Story
Hello! My name is Isabella, but you can call me Izzy! I would do good in a home that has a nice comfy couch as I love to cuddle with my humans! That being said, I like the attention all to myself so I would prefer my home to have no other dog friends. I am a very smart girl that knows just the way to melt your heart with my cute face and adorable puppy dog eyes.

Story
Harlow is so sweet, ready to please and really down for any adventure. Whether sitting at home, going out to get ice cream, or going to the park, she is happy to do it all! She also loves a car ride and is an absolute angel in it. She is extremely house trained and also does really well in her crate. She loves treats, enjoys being petted and wags her tail happily everywhere she goes. Although she gets along with well with everyone, she does not like to share her chew bone so a family without young children would be best. Harlow is up to date on all of her shots, she is spayed and is also microchipped. Medically, she has an alopecic mass on her hind leg. If you're looking for a really sweet and gentle dog that will love you unconditionally, Harlow would be the perfect match for you! Story
Hello! They call me Queen, but I`m really not as bossy as my name indicates. I`m an adorable (almost) 4 year old pittie type, weighing in around 55 pounds. Yes, I’ve been at the shelter before. Someone adopted me, but they ended up having a heart condition and couldn’t take care of me anymore. Bummer! I learned a lot in that home though, so I’m hopeful it will help find me a new home soon! I`m a goofy, quirky gal who will make you laugh for sure! For the most part, I am equally happy to go for walks, play and sniff outside, or snuggle up to you! If you like to play, I`ll grab a toy and make silly noises while I show it to you by shoving it all over your body. If you`re not into games, that`s ok too, I`m pretty happy just sniffing around or sitting next to you in the sun. Some people say I`m kind of clumsy and giggle when I trip over things because I`m so focused on sniffing or chasing my toy. I don`t really get what is so funny but, whatever, I`m happy if you`re happy! Other dogs can make me feel nervous and I don`t really want them near me, so I’d be happiest being the only dog in my home (Queen of my castle, if you will). I`m perfectly happy without doggy buds, to be honest. I once tried living in home with a cat and it was really fun to chase, but the human and cat didn`t appreciate that, so I’m thinking maybe I shouldn’t live with a cat. Honestly, I`m a pretty chill dog once you get to know me. I`m thinking that if I can get a little consistency in my life, I`ll be quite the happy family member! If you`ve always dreamed of rescuing a dog and you`re willing to learn alongside me, head to the shelter during open hours for the chance to meet me! You can also call or email ahead, if you`d like to learn more about me before you come. (607)257-1822 x221 adoptions@spcaonline.com (adoptions category: Purple)

Story
Hello! I’m Xena (49 pounds). Let’s go for a walk and get to know each other; I can show you all the best spots to sniff and tastiest bits of grass to snack on. I was adopted from the SPCA as a puppy, but my humans had some complicated life problems crop up and they couldn`t care for me anymore. It was pretty scary to come back to the shelter, since I liked my quiet life with my humans, but I’m making a bunch of new friends now. I’m used to being home alone for the workday and hanging out in my crate. Cuddling my friends, playing fetch or tug of war, and getting a full-body scratch are some of my favorite things. I’m also a big fan of running laps in the yard, so I’d be delighted if my new home has a fenced yard. If you want to meet me, stop by the shelter during walk in hours 12-4:30 Tuesday-Sunday (extended hours 12-6:30 on Thursdays). (Adoption Category: Purple)

Story
Hi there, they call me Silly Goose, and I think that`s pretty fitting! I was found tied to a tree with two other dogs. I am now the longest standing dog at the shelter, but I don`t get why! I love to sit in laps, play, both independantly or with friends and go for walks. Ok, some people say I`m a little too strong for them on leash. I guess I could see where that would be hard for some people. Maybe you have really strong arms or a fenced yard to help out with that? I can be a little bossy with other dogs but I do ok with some if the humans know how to help us get to know each other. To be honest, I think I am enough to keep anyone happy, even without another dog. If you ask me, I would make a pretty good new family member; if you don`t mind a 52 pound dog trying to climb in your lap! Stop by the shelter during open hours if you`d like to meet me, Silly Goose! I`m dying to find my new home soon! Tuesday-Sunday 12-4:30 PM (Thursdays until 6:30 PM) adoptions@spcaonline.com (607) 257-1822 x221 (adoptions category: green)

Story
Meet Quinn, a super friendly gal waiting for her fur-ever home. At 82 pounds, Quinn`s body is struggling a bit. She is hoping someone can (gently) help her get down to a healthier weight. Of course, she`s cute the way she is, but her joints and organs would feel better if she could slim down. Other than her round shape, Quinn is healthy and ready to find her new family! If you`d like to meet this wiggly wonder, stop by the shelter during open hours and ask to meet her! We think she would make a great addition to almost any home! Story
This dog is a courtesy listing (not in the AARF program) but we will be reviewing applications and helping the owner find the right home for BINGO. Please visit http://aarf-tn.com/adopt/adoption-app/ to apply. His adoption is FREE to approved home. Looking for a loyal companion? Meet Bingo! This 2-year-old mix of American Pit Bull Terrier, Australian Cattle Dog, and American Staffordshire Terrier will win your heart with his devotion and playful nature. Weighing in at 40 pounds, Bingo is a medium-sized bundle of joy who loves nothing more than to play fetch and chew on his beloved stuffed toys and Nylabones. Bingo's unique charm shines through in his quirky habits. He absolutely adores ice cubes and will eagerly run to the fridge with you for a treat. He also has a soft spot for pup cups from Starbucks. Despite being mostly deaf, Bingo is a smart cookie and responds well to hand commands like place, sit, down, and stay. He's a graduate of The Dog Wizard of Knoxville, and his training can continue with his new family. Bingo is fully potty trained and will ring bells hanging on the door to let you know when he needs to go out. He's also crate trained, making bedtime and alone time a breeze. Although he enjoys the company of his person, he can be a bit anxious around sudden movements due to his hearing loss. Bingo thrives in a one-person household where he can be the star of the show. If you're ready for a sweet, smart, and devoted companion who will bring joy and excitement into your life, Bingo is the perfect match for you. Give this lovable pup a forever home where he can truly shine!    Interested in adopting?
