Delightful ray of sunshine, tiny and fun-sized, friend to all.Would you look at this fun-sized little peanut! We can't get over how amazing this dog is, nor how tiny he is for a blocky-headed dog. Absolute squee, he's the very bestest and we're all so smitten. Gerbil is right around a year old and a mere 30lbs, he's got a sweet and easy going demeanor with a little bit of puppy silliness with his dog buddies. He goes to daycare daily with his foster and has so many dog friends, he's thoroughly unfazed by nonsense and adjusts his play style to whoever he's hanging out with. He's gone to a couple of events at breweries and he gets an A+ for brewery dog skills, he just hangs out and makes friends with everyone he meets. Gerbil would love to find an adopter with dog friends, but he could do the single life as long as he gets to go see some dog buddies from time to time. We think he'd get along with a cat, but he may expect kitty to play rowdy with him so you decide if your cat wants to put up with young dog shenanigans. Kids? Oh heckins yes, but he is a small guy, so well-behaved kids who will be mindful where he is would be best. This guy is a star everywhere he goes and we'd love to match him with someone who knows how to treat their dog like he hung the moon. Is that you? Visit southofthebully.com and apply to adopt Gerbil. Our adoption fee is $300. This covers spay/neuter, microchip, microchip registration, all age appropriate vaccines, and any needed vet care. To begin the adoption process, please fill out the SOTB Adoption Application completely. Once your application has been submitted, our Adoptions Team will be in contact shortly to set up a phone interview and a home visit. Are you looking for a dog who will gaze lovingly at you no matter how many days it's been since you've had a shower? Would you love a dog who listens with the most adoring stare no matter how hideous your singing is? Do you need a cartoon-y little pot roast of a dog who thinks you hung the moon no matter how bad your day has gone? Wanna spend your days with a dog who's a little bit shy, a little bit awkward and kind of a homebody? Fam, we got you! This is Dumpling, he's a kind and lovely soul with the sweetest smile and the best antenna ears. He's around 3 years old and 45 lbs, he's not seen a whole lot of the world, but he's having a really nice time with his foster going on adventure walks. Dumpling is the kind of guy who prefers quiet walks in the woods to rowdy dog bars or brewery trivia nights. He can fake it well enough, but really, he's the guy who brings a book to a party and likes to hang on the edges of chaos. He's just not a crowd kinda guy and we totally get that! That's not to say Dumpling isn't social, he loves his people and he gets along beautifully with his two foster sister dogs at home, he's just a humble guy who doesn't want to be the center of attention.  Dumpling is looking for a family who leans more towards the quiet life. He likes neighborhood walks and trips to Lowe's, he's housebroken, crate trained and non-destructive in the home, mostly he wants to follow you around and be with you. Kinda perfect, really. He's lovely with kids, though he does prefer them to be more on the easy going side, as one would expect. Dumpling is just a good little dude looking for a compatible family to call his own. Does this sweet, endearing, slightly awkward little guy speak to your soul? We'd love to set you two up for a happily ever after, head over to southofthebully.com and fill out an application today. Our adoption fee is $300. Story
Hunter is a gentle 60-pound Pitbull mix with a heart of gold. This strong boy, about a year old, was found running loose on the back roads of Tennessee, but despite his tough start, he's in great shape with a silky black coat. While no one has come forward to claim him, Hunter is patiently waiting for a loving family to call his own! Hunter enjoys his daily walks and is working on not pulling on the leash. ‍&#226&#153&#130&#239&#184&#143 He’s curious, playful, and loves other dogs! He’s been sharing a pen with a Boxer, though we feed him separately to avoid any food aggression. Hunter does the cutest little dance when it’s time for his meals or walks—it’s sure to put a smile on your face! While he hasn’t been tested with cats or kids yet, Hunter did have a run-in with a neighbor’s chicken , so he might be best suited to a home without small livestock. Critter Cavalry Rescue is a Middle Tennessee-based 501(c)(3) that travels to the Northeast states weekly, helping high-risk homeless animals like Hunter find their forever homes. For more info on our mission, adoption fees, and drop-off points, visit us at CritterCavalry.com! &#226&#156&#168 Are you ready to give this playful boy a chance at a new beginning? &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 Email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com to request an adoption application.  PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.November 5, 2024, 1:27 pm

Story
Meet Tica, a stunning 4-year-old Blue Tri XL Bully with a heart as big as her warm personality! This gentle, 50-pound Pitbull mix has a charming, submissive nature and gets along wonderfully with other dogs and children. While we haven’t seen her around cats, Tica’s calm demeanor suggests she could adjust well with a proper introduction. Tica’s journey to us was a tough one. She was found abandoned and tied to a parked vehicle with a horse lead, without food, water, or shelter. By the time our Animal Control Officer arrived, the lead had tightened painfully around her neck, leaving a fluid-filled knot. Fortunately, her previous owner surrendered her to avoid cruelty charges, and Tica is now safe with Critter Cavalry Animal Rescue. Due to family connections of her former owner, Tica needs a loving forever home outside of her previous home area.  This way  she can enjoy a peaceful, fresh start. Despite her difficult past, Tica’s resilient spirit and gentle heart shine through and she’s ready to bring boundless love and loyalty to her new family. As a Middle Tennessee-based 501(c)(3) animal rescue, Critter Cavalry’s mission is to save high-risk animals like Tica and find them homes throughout Tennessee and the northeastern U.S. We travel north each week, bringing these wonderful pets closer to a new life. For more information about adopting Tica or to learn about our rescue, visit www.CritterCavalry.com or email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com. Tica’s waiting for the love and kindness she has never known but certainly deserves—could you be her new family? PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.November 11, 2024, 7:28 pm

