Mia was left with me from a past relationship. It is not easy for me to rehome her, she is so sweet and I feel terrible her sole owner did not take her with when they left but Mia deserves a home that can satisfy her needs - between working long days preparing for school and living in an apartment, I am looking to give Mia a better life. Mia is 7 years old, but she is so high energy you would never have guessed. In a new home we are looking for a family who has time to spend with Mia because she loves walks, cuddles on the couch/bed and attention. Preferably a 2 or more person house hold. Mia has a sassy little personality and does well with other dogs. She establishes her boundaries but never takes it too far. Having a brother or sister may help her stay entertained. Her pet sitter has described her as: Mia is energetic and loves love ! She cuddles you and is excited to go where you’re headed ! She is amazing and great around other dogs.

A19873 Luna is a brown and white, 9-year-old, 60-pound, spayed female, Labrador Pitbull mix. She was surrendered by her owner for not getting along with other dogs. Luna has been in foster care with a volunteer and we a great update on her behavior. Her foster mom says the following about Luna: Luna is absolutely a joy to handle and play with. Although she is technically a senior dog, she is full of energy and loves her walks/ adventures, errands to the garden center, or a simple car ride through the drive-thru. She loves her car rides and will gladly join you wherever you go. She settles down easily once home and is a very quiet girl (rarely if ever barks when indoors). She loves meeting new people, big or small. She is quite the loving girl. She has no food aggression (small or big hands are welcome in her food bowl) She is very easy to give medication or supplements (currently taking joint supplements), no fuss at all. She is fully potty trained and will whine when she is ready to be let out. She is not fond of bath time or nail trimmings but we're working on it. She is very easy to leash and walk. She loves long albeit slow walks, enjoys people watching, and sniffing everything. In terms of other dog/ animal reactivity: She does whine when she sees or hears a dog, slightly pulling towards them. At this time we're working on her staying fully calm. On the other hand, we have gone on walks with neighbors with dogs (you'll see a picture of a small neighbor dog), as long as she's on a walk and her energy is mostly drained she can be very calm, so this is a big step in the right direction to keeping her calm around other dogs.

She entered the shelter as a stray on 10-22-2024 and was spayed and had a dental cleaning by our medical staff. Darcy is a friendly, easy to handle girl here in the shelter. Our staff says she is a sweet girl that loves affection and being loved on. She was easy to leash, had a soft pull in excitement to be out of the kennel and exploring, but very easy to walk. She loves people and is treat motivated, and knows how to 'sit' on command. She has no interest in other dogs here at the shelter. Darcy will be a loving, loyal companion in her new forever home. Darcy is available for field trips and foster to adopt for up to 30 days.

She entered the shelter as an owner surrender on 12-09-2024 due to the fact they were moving and couldn’t bring dogs. She came in with Kreed. Sheba is a friendly, eager, easy to handle girl here in the shelter. Our staff says she is really friendly and happy to see you approach her kennel, giving you an excited tail wag. She was easy to leash and well behaved during our walks. She has had some training and will “sit” upon command. She has no interest in other dogs here at the shelter. The previous owner says she is house broken, used a doggy door and she has lived with other dogs, and cats, but not children. Sheba will be a loving, loyal family member in her new forever home. Sheba has chronic skin allergies that seem to be worse here at the shelter causing her to become quite itchy. She requires weekly baths and has been on steroids for her condition. She may need further care that is beyond that of which the shelter can provide. Please consider saving Miss Sheba, so she can get her allergies better controlled with regular primary veterinary care.

DUCKY IS in FOSTER NEAR HESPERIA CA She is a very sweet WHITE Boxer girl who weighs about 40-45 pounds. We rescued her from a high kill shelter, where she came in as a stray and soon gave birth to a litter of adorable brindle & fawn puppies. DUCKY is good with the Aussies in her foster home and has been great with other little dogs and with cats, rides great in a car and although very playful, she is gentle and well behaved. Ducky had a rough go of it having her babies in a cold shelter and she is a little thin and weary, eating plenty of good food and gaining needed weight. Pups have been weaned, are fat and healthy and have been adopted. Mommy is so so so sweet and gentle and would make an awesome pet to anyone. Her blankets are neat and clean and she is not destructive. Enjoys walking on leash and adores company and attention.
