn’t being bad — he was just being a dog who wanted attention, play, and companionship.Hank was excited and affectionate in the yard earlier, eager to interact and have fun. Yes, he jumps — not out of defiance, but out of enthusiasm and love. When playtime ended and he was left alone, he cried and barked, clearly hoping for more time with his person. This boy thrives on human connection. He appears to be potty trained and walks fairly well on a leash. Hank hasn’t shown any issues around the other dogs at the pound, though he’ll be dog-tested again to make sure he’s a good match for potential furry siblings.Hank would do best with an active adopter who understands young dogs need time, patience, and outlets for their energy. With consistent guidance, playtime, and affection, Hank will be an incredible companion. He’s a good boy. He just needs the right person to grow up with.

Story
Meet Nala, our resident beefcake with a heart of gold. 💪💖Nala is strong, solid, and impressive at first glance — but give her a moment and you’ll see what she really is: a total love bug who just wants affection, reassurance, and someone to call her own. She does best as the only pet in the home, but she’s great with children and thrives on human companionship. Her past hasn’t been kind. Nala came to the shelter emaciated, after spending much of her life locked in a crate, with painful urine-scalded feet and legs. Despite everything she endured, she never lost her gentle spirit or her desire to trust people. She’s had professional training, giving her a solid foundation, and she wants so badly to do the right thing. After waiting at the shelter for quite some time, Nala finally found a home — only to be returned recently due to her adopter experiencing serious health issues. Through no fault of her own, she’s back, confused and waiting again.Nala has already survived more than any dog should have to. What she needs now is stability, patience, and someone who will see past her muscles to the soft heart underneath. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion and can offer her a pet-free home, Nala is ready to love you with her whole big body and even bigger heart. 🐾More information? Story
Emerging from the depths of her enchanted kiddie pool, Vada the Troll Queen is here to claim your backyard, your hose, and your heart. This mischievous little gremlin is equal parts sass, splash, and snuggle (on her terms, of course). She’s a one-of-a-kind, hose-chasing, Kong-chomping legend—and she’s looking for a loyal human to serve as her humble subject.Vada’s ideal kingdom includes: • A hose with good water pressure (the royal fountain, obviously) • A steady supply of Kongs (the sacred treasure of her people) • Zero other dogs (she’s a solo troll, thank you very much) • Cats who know their place (bow or be batted at) • Minimal manfolk (she finds them suspicious)She may be wary of strange humans (especially tall, loud ones), but once you’re accepted into her inner swamp circle, Vada is fiercely loyal and surprisingly sweet. She’ll keep your yard safe from rogue sprinklers, overconfident squirrels, and any unauthorized lawn gnomes.Vada is not here to win “Miss Congeniality.” She’s here to rule, splash, and chew rubbery things until they squeak no more. If you’re looking for a gentle, dainty flower—keep walking. But if you’re ready to bow before the chaos goblin queen and laugh every day at her swampy shenanigans, your highness awaits.Long live Vada. Bring snacks.More information?
