Story
Ducky is the happiest boy, always eager to make new friends anywhere he goes! This boy has an ambiguous past, having showed up on someones porch as a stray in January 2024. Ducky is on his way to mastering the art of potty training. Currently, he is comfortable in his crate as it is where he sleeps, eats, and spends his unsupervised time. Ducky is a curious, fearless boy who just wants to run and play in the yard, house, and is a cheerful boy on his walks. He walks very well on a leash and is on his way to being quite the Velcro dog. His ideal family would enjoy an active lifestyle and bring him on adventures! His foster family consists of two dogs, two cats, and two adult humans. He loves all of them dearly, although he is still learning to respect the boundaries of the cats. We would recommend Duckys forever home be cat-free. While Ducky does get along with his foster dog siblings and loves other dogs when properly introduced, he would do best in a pet-free home where he can be your one and only! His foster siblings are very submissive, so he could potentially be in a home with one other very submissive, female dog. He has not been tested with children or livestock. Because Ducky can be mouthy, we believe his best home would not have young children. Ducky would likely be fine with older children/teens (10+). Ducky does not have a high prey drive and has low reactivity when it comes to animals and strangers inside and outside of the home. He has a loud bark, so may not be suitable for apartment living. He uses his voice most when asking his foster siblings to play, or when his foster humans are leaving the house. Ducky has an incredibly sweet disposition and his favorite things to do include playing with a flirt pole in the yard, chasing balls, playing tug-o-war with his foster siblings, chewing on Benebones, and going for walks! Oh and eating food! Being a pup who is still learning to control his impulses, Ducky explores the world with his mouth. He can be quite mouthy, though this is a behavior he is learning to control! Ducky is eager to please and very intelligent! He is actively mastering sit, lie down, leave it, drop, and come. He continues to learn commands that help him develop structure and impulse control as well. At the end of the day, Ducky would do best in a home with experienced dog owners who could cultivate a safe, structured environment for him. His ideal family would be able to provide Ducky with consistent, gentle training in a way that best advocates for him, encouraging him to blossom into the best friend he wants to be!

Story
Luna is an approximately 9 month old young dog/puppy. Unfortunately, due to changes with our family circumstance and work, we just do not have the time to give her the attention that she deserves. She is pretty much fully crate trained and does great in the crate. She will also go into her crate when told. She is mostly house trained. Still has the occasional accident, but she is good about giving you notice that she needs go out. She will usually grab her leash and/or walk to the door to let you know she needs to go. She loves to snuggle. She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date with vaccines. She has been through a puppy training class and knows sit, down, and “pound it” for shake. She is still very young with lots of energy. She needs someone who can spend lots of time with her and help her get lots of exercise.

Story
I am trying to help my elderly neighbor find a new home for his 4-year-old American Pittbull. He is 77 years old, and his wife is 78 and uses a walker, so they can no longer walk and provide an active lifestyle for their dog, Stormy. Stormy is well-behaved, and we are willing to give a few private dog training sessions offered by Puppy Prep By Steele for future owners to help with the transition. Stormy is spayed and fully vaccinated, and we can provide all her records.

Story
I adopted Brody from Angels of Assisi about 5 years ago; he's an incredibly sweet pitbull/boxer mix with no known health issues. He tends to ignore other dogs and focus on human attention. He's incredibly cuddly, and will whine if he can't lay next/on top of you while you're on the couch. He's comfortable riding in the car and knows how to wait for food, sit, and lay down. Unfortunately, he has to be in his crate constantly due to my schedule since entering grad school. I think he'll be happier with someone who can give him more attention and outdoor time. He's very athletic and would be a great fit for someone with an active lifestyle or a large backyard. If adopted, I will include all of Brody's items. This includes: -a large crate -a no-pull walking vest -dog food -water and food bowl -nail grinder -clothes (costumes, jackets) -heartworm preventative
