Story
You’d never know that Chyna is our senior pup in the rescue (11-12 yrs old) – she is still likes to play and but she is pretty low maintenance and is mellow and content lounging around – the best of both worlds.  Chyna’s BIGGEST requirement is she needs to be the only pet in the house – no other dogs or cats.  She has been back with us for over a year now and we really want her to find a home to call her own.  Currently in a VA foster home, she loves to be with people and snuggle and she deserves a perfect family and home to call her own! Our animals are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, de-wormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heart-worm tested, and treated if necessary.  Vet references and a home/family visit are required, and an adoption fee applies.  Transport options are available within our area of operation, including Pennsylvania, the tri-state area, and New England. Please note we do not adopt animals into Canada. Visit www.pmarinc.org for more information, and to fill out an application. All of our animals are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heartworm tested and treated if necessary. Story
Hammy is now just over 1.5 years old. He's had a few applications, but they all fell through no fault of his own! This adorable brindle boy is currently in an upstate NY foster home. He loves to play with the resident dogs and doesn’t bother the resident kitty. He also loves kids (5+ in his foster household) and can be a bit bouncy when excited—as he’s still a young boy. Hammy is an overall happy, perfect, silly pup. He is great in his crate, crate- and potty-trained, and already vetted. He will be a fun playmate for a lucky family—please help us find his family! Story
Currently in a foster home in Maine, Rosie is around 3 years old and has been with us almost 1 ½ years waiting for her perfect forever family. She is great with people and can get a little excited, which could get smaller kiddos knocked down, so teens would be best.  She is very sweet and playful, and above all, wiggly! Rosie is good with other dogs with proper slow introductions, but no kitties or small animals.  She does have some allergies which require special food and medication, which is common with white dogs.  She is housebroken, walks well on leash, crate trained and knows all her basics like sit, come, stay, and paw/shake.  Rosie even has good house manners and absolutely loves to snuggle. All of our animals are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, de-wormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heart-worm tested, and treated if necessary.  Vet references and a home/family visit are required, and an adoption fee applies.  Transport options are available within our area of operation, including Pennsylvania, the tri-state area, and New England. Story
Max and "brother" Bear are a bonded pair. Max was originally adopted from PMAR as a puppy, but when the owner contacted us about returning him due to illness and no longer being able to care for him, they asked if we could also take Bear. We said, yes, because we knew Max was losing the only home he had ever known, so we didn't want him to lose his brother, too. Bear is a little more reserved than Max (who is very outgoing and friendly), but they truly love each other and we want to keep them together. We would like to find them a home with a nice fenced-in yard where they could run and play. Bear is oblivious to cats, but Max is a bit reactive, so a kitty-free home would be best. They seem to get along with other dogs. Both pups are strong and need work on leash manners. They are neutered up-to-date and ready for a home to call their own! Story
Stella has a good enough reason to frown – even though a foster family is good and all, at the time of this posting she has been with us 1,268 days. That’s 3 YEARS, 5 months and 20 days. She deserves a warm bed and a doting family – like all of our pups do. She is just over 9 years old now, after coming back to the rescue since May of 2020. She was adopted as a pup and returned due to a change in living conditions. She is a shy girl and prefers to be the one and only in the home. Stella is a smart girl – commands include No (her least favorite), wait, place, down, sit, off and come. She loves the outdoors and to go on walks, she walks well on leash too. We would love nothing more but for her to find a home for the holidays and not spend a 4th holiday season in foster. Draco's got the skills, the looks, and the personality - now he just needs someone to appreciate him. What's missing? A forever home, that's what.

Frostine was pulled from Kentucky. She did not handle a shelter environment and became very depressed and withdrawn. In a foster home though, she has blossomed. She had done with all dogs, big and small! She is house broken and loves to cuddle with her people. She likes to curl up on the back of the sofa or chair and snooze.

Story
Unfortunately due to my lack of knowledge in training a dog, Atlas has a few aggressive tendencies and anxiety. For these reasons, he would need someone who is dominant toawrds him. He has food/toy aggression, and crate aggression. He would thrive being the only animal in the house. No cats or dogs and no children for safety. He is a good boy, just with the adult he loves. I have to stop being so selfish about him and not giving him a chance for something better, just because I love him so much and want him to stay in our family. Atlas is a total mamas boy, he is the BEST snuggler! He absolutely loves blankets, he has 4 blankets on his bed right now that he cuddles under. He makes the craziest noises which make us all laugh. Loves giving and receiving kisses. His favorite is to sleep in bed with everyone and be a huge bed hog. His favorite thing is to be outside in the backyard playing with his rope and tire swing! On top of it all he is so stinkin’ cute!
