Story
"Hi Im Matilda. My foster mom calls me Tilly! Im a mix with ears for days! I cant tell you much about my history some nice ladies from Spots Last Stop came to bust a couple of other dogs out of the local pound. I was so adorable and sweet, they just couldnt leave me behind, so I was given the chance to leave the shelter and stay in a foster home until I find my forever home. Heres some things my new family should know about me: I sleep quietly in my kennel through the night and go in for periods during the day with no complaints. I am fully potty trained as long as I am given regular reminders to go outside. I love to wrestle and play with my foster dog brother. Once I get some play time, I settle down nicely and like to take a nap near myfoster mom while she works. I have already received lots of training while in rescue! In fact I was lucky to go to a special trainer to help me learn how to meet people and learn new skills. I know how to sit and am excited to learn more and do more training. I love treats and learn quickly! Im a little shy at first with new people, but I warm up quickly. I do best when people don't approach me immediately upon meeting me. I like to approach new people for affection after a few minutes of being aroundthem. I need an owner who will advocate for me and keep me safe. I love pets, belly rubs and snuggles. I also love kissing your face, but if you tell me not to, that's OK, too! I love going forwalks and am doing really well walking on a leash. I tend to be a home body- a fenced yard, a playful pup and a calm home is best for me. Although I am good with children I know, I do not feel great with all the coming and going, so no children please. I would love to have another playful dog in my forever home, but it's not essential, as long as my family is committed to keeping me socialized with other dogs. I am smart and willing to work hard and learn- I am loving and want to please my people. Im so happy to be out of the shelter, and cant wait to find my family! Let's meet and see how much we love each other! If you would like to meet Matilda, please visit www.spotsrescue.org and fill out an application.

Adoption Fee: $460 + taxes Location: Foster Home Aero is a lively, playful pup with plenty of personality and some seriously impressive moves! He's full of energy and absolutely loves going on walks, making him a great match for an active home. Aero's enthusiasm means he can get a little jumpy, so he'd do best with older kids who can match his playful spirit. He's fantastic with other dogs and would thrive in a home with canine companions. After a while doing slow introductions, he is a cat guy that would do well with a dog savvy cat. Aero is highly food-motivated and responds well to redirection, making him a quick learner and a GREAT snuggler!!! If you're ready to welcome a fun-loving, energetic companion into your life, Aero is the perfect match. Story
*Trace’s adoption fee has been sponsored thanks to a generous donor*Hi, my name is Trace! I have been told I am a sweet little lady who has stolen many hearts. I am named after the artful technique of tracing, and I bring a unique story waiting to unfold – a story of love, companionship, and the beauty of creating lasting connections. The beginning of my story is not what my friends would have wanted for me. But, the best of my story is yet to come!I came to Warrior Dog in August as an expectant momma. My 10 puppies were born via emergency c-section in mid-September. I have spent 8 weeks caring for and teaching my babies in the art of being good dogs. I keep hearing that I am an excellent teacher! Some things to know about me: - I am a gentle and affectionate soul- I love my people. With my history, I like to take some time to truly trust new humans. But, once I do, I will wiggle my way right into your heart. - I am told that I am a very smart girl who will definitely be a motivated learner.- I walk well on a leash- I learned to approach humans for affection. Before coming to MN, I never lived inside a home so I never had to share my space like that before. So it would be best if I was the only dog to get your love and attention. My humans can say for sure that I am house trained and kennel trained! My friends here say to know me is to love me. Are you ready to fall in love? I am ready and waiting to draw myself into your family portrait to make it complete!--------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spay/neuter before adoption unless age is a factor with a puppy younger than 6-12 months at the time of adoption. If that is the case, the spay/neuter will be covered in the adoption fee and the owner will be responsible to have the procedures completed at a Warrior Dog Rescue Veterinarian at the appropriate time. Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned. Their breed description is based on our very best educated guess based on physical characteristics and their dispositions. If they came to our rescue as an owner surrender, the breed description will be listed as provided by the previous owner.Adoption Fee - $0To apply for this pup, please submit an Adoption Application at http://warriordogrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application/

Story
