Story
Carousel's DOB is 08/12/2015 and she's a white and black Pit Bull Terrier. Carousel was adopted from the Haven as a puppy. She and that family had a wonderful bond. It is through no fault of her own that she is back at the sanctuary and looking for another home. She has been around children ages three and up and done well with them. She should not live with cats because she plays too rough around them, and she should meet any new dogs before going home with them. No chickens please! She is house trained and likes to sleep on couches. Her favorite toys are plastic bottles, stuffed animals, inflatable beach balls, and large sticks. The smaller the dog, the more Carousel likes it! Carousel does have allergies so will require specific care. All of our pets are fixed, up to date on their vaccinations, and microchipped. The Haven of the Ozarks is open from 9am-4pm, seven days a week. For more information, please email us at havenozarksanctuary@gmail.com, or give us a call at 417-835-3647.

Story
Jello is a beautiful red female Pitbull Terrier and her estimated DOB is 04/02/2017. She was brought to us when she was going to be put down at another shelter. While at a foster home recently, it was reported back that she is shy but incredibly loyal. She very quickly became a velcro dog seeking out love and affection and returning it tenfold. She did well in her crate and slept quietly through the night. She has great house skills, is gentle even when playing and loves her bed. She does have energy so would do great with a family that will take her for walks or spend time playing with her each day. Jello is sweet to all people but is not a big fan of small animals. She can absolutely get along with other dogs with a proper introduction, but she may need to have her own little space where she can get away from the other dogs of her household where she can eat and play with her toys in peace! All of our pets are fixed, up to date on their vaccinations, and microchipped. The Haven of the Ozarks is open form 9am-4pm, seven days a week. For more information, please email us at havenozarksanctuary@gmail.com, or give us a call at 417-835-3647.

Story
Spotacus' estimated DOB is 05/12/2017 and he's a white Pit Bull Terrier. He came to us from the Monett Pound, His previous life kept him living outside on a chain, but this big energetic boy deserves so much better than that! He has been rotated as an office dog and does very well. He gets along great with the other dogs with a proper introduction, and is house trained, though he may need a couple reminders in a new home. His size is large but that doesn't mean he doesn't enjoy his cuddle time. Spotacus is often found greeting everyone he can and he just loves to be pet! In a short trial adoption, it was revealed that he was gentle with the family's chihuahuas, though the chihuahuas didn't like him back. Unfortunately, he does not do well with cats. All of our pets are fixed, up to date on their vaccinations, and microchipped. The Haven of the Ozarks is open form 9am-4pm, seven days a week. For more information, please email us at havenozarksanctuary@gmail.com, or give us a call at 417-835-3647.

Story
Boulder's DOB is 03/18/2019 and he's a black Pit Bull Terrier/Boxer mix with a white #7 on his chest. Boulder (known in his last home as Bobo) is a sweet dog who is still unsure and a little skittish as he adjusts to shelter life. His previous home was unable to afford the medical attention he needed when he arrived here. According to his previous owner, Boulder is a very loyal inside dog who enjoys sleeping on the bed with his people, as well as going out for car rides and hunting trips. He is already housetrained, and while he has been growly toward other dogs, the home did have several cats that he loved to play with. According to his previous home, Boulder loves to cuddle up, especially in someone's beard. They also said (and we can definitely attest to this) that his favorite thing in the world is squeaky toys. Boulder is afraid of water, and is also scared of thunderstorms. He can also be very easy to sneak up on, since he can't see out of his left eye. We think the ideal home for Boulder would be a farm, or a home with a large yard he can play in, or at the very least a home that can take him on adventures with them. He may seem reserved, but he really relaxes the minute he gets out of his shelter pen. We truly think he'd make a loyal, happy house pet! His Estimated D.O.B. is 03/18/2019. All of our pets are fixed, up to date on their vaccinations, and microchipped. The Haven of the Ozarks is open form 9am-4pm, seven days a week. Story
CJ is a gorgeous grey and white pit bull terrier with beautiful eyes. His estimated DOB is 5/10/2020. He is a BIG and STRONG boy. He's 69 pounds of pure muscle. He came into our shelter very scared, but it didn't take long for him to warm up to us. He is a dog that would be best suited for someone who can provide or is willing to get him the training he needs. We do not recommend CJ to be in a home with children, cats or other dogs. His last home was a one dog only family. He has lots of energy and loves attention, and his favorite game is tug-of-war! All our pets are fixed, up to date on their vaccinations, and microchipped. The Haven of the Ozarks is open from 9am-4pm, seven days a week. For more information, please email us at havenozarksanctuary@gmail.com, or give us a call at 417-835-3647.