Story
I fostered Pele from a rescue. She and my dog got along so well that I decided to adopt her for him! Unfortunately, there was an incident with one of my cats and I need to rehome her for the safety of my other cats. Pele loves humans and lives for attention. If you're looking for a pup who wants to be with you as much as she can, Pele is for you. Even though she only has 3 legs, she is still very active. She loves to go for walks and can go for shorter runs. She and her canine brother love to chase each other around the yard and wrestle together in the house. She also loves lying next to her human. She gets along with a lot of dogs but can be selective. Because of the incident with my cat, she should not be around cats. She loves children but she is a little awkward with just the one front leg so she should be watched around small children. She is up to date on her vaccines and has an appointment for her annual heartworm test and injection on March 4.

She is around 2 years old, potty trained, crate trained, and has great manners! After a fun play session outside, she loves to come snuggle up with you. If you’re looking for a dog that will light up when you come home, do zoomies around your yard, and take naps on your lap while you watch Bridgerton, look no further. He will be seven years old on December 3rd, 2024. He is very high energy, and house-broken. Good with people and kids, but jealous when it comes to other animals. He does live with other dogs and gets along well with them, but he prefers all the attention. Best if he is the only pet in home. Doesn’t bite and not aggressive, but does jump, a lot. He is a very sweet boy and loves to cuddle. When you receive him, you will get his collar, vest, and leash along with him. Needs a bigger house and a place to run and release his energy.

Story
Everyone knows pittie mixes take longer to find their forever home. Let’s not make that the case with Duncan! Duncan spent 6 weeks at our local Animal Control before his fosters picked him to take home. His personality is still emerging but so far we know he loves playing with his rope, chewing on a bone, & playing fetch in the yard. You should see his little hops! Duncan is such a great boy inside the house too. He will curl up in a ball and sleep while his fosters eat dinner or do everyday activities. He is also used to being crated 8-5 while his fosters are at work. He’s housebroken! Though he’s not currently fostered with other dogs, he is dog friendly and loves a good game of chase. He could use some work with leash manners so a yard is a plus. He’s neutered, microchipped, UTD on vaccines & prevention. Interested in meeting this big boy? Fill out an application on our website.

These pups are in Charlotte, North Carolina too!

Story
Herbie is a lovable 70-pound Boxer mix with a heart full of gold. About a year old, he was found wandering the back roads of Tennessee without a collar or microchip, battling a tough case of mange. While no one has come forward to claim him, Herbie is now looking for his forever family! His skin is healing beautifully, and his sweet, curious nature shines through more each day. ‍&#226&#153&#130&#239&#184&#143 Herbie enjoys his daily walks and is getting better at leash manners. He’s also learning to curb his excitement when greeting people! He’s great with other dogs and, after playtime, is happy to sit quietly by your side. He hasn’t been tested with cats or kids yet, but we think his gentle personality would be a great match for the right home! Story
This very special purebred English bulldog girl is called Natasha she's a fabulous representation of the English bulldog breed. Found is a stray at a construction side in a very rural county of Tennessee, this girl immediately captured the hearts of those that saw her tied up with just a bag of food sitting next to her. She is 8 to 10 years of age and we're thinking more eight rather than 10. Weighing in at 42 lb she's the perfect size and she does have sometimes a little slow gait and glucosamine with chondroitin and some joint meds definitely are in order at this stage of her middle-aged life. Her foster mom had never been around a English bulldog and was very curious as to how much she would learn about the breed by fostering. She was so pleasantly surprised and has enjoyed this delightful, happy, casually easy going, mellow girl. She is housebroken she is crate trained she is great with young children, a potbelly pig, a donkey, some horses, cats and dogs alike. There is no living thing that breathes that she doesn't like and will try to get to know. You hardly know she's around because she's so quiet and just so  tranquil and peaceful.  Natasha may be a little on the older side than you might think of adopting, but you need to trust us when we say she will be one of the best dogs you've ever had cross the threshold of your home and heart.  She brightens everyone's day and loves her way deep into your soul so quickly. We love Natasha and you will too. Give her a chance to prove to you that you made the best dog rescue decision ever. Contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com If you are interested. Please tell us what city and state you live in. She is in Tennessee and we transport to the Northeast for adoptions as well as adopting in the Middle Tennessee area   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comNovember 7, 2024, 10:11 pm
