Shiloh was rescued from a local shelter. She was extremely shy when we pulled her from the shelter and still can be shy when meeting new people or doing new things. She is most comfortable when she knows her surroundings. She is good with calmer, quieter kids and other dogs. She does not tolerate cats. Shiloh loves to cuddle and she's a great kisser! She will do best in a quiet structured environment. Since she doesn't like change, she never has tried to run away! A great dog for someone that works at home and is a couch potato! LOOKING FOR ADOPTION: Khan is a 1 y/o American pitbull terrier (neutered; born 1/1/2025). He is an extremely sweet dog, and craves human affection. He enjoys walks and goofing around with other dogs, as well as belly-rubs. He is also a big cuddler. Since a young puppy, Khan has received professional obedience training, and was fully house trained from pretty early on. He is up to date on necessary vet recommendations, and is a healthy, athletic dog. The perfect home for Khan would be one that has the time to play with him (i.e. field, dog park) most every day without any stress on one's schedule. I am entering a work situation where I will be unable to care for him as much as he needs, and there are additional family matters that will consume a majority of my free-time. This canine would thrive in a household without young children and requires an owner who can provide patience and support to foster self-confidence.Initially, she was received as a stray, presenting with severe malnutrition. Currently, she is fed puppy food 3-4 times daily and has completed deworming treatment for intestinal parasites. Although initially shy, she warms up quickly, especially when offered treats, and becomes a devoted companion. Our staff and volunteers have observed her gentle nature and have been working to enhance her self-confidence through exposure and socialization. She demonstrates appreciation for comforts such as soft blankets and enrichment activities. Adoption hours are Monday-Friday 11:00-3:30 & Saturday 8:00-11:30. These puppies were surrendered by their owner and appear to have had limited human interaction, exhibiting fear of human hands and unfamiliarity with walking on grass. Although they are making progress and emerging from their shells, they require a patient home environment that will allow them to acclimate, build confidence, and receive exposure to new experiences. While Sugar has become more receptive to new individuals, Cali and Blanca require more time to warm up. Our shelter staff and volunteers have been working diligently with these puppies to alleviate their fears and teach them how to interact as typical puppies. Adoption hours are Monday through Friday from 11:00 to 3:30 and Saturday from 8:00 to 11:30. If you have older children or other dogs in your household, meet-and-greets are mandatory. Additionally, please verify that your rental property does not have breed restrictions prior to adoption.
