My adoption fee has been fully sponsored. Adopt me and pay $0.00!!!Hi there! My name is Lincoln. I am an affectionate, playful and gentle fella. I enjoy going for walks and eating yummy treats. My previous owners mentioned that I was friendly with people, used to being around children, housetrained and good for car rides. I have not done well around dogs and cats in my previous home so I am looking for a furever home where I can be the only pet. I can`t wait to meet you and become your best pal :) Please ask the front desk if you have any more questions about me.

My adoption fee has been fully sponsored. Adopt me and pay $0.00!!!Hi There! Benny Boy is a playful, large boy who has had sleepeovers where he played with toys, was comfortable in the home, loved his couch and being handled. Knows sit, responsive on the leash, enjoys a great roll in the grass. A chill friendly guy who would love a home where he`s treated like one of the family. He has been at OCAS for 100 days or more. Please consider taking a second look at this wonderful boy. Staff has noted that while here, he have been friendly towards new people, appear to be housetrained, and have done with with medical exams. Staff still recommends slow and monitored introductions to any new people and animals in the homeINSIGHTS FROM MY DOG DAY OUT SLEEPOVER:`Benny Boy came over for a sleepover and he was a very good boy. He was respectful in the home. No jumping, counter surfing or trying to take food. I actually ate near him several times and he just laid next to me without even begging. He can be a little particular about treats, mostly preferring chicken and other meat treats. He can hold a sit and be patient. We took him on several walks. He is quite strong and does pull at times, but after the first walk he did start to calm down and pull less. He is kinda funny when riding in the car. He likes to sit or stand on the floor and look backwards instead of forwards. He did do well when meeting my dog, picking up on her cues when she didn’t want to play anymore. He really likes hugs and cuddles. He found a whale toy that he played with for hours. He had some difficulty with resting in the crate at

My adoption fee has been fully sponsored. Adopt me and pay $0.00!!!I`m a sweet boy and I need a loving home! I came to the shelter when my previous owner could no longer care for me. When I first got to the shelter I was very scared, skinny, and did not trust the staff here. I have warmed up a lot over the last few weeks and am now looking for a good home to spend my golden years in. One of our volunteers said I am a very sweet older boy who is good on a leash and loves treats. I can have lots of energy, and be curious about the world. I love long walks where 80% of the walks consist of sniffs. I am super smart and knows sit and shake/paw. Staff and volunteers have recently discovered that I am not comfortable with male humans and prefer females. I am still learning but would benefit from patience as because of my shy behavior at the shelter I demonstrated coming in. Treats are helping earn my trust and please try not to touch near my head. Please don`t overlook me because I have some extra years on me! I still have a lot of love to give!

Hi! My name is Boy. I came into the shelter after my previous owner was no longer able to care for me. I am a friendly, curious and energetic fella. I enjoy long walk and I would love to learn new tricks for yummy treats! It is unknown how I am with other animals so staff recommends slow and monitored introductions. Please ask staff if you have any questions about me. I hope to meet you! :)INSIGHTS FROM MY CARETAKERS:`Boyd has the holiday spirit and is ready to find his home for the holidays! Don`t let his kennel energy fool you, he is a complete dream dog with good boy manners. He is very smart and treat motivated. He knows sit, is learning wait and stay, and responds very well to his name and commands. Check him out on a recent Saturday in the play yard showing off the skills he learned in less than 15 minutes. He is cuddly, goofy, sweet and loves to play. He is curious, easily redirected, takes treats gently and loves to lean in for scratches and pets. This is a fantastic dog who deserves a chance. Come meet him and be the lucky forever family who gets to love this sweet guy.``Boyd was excited when we picked him up at the shelter, and totally loved going on a 4-mile hike at Carolina North Forest. He has a lot of energy and was strong for the whole hike, trotting and sniffing along the side of the trail. He did pull on the leash quite a bit because he liked going at his own pace and had a lot of energy to burn off. More practice should help with that. Boyd was friendly, cheerful, and playful. He sat nicely for treats and especially loved his pup cup after the hike. I sat with him in the backseat on the way back to the shelter and he just wanted to give kisses and snuggle up. I

Hi there! I am an energetic, food motivated and curious fella. I came to the shelter after my previous owners could no longer care for me. I was very nervous when I first got the shelter but with patience and lots of yummy treats, I have warmed up. Understandably, I can still be nervous when initially meeting new people, so please go slow with me. I would do best in a home without young children or small animals as I have high prey drive and can be startled by quick movements. I am overall a very sweet dog and I will make a wonderful addition to the right home! Please ask staff if you have any more questions about me.My adventure buddy has wonderful things to say about me:`Spot is such a sweetheart. He was so happy to be taken out for the day. He was practically wagging his whole body when he saw me and gleefully ran to my car and hopped right in the backseat. We went for a hike. He’s very energetic and will need some leash training, as many of these pups do, but he’s very responsive to his name and awfully treat motivated. He didn’t show any signs of aggression when passing other dogs on the trail. He has the most beautiful, captivating blue eyes. He’s goofy and lovable. If you want a lot of kisses and a great hiking partner, he’s the guy for you!`
