Story
I found her and her brother on the side of the road as puppies (a few months old) and took them in. I've been caring for them but unfortunately due to some recent medical and financial issues and difficulties I can no longer care for them. I am also moving back to Puerto Rico due to these issues to be with family and can't afford to take them with me or care for them there. I want them to have a good home, they are very sweet dogs. Macy has gained weight since these photos and is doing much better. She saw the vet and got all her shots on 10/27 at the mobile vet clinic. She is also learning to be leash trained.

Story
Eros was rescued from the Wake County Animal Shelter. He likes to eat, chill in the sun, play with his toys and chew in his bone, sleep, & play with other dogs. Although he gets along with other dogs, he plays too rough for some people’s liking so will do better in a home where he is the only dog & can be spoiled. He is potty-trained and will let you know when he has to go again. He is crate-trained and doesn’t cry when you put him in there. Also he is microchipped. He knows how to sit, spin in both directions, jump, give paw, “go to bed” to go inside crate, & currently working on lay down, hence why he LOVES treats. He is very loving, affectionate, and likes to be pet/scratched and likes to be near you so he is very loyal to his owner/owners. I really would like him to be rehomed to a loving individual, couple, or family that can give him the time, love, and care that he deserves as he’s a really good boy & anyone would be happy and lucky to have him as their companion! 💜

Story
Django, a 75lb Pitbull, is 9 years old and displays no behavioral issues. He is well-versed in house training and has received training classes at PetSmart since he was a puppy. Known for his calm demeanor, affectionate nature, and excellent compatibility with kids and other dogs, Django readily welcomes children of all ages and enjoys being in the company of people. He is up to date with all his vaccinations, and his complete medical records and history are accessible at Banfield. As I navigate the complexities of an ongoing high-conflict custody and divorce case, along with the mental strain it entails, I find myself unable to continue caring for this animal. My daily struggles have reached a point where I cannot bear the additional burden on my own well-being. Moreover, impending relocation necessitates parting ways with this pet. Each passing day, the stress intensifies, and I urgently need to have this animal relocated to restore peace and facilitate my progress moving forward.

Story
Tucker is a five-year-old, 65-pound adult lab/pitbull mix, full of affection and “good boy” energy. His foster mom has nothing but good things to say about him! He's a quick learner who already knows some basic commands; and he's learned some important skills like leash walking. He loves playing rope-tug or ball- and disc-fetch (well, he’s 98% on “chase” and maybe 80% on “bring it”). He’s completely house- and crate-trained; he often rests in his open crate. Tucker has a gentle and loyal nature; and he's smart, independent, and playful. He loves to be included in the family and sit on the couch with you, but he's also content to make his own bed and snuggle up with his favorite blankets. If he wants to get closer, he will sit on your arm or chest, butt-first. If he wants to sleep, he will rest his face against your leg or poke his head behind your back. He loves ear rubs and back scritches! If you're looking for a furry friend who will bring laughter and joy into your life, look no further than Tucker. He's an all-around good boy who's just waiting for his forever home. Are you interested in adopting this dog or another JCAPL pet you have seen? JoJo is the sweetest girl who is two years young! She came to our rescue group with a litter of puppies; now they have all been adopted, and it is her turn to find a great forever home. She's energetic, playful, and loves to show her affection. She loves her daily walks; she does a happy dance, rushes to the door, and sits for her leash. JoJo loves her humans and gets along well with other dogs. She is looking for a forever home where she can be the center of attention and receive all the love she deserves. Story
Hello, my name is Lucy. I love going for walks, playing with my foster brother, and running around the backyard. I also like cuddles on the couch with my humans. When people are sad and anxious, I like to put my head on their lap and let them know everything is going to be okay. I’m a very good girl and I try to avoid jumping on people. Something I don’t like is being left alone at home. It makes me nervous, and I tend to find stuff to tear up to help with my anxiety. My foster parents don’t know my whole background, but they have a few guesses as to what happened to me by some of my behavior. Like I’m more afraid of women then men. When women raise their voice, I tend to cower. I get scared of rainstorms and thunderstorms, and I don’t like to go outside when it is raining. Loud sudden noises make me jump, and I want to hide or cuddle with someone. I am now crate trained, and for a small treat I'm fine to go into my crate and settle down. I also sleep in my crate at night. It’s actually pretty comfortable since my foster mom put thick blankets and pillows in there for me. When my foster parents have to leave me at home, they put me in my crate. It helps with my anxiety and keeps the stuffed animals and books safe. I am really hoping to find my furever family. I’m good with cats and kittens and I’m also good with other dogs, although sometimes I forget that the senior dog can’t play like the rest of us. I’m also good with people I don’t know and kids I don’t know too. It would be great if I could find a family that could use an emotional support animal. I promise I will always be there for you with cuddles and love. Hope to meet you soon! Are you interested in adopting this dog or another JCAPL pet you have seen?
