Story
You’d never know that Chyna is our senior pup in the rescue (11-12 yrs old) – she is still likes to play and but she is pretty low maintenance and is mellow and content lounging around – the best of both worlds.  Chyna’s BIGGEST requirement is she needs to be the only pet in the house – no other dogs or cats.  She has been back with us for over a year now and we really want her to find a home to call her own.  Currently in a VA foster home, she loves to be with people and snuggle and she deserves a perfect family and home to call her own! Our animals are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, de-wormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heart-worm tested, and treated if necessary.  Vet references and a home/family visit are required, and an adoption fee applies.  Transport options are available within our area of operation, including Pennsylvania, the tri-state area, and New England. Please note we do not adopt animals into Canada. Story
It's hard to believe that Eli has been in foster in the rescue for OVER A YEAR! Yep, Eli came to us July of 2023, as a 6 month old pup from GA. He had mange, but quickly recovered to make him the handsome brindle he is now. Literally growing up in rescue, he is now about 1 ½ yr old, neutered, fully vetted and micro-chipped. He is a good boy and knows his basics – sit, off, leave it and paw. He listens, wants attention and to play. Eli is good with dogs and kids and is an active boy who loves to play and bounce around. He can have a little bit of stranger danger, but when we are all he knows and he has been with us this long, you can't blame him. All of our animals are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, de-wormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heart-worm tested, and treated if necessary.  Vet references and a home/family visit are required, and an adoption fee applies.  Transport options are available within our area of operation, including Pennsylvania, the tri-state area, and New England. Story
Hammy is now 1 year old, and still with us =( waiting for his big break - a family of his own This adorable marble swirl boy is currently in an upstate NY foster home, he loves to play with the resident dogs and doesn’t bother the resident kitty.  He loves kids as well (5+ in his foster household) and can still be a little bouncy when excited – as he’s still learning.  He is great in his crate and is crate & potty-trained, already vetted and will be a fun playmate for a lucky family - he is an overall happy, silly pup! Story
Miss Rosie - Miss because every proper southern gal has Miss in front of her name - Rosie because her skin shows pink in the sun! Rosie is shy but warms up to people quickly. She has allergies that will require maintenance. She very sweet and playful but above all wiggly. Rosie is jumpy with sudden movements and not very sure of new situations and dogs. Because of that she will need very slow introductions if there are other dogs in the home. She is housebroken has good house manners ,crate trained, walk good on a leash, knows sit, come, stay and paw/shake. She loves loves to snuggle. Rosie is currently in a ME foster home and under 2 years old All of our animals are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, de-wormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heart-worm tested, and treated if necessary.  Vet references and a home/family visit are required, and an adoption fee applies.  Transport options are available within our area of operation, including Pennsylvania, the tri-state area, and New England. Story
Max and "brother" Bear are a bonded pair. Max was originally adopted from PMAR as a puppy, but when the owner contacted us about returning him due to illness and no longer being able to care for him, they asked if we could also take Bear. We said, yes, because we knew Max was losing the only home he had ever known, so we didn't want him to lose his brother, too. Bear is a little more reserved than Max (who is very outgoing and friendly), but they truly love each other and we want to keep them together. We would like to find them a home with a nice fenced-in yard where they could run and play. Bear is oblivious to cats, but Max is a bit reactive, so a kitty-free home would be best. They seem to get along with other dogs. Both pups are strong and need work on leash manners. They are neutered up-to-date and ready for a home to call their own!
