Story
Smokey is a sweetie. She’s very food motivated but not at all food aggressive. She loves any food you’ll give her, except peanut butter flavored treats. She loves peanut butter though.  Speaking of food, she is the most regular dog I’ve ever known when it comes to going potty. A couple minutes after she eats she’s ready to go at the door. She doesn’t like the rain but is fine in the snow. She’s definitely a princess.  She has this ripped apart old duck stuffed animal (sans stuffing) that she loves. She loves her naps, especially on the couch.  She’s awesome with our toddler. He hugs on her all the time. The one day I also caught him putting wood boards on her & started climbing on the boards…she just laid there!  She gets spurts of energy which is really cute to see in an older dog. She still likes to play!

Story
Goose is an incredibly sweet boy with a lot of energy. He would do best in a home where he can have lots of room to run and outside time. Goose can get a little bit anxious and antsy without stimulation. He gets nervous around other dogs and is okay with children if he is told "be gentle". Goose's former owner said that he is friendly and playful with cats, so if you have an outgoing, unafraid cat it should be fine, but if you own a timid cat, it might not be the best match. Goose has been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and has tested neg. for heartworm which is included in the adoption fee. If you would like to adopt this dog, you must come into the shelter for a meet and greet. We are open 12-4. (Closed Mondays & Wednesdays)

If you would like to adopt this dog, you must come into the shelter for a meet and greet. We are open 12-4. (Closed Mondays & Wednesdays)

Plex is potty and crate trained loves to play and run. He is a big sweet heart never had any aggressive behavior. He spends most his time as a single indoor dog the summer is when he spends his time outside. He has interacted with other dogs and seemed to connect with them just fine. It hurts my heart to rehome plex but my babies are allergic and I can’t give plex the attention he used to get. Plex is a big sweet heart and loves to be cuddled up and he deserves the best.

From Rufus' foster mom - "We rescued Rufus from Cleveland Kennel a few months ago. He was hit by a car and a nice lady called the dog warden because she heard him crying in the woods for 2 days. He had a fracture his left hip (which we surgically repaired) and a broken right leg that healed with a cast and crate rest. After recovering for 3 months he is ready for a home. He is housebroken, crate trained, lives with other dogs and cats. Loves them. He is a little shy when you first meet him, but give him a treat and a ball and he's ur new friend. Knows sit and shake. Meet sweet Honey. If this girl could tell us her story we would all be in tears by the end. She was brought in as a stray and had a significant facial injury that required immediate vet care and months of follow up. She had lots of stitches and staples put in her mouth and jaw. We assume she was struck by a vehicle or dumped out of a moving vehicle. She has recently been cleared for adoption and is ready to find her very own couch to cuddle up on. All of her staples and stitches have been removed. Honey is around 3 years old and is spayed with a one year current rabis vaccine, was heartworm negative and negative for lymes disease. She loves to go on big walks and play with all the toys. Her favorite is snuggling up in a big blanket on the couch. Honey is that perfect companion who would love to be right by your side. She has done well with our office cat at our shelter, but has been picky with dogs she likes and does not like. A meet and greet would help to see if she would fit in with any current dogs in the house. Honey is such a sweet loving and adorable pittie who is ready to make leaps and bounds when she finds her home. Her adoption fee is 52 dollars.