Hi! My name is Felicity. I am a playful, spunky and snuggly puppy looking for my furever family.I currently live in a foster home with human parents and teenagers, as well as a pack of wonderful older dogs who have taught me the ropes! I have done well with the little kids I have met that are respectful of me.I go potty outside on a schedule and do well freely in the backyard. I also do well going potty on a leash. I am crate trained and sleep in my crate at night and when my foster family isn’t home. I go in happily with a treat and love my cozy bed. I love seeing humans in the mornings and greeting my dog friends when we get up for the day! Some of my favorite things to do include:-I love to jump up on the couch with my foster family and cuddle-I love treats and I am learning from the other dogs to sit and wait my turn.-I love to play with toys and go explore outside in the yard. I'm great at playing fetch!-I love playing with my pup friends. It’s so fun to run around the yard and play chase with them.I am one special pup looking for that special family to love! I am excited to meet you!Felicity is a little fighter who has been diagnosed with autoimmune disease called Canine dermatomyositis (DMS) which is an inherited disease that causes inflammation of the skin, muscles, and blood vessels in dogs. She deserves to find her family just like every other dog up for adoption in rescue. If you feel you can provide her with all that she needs, a lifetime of love and care, snuggles and commitment, please make sure to fill out an adoption application. --------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption. Story
A portion of Coco's adoption fee has been sponsored by her friends at The Murray Fund. The adoption fee sponsorship credit of $275.00 will be applied during the contract process Hi, my name is Coco! From the Foster: A typical day with Coco, I am home with Coco all day, with the exception of appointments, errands, etc. After nearly 2 years in our home, Coco has settled in and become a delightful companion dog. She gets along well with, and seems to take cues from, my black lab with a calm temperament. I have modified living arrangements such that the cats are kept separate from her- she seems to have high prey drive and due to limited vision perhaps cant really tell them apart from a squirrel. I had hoped after this long hearing and smelling them, and occasionally seeing them through the gate, she would have become accustomed to them, but alas she is just not a kitty dog. I keep Coco's medication pretty consistent, aiming for 12 hours apart. Coco and Lucy (my resident dog) both sleep on my bed all night. They don't get up until I do, and are great about going right outside and then in to eat and Coco has her oral meds, eye meds, and insulin. She is a champ taking her meds, doesn't resist at all. Throughout the day, Coco and Lucy go between my office and bedroom, taking long naps (they are 9 after all). Coco loves to race outside into the fenced yard with Lucy and search for real or imagined critters. The only thing that deters her is rain! A strange sound or presence will get her raising the alarm, but she settles down quickly and back to her sniffing and taking long luxurious naps in the sun. She may alarm due to her limited vision, but no significant limitations. Coco loves to be where I am, and would rather tag along in the car than be left behind, but thanks to occasional medication and my very mellow black lab, she is feeling more secure and safe as time goes on. She does fine out of the crate in the house, does not chew on unacceptable items, and can wait several hours to go outside. She has never had an accident indoors. Coco loves a long walk, especially a leisurely sniffari. Due to a lot of training, she is not nearly as concerned about other dogs out on walks as she used to be. I try not to get too close for comfort for her, and help her feel safe and confident. SHH can set an adopter up with ongoing training, too. She is pretty stressed, though, if she cant get out of perceived threat area, so instead of dog parks or busy recreation areas, we stick with the familiar neighborhood and a quiet regional nature park. Evenings are super-relaxed. Right after eating their dinner, both pups settle in for reading, watching a movie, or going to bed early. Coco loves to lay on the couch next to a warm body. She isn't a lap dog, not a hugger, but does love to snuggle. Through the course of my veterinary care at The Bond Between it was found that I have diabetes mellitus, hypothyroidism, and mature cataracts. Luckily, my foster and the doctors at The Bond Between and BluePearl took great care of me, and I am now ready to find my forever home! I had surgery for my cataracts, and I can see much better now. Future adopters should know that due to my multiple endocrine diseases, I will need to continue to work with a primary veterinarian, as well as an internal medicine specialist (I am currently under the care of Dr. Mazepa at BluePearl.) To manage my diabetes, my adopter will need to administer insulin everyday, as well as monitor my glucose levels with the guidance of a veterinarian. I am also on medication for my hypothyroidism. It is recommended that discuss with my future vet clinic about recommended follows ups and labwork (CBC, chemistry, UA, Fructosamine and T4).

