Story
Lloyd is an older gentleman seeking a retirement home who wants a well-mannered guy who is past the puppy stages. He is estimated to be about 8 years old. He is the typical pittie who loves all people and does the happiest backend booty dance for butt scratches. Lloyd loves to go on walks, play with his toys and be around his human. Age: 8 years Breed: Pitbull/mix  Weight: ~65lbs Kid-friendly: He's a big boy so we  recommend older kiddos! Dogs: Yes, likes to go off and do his own thing though, sniff trees and walk around. Cats: No, he does have prey drive. Crate trained: Yes!  Loves to sleep by his human family though. Potty trained: Yes Health concerns: He does require Thyroid medication daily. Current medications & estimated costs: ~$25 every 2 months Adoption fee: $275 As a rescue, we provide the care, procedures and testing that is available to us. Adopters will be responsible for continued preventatives, follow-up appointments, and medications (if applicable). At times, adopters will be responsible for procedures not completed in rescue (dentals, bloodwork, etc.)  Your new dog will receive their rabies and distemper vaccine.  $50 discount for seniors (65+) and veterans. Adoption fees help pay for the dog's veterinary exam, vaccinations (rabies and distemper) HW test and spay/neuter if needed and additional health needs specific to each animal.   Grey Face Rescue does not adopt outside of Minnesota for now. We apologize for the inconvenience.  We do not adopt animals to families whose current pets are not up-to-date on vaccinations or not altered. Exceptions may be made for medical reasons as stated by a veterinarian and we will require proof of that recommendation. Thank you for understanding our mission to reduce overpopulation.  Once you submit your application, our adoption manager will be in touch, so please check your spam folder if you do not see something from us within 7-10 days.  Thank you again for your interest in a Grey Face senior. We appreciate your support!   November 4, 2024, 7:47 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Halo is a tender-hearted 9-month-old mixed breed with the sweetest eyes that tell a story of resilience. Life hasn’t always been kind to him, and as a result, Halo can be a little shy and nervous around new people and situations. Sudden movements, loud noises, and unfamiliar surroundings can make him feel uneasy, but beneath his timid exterior is a heart full of love waiting to bloom. Once Halo feels safe, his true personality shines through. He’s incredibly affectionate and loves nothing more than curling up beside his trusted humans for quiet moments of connection. He has a soft spot for gentle ear rubs and will happily follow you around the house, always seeking your company. Halo would benefit greatly from having another dog in the home to keep him company. A confident and friendly canine companion could help him feel more secure and show him the ropes, providing comfort and encouragement as he adjusts to his new life. Halo is looking for a calm and patient forever home, ideally with a family who understands that love takes time. He would thrive in a quiet environment with a predictable routine and a kind-hearted adopter who will give him the space and support he needs to build his confidence. With the right love and care, Halo promises to be your most loyal companion—a gentle, loving soul who will repay your kindness with endless devotion. Are you the one to show Halo the world isn’t such a scary place? Halo is from Texas.  If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Tobias Turnpike (aka Toby Toebeans) is as sweet as he's beefy. He's the perfect mix of cuddly, playful, and social. We believe he would make an excellent addition to any home that doesn't have a cat (since he has an intense allergy to them). True to his gentle nature, Toby lays down to get his nails trimmed, tolerates baths as long as treats are involved, and keeps his cool at the vet, even when he's being poked. While he's not a barker, he's still a great communicator. He will let you know when he needs to go potty or when he's hungry. He will grumble or come over to you and put his big paws on your lap and stare at you. When he's relaxed and enjoying snuggles, he grins, and if he wants more pets, he taps you with his paw. If you sit with Toby, he will sit beside you, rest his head on your chest, and snooze. Once he gets relaxed, he melts down to a puddle next to you. Tobias is a total cuddle bug. His favorite pastime is snuggling with his humans. We rate his cuddles A+!!  Check out this  video  of Tobias walking nicely on leash.     Tobias Turnpike is from a local shelter. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. I am loving being in my foster home and having friends to play with.  I can be shy at first but give me a few treats I warm up. I love hanging out under my foster mom’s desk as she works from home. I am also good in my kennel but I like to trick my foster mom that I will not go in but I always go in. I sleep in my kennel all night. I am potty trained. I would love a fenced yard since I love to run around and see what’s all outside. A friend that likes to run around and play chase would be amazing. I think I would be better with a friend. I don’t think cats would be good with me. I love to chill with my foster fur brothers and nap with them. If you would like to know more please fill out an application for me. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Levy is a sweet and loving pup who will steal your heart with her adorable, expressive ears and her eagerness to learn. She’s fully potty trained and does great in her crate, whether she’s taking a break or you’re away from home. Levy is full of curiosity and enjoys exploring her surroundings, solving puzzle games, and soaking up attention from her people. She’s food-motivated and a quick learner, which makes training a breeze. While she’s still working on being a little more gentle when she’s excited, she’s making great progress. Levy loves going on walks, meeting new people and dogs, and snuggling up with her family. She may bark briefly when you leave, but she quickly settles and naps in her crate. She’ll even rock a festive sweater, adding to her charm. If you’re looking for a loyal, fun, and affectionate companion, Levy might be your perfect match!  Levy is from a local impound.
