Story
Meet Sundance! Sundance is a happy mix breed pup that is approximately a year old. He recently came to us as an unclaimed stray. Sundance is extremely friendly. He absolutely loves everyone he meets. Sundance has met other dogs here at LHS and has done well with them. Sundance will need an active owner because he is a very energetic boy. He will need work on leash walking and basic commands. His new owner will need the time, energy and patience to dedicate to him. Sundance would love to have another dog or children to play with. A fenced yard would be ideal for him. If you would like to give Sundance the life he deserves, please fill out our online application or stop in during open hours , Wednesdays 6-8pm & Saturdays 12-3pm

Story
Meet Charlotte! This stunning beaut is about as sweet and amazing as they come. Charlotte and her sister (maybe?) Valerie were found wandering together this past fall and were at the local DCO until recently. Charlotte is around two years old and weighs between 70-75 pounds. She does currently have an eye condition that is going to be corrected with surgery but she may need long term eye drops. Charlotte is super smart and loving with a fantastic disposition. Charlotte is a girl who’s up for anything, snuggles-YES, a nice walk-YEPPER, some fun zooming time-SURE THING. While we are willing to adopt them separately to be the queens of their own home, Charlotte and Valerie are very fond of each other and if someone if willing to adopt them both, a discount would be given. If you are interested in meeting Charlotte and/or Valerie, please stop in during open hours Wednesday 6-8pm or Saturday 12-3pm. You may also fill out our online application

Shes’s pretty, she’s loveable and she’s ready to meet her furever family. Meet Valerie. Valerie and her sister-friend Charlotte were found wandering this past fall and have been with the local DCO til recently when they came to us. She is incredibly sweet and smart and when the mood suits her, sounds as if she’s purring. Story
Meet Coco, a coco-brown female Pitbull who we believe is about 4 years of age. She is fully vaccinated, up to date on shots, and spayed. We found her in an abandoned building with her litter of pups. Coco is extremely well behaved in public settings, loves to go on car rides, plays well with other doggies and has occasional bursts of energy. She must have an owner who likes to cuddle and go on daily walks. Coco is not friendly with cats, and can not live with a cat or other small pet. Coco is a Courtesy Listing. Just what is a Courtesy Listing? It is a list of dogs, that through no fault of their own are looking for a new home. NCCR has agreed to post these dogs until a home is found. Any adoption and rehoming fee will be arranged through the dog’s caregiver. If you are interested in Coco just complete the application below the photo. The application will be forwarded to her caregiver where applications are reviewed and contact made to the interested parties. Please review the description to be sure you and the dog would be a good match. An application can be found at caninerescue.org.

Story
Meet Bella! A ~7 year old female Chocolate Pit who is fully vaccinated and up to date on shots, and spayed. Bella is full of energy, she loves meeting new people, going on long walks and a bone before bed. Bella’s forever home must have ample space to play in, an owner who will take her on daily walks, and a comfy bed in her crate! She does not like cats, and can not live in a home with one. She is friendly with humans of all ages and loves a good belly rub and rides well in the car! Bella was a companion to a special needs yellow-lab who unfortunately passed away in September and would love a new friend to do life with. If you think you might be interested in Bella, send in your application! Bella is a Courtesy Listing. Just what is a Courtesy Listing? Story
Otis is such a sweet, energetic boy. We originally adopted him from the Buffalo Animal Shelter. We loved how happy and playful he was. Otis needs daily exercise, and loves to run. We have to find him a better suited home where he can thrive with a family that will love him for the lively boy he is. He does have separation issues, so does have to be in a crate when alone for an extended period of time.

Story
Isabella was left behind in a yard after her previous owners were evicted from their home. Despite being left behind she is such a sweet, happy girl that has nothing but love to give. She is also a big goofball who loves to have fun. She does great with other dogs and loves all humans. She does well in a crate and is potty trained. This perfect girl doesn’t deserve to spend her days in a kennel. Please consider giving her the home she deserves!

Story
Brenda and her brother Norbert were found together in a crate outside of an abandoned house. Despite being failed by humans, these two have so much love to give. Brenda is about 2-3 years old, potty and crate trained. She also is the blanket queen and there doesn’t seem to be a blanket that she does not love. Brenda does need some time to warm up to new people but can you really blame her after all she’s been through?! She is not the biggest fan of other dogs and would prefer to just hang out with her brother. Brenda and Norbert would love a quiet home where they can finally relax and a family who won’t give up on them. If you think you could be that home please reach out to us!