Story
A portion of my adoption fee has been sponsored by my friends at Tito's Handmade Vodka. The adoption fee sponsorship credit of $375.00 will be applied during the contract process. Hi, my name is Rocket! I'm an owner surrender from Minnesota. From the foster: It's now been six months since we started fostering Rocket, and here at home we call her Mary Lou! She is doing amazing at learning and growing! She's been working hard, and it shows. She was off of the adoptable dog list during this time but she's come a long way and is now ready to find her loving forever home. Anxiety is still something she deals with, and may always deal with to a degree, but medications (both Rx and over the counter) are really helping her out. Slow introductions with people continue to be necessary although she relaxes much more quickly than she did when she first arrived at our home. It'll take some more time, but we think this won't always be an issue for her. (and see note about TBB offering training to help with this included as part of her adoption!) She is an energetic puppy and loves to play hard with her toys and run around the yard, and then she crashes just as hard for a nap. Her rumbly snores are so cute! The couch is her favorite spot for naps, and she sleeps in bed with us at night. She likes to lay back-to-back or spoon with you. Mary Lou loves to be close by and will follow you all over the house. Regarding playing, she has now mastered 'shake' and is almost there with 'drop it' when we throw her tennis balls. She also knows 'sit' and 'stay', and - depending on her mood - she comes when called. Treats are a big motivator for her. Because she likes to be around her people so much, she doesn't like to be left alone for too long. She is not destructive at all and she doesn't have accidents, she just gets lonely. Fortunately for flexible work schedules, Mary Lou hasn't been home alone for more than about a 5 hour stretch. Even when we just pop out for a quick errand she is thrilled when we return home. Things we continue to work on: * Meeting people. As I mentioned above, this is improving! And once she feels safe, she loves the attention and having more friends to play with. * She still doesn't do great on walks. We're working on it, and this is something the trainer can help with as well. * Mary Lou has not been introduced to cats or other dogs yet. We have lots of bunnies, squirrels, and chipmunks in our yard, and she doesn't chase them. She seems to have a low hunting drive. A few times we've seen her just stop and look at the baby bunnies with her tail wagging. I think that with the right introduction she would probably be ok (and would likely love) living with a cat. Dog introductions will take more work. Mary Lou requires a fenced yard and someone who will take the time to finish helping her feel safe, and show her how great life can be. She is uncomfortable around loud noise and would prefer a quieter home. Mary Lou will thrive being part of a family that isn't gone for long periods of time. At this point, continuing with her anxiety protocol is also necessary. It's possible with training and growing out of puppyhood that it won't always be part of her life. Sweet and silly, Mary Lou is an absolutely amazing dog and is 1000% worth the effort. Literally every day we say that we wish we could keep her as part of our family. If you are looking for a cuddly friend who will love you with her whole heart and will make you laugh multiple times a day, Mary Lou is the girl for you. * Are you thinking about putting in an application for me but you're seeing that I may need some help with training? Not to worry! My adoption comes with training support because The Bond Between wants to help me and my forever family. They know that some dogs need some extra support after adoption and they are all about setting me up for success. You can ask to speak to a trainer if you'd like more information about it. The trainer will tell you that I am worth it! *
