Say hello to April! April is a 2.5 year-old Staffordshire Terrier mix and 62 lbs of pure energy and affection. Just look at that smile!April might take a bit of time to gain confidence around new people, but once she does she will be your best friend forever! She understands that her calling in life is to act as her human’s shadow and will go the extra mile in order to not miss out on any action happening at home. She is truly made to be your best friend.April is house trained. It is likely that April used to spend most of her time outdoors, so she may need a bit of guidance as to where the appropriate place to go potty is. She has caught on quickly in her foster home, no accidents! April is also crate trained. She does well in her crate at night and while home alone. Overall, she is the coziest pup who loves fireplaces, heat vents, cozy blankets, cuddling with her humans.While April prefers to see her humans throughout the day, she does well when left home alone and has not been known to vocalize or be destructive. She requires a medium level of activity and is content with a daily walk and plenty of stuffed toys to play with! April is a curious girl who would love to have a fenced yard to sniff around in but it is not required.April has had a difficult journey before coming into our rescue, and now April would do better in a no-dog home. She still does not really know how to interact with other dogs, and on our walks she needs to steer away from other furry friends. She also cannot live with cats.When April is feeling playful, her energy can be very high! Her play style is all in good fun but this may overwhelm young children as she can get a bit mouthy. She would do best in a household with children 13 years and older.April is ready to meet her forever home! King is a wonderful big boy, unfortunately he thought my grandson was attacking him and king bit him, so we need to rehome this boy, up until then King is protective of him family, and loves generously, he loves playing with his stuffies, and laying in the sun and running in the snow. King listens to commands and loves treats and bones a little too much. He would be a great fit for someone that has a love for pits and has time for showing him love and going for walks. He would be great for a single person or couple. Just with an older family he would work best with. King is good with other big dogs to play with. FYI -We did test king and he is a pure bread.

Her adopter was told she was fully vetted and low and behold a few weeks later out popped puppies. He and his siblings were split between us and another local MN rescue. They love other dogs and are around young children. All dogs and puppies require supervision and training. Hi, my name is Huxley! I arrived in Minnesota in October 2024. I am a very sweet boy who loves to give kisses. I am timid around new people, but once I get to know you, I want to be best friends. I absolutely love other dogs and would love to have a dog brother or sister to play with! I have not been around cats for extended periods of time, but I really wasn't a fan. I am not a big fan of young children running as that scares me quite a bit, so I bark at them which scares both of us, so older children in the home may be a better fit. I love sleeping in my foster mom’s bed at night; she gets a pillow and I get my own! I do a pretty good job of going to the bathroom outside, but if my foster parents are at work and I have to go while I’m in my kennel, I will do that. I always have to go to the bathroom immediately after I wake up, as well as after every meal. My foster mom has me on a potty schedule, and I won’t have accidents in the house if the schedule is followed. I am an energetic boy who would benefit from a family who likes being active! My foster mom and I walk 2.5 miles about 4 times per week. I am a good walker on the leash most of the time, but if a dog is barking at me, sometimes I want to see what the noise is about! In between those walks, I play in the yard with my foster siblings! I love eating sticks and grass, so my foster mom has to supervise me. I am good in my kennel; as soon as my foster mom opens the treat jar, I will run to my crate so I can eat my treat! I love food and am a proud member of the clean plate club! I also love treats and bones! I am scared to get in the car, but if a dog friend gets in first, I will follow! However, if I’m going somewhere alone, my foster mom has to lift me in the car (all 60 pounds of me!) Once I am in the car, I am quiet and take a nap most of the time.
