Max came to use in July 2023 when I worked at home full time and my husband had his own business and his schedule was flexible. I lost my job and my husband had to close his business after 30 years. We are out of the house for way to long now with our new jobs and Max is kenneled when we are gone. We did send him to training for 3 weeks last March and he did wonderful, but we don't have the time to keep up with the consistency he needs to thrive. Max needs an active home where he doesn't have to be kenneled for a whole work day. Our hearts are broken as he is a loving and funny character who wants to play and have his belly rubbed. He is great and jumping and catching his ball/toys in the air. I think if you had the time he would be great at doing agility training and competing. Max is about 1 1/2 years old and weighs in at 67lbs. He has been treated for allergies with medication.

Can you believe that no one came looking for me? Just look at my cute face!!! I know how to sit, down (lay), touch, shake, leave it, kennel and that the "uh-uh" sound means I'm doing something I probably shouldn't be. I'm working on learning how to play fetch and I love stuffies and my current favorites are bones and squeaky tennis balls. I go to my kennel for bedtime and when no one is home, and I hardly ever complain about it. I really enjoy walks and can go for multiple miles (weather permitting). I walk pretty well on leash as long as small animals like squirrels and rabbits don't cross our path, I just think they are so fun to chase! My foster home has a fenced yard and I love the freedom of running without being on a leash. I need regular exercise to burn off energy and keep me out of trouble! If I am able to burn some energy, I will gladly sleep with my head on your lap while you watch a movie. I would also do very well in an obedience class and would definitely benefit from one. I get very excited to meet new people but I don't trust their dogs and will bark to tell them to stay away. I used to share the house with a resident cat, we had met a few times but the cat didn't appreciate the energy I greeted her with and told me off with a swipe of the paw.. that doesn't deter my enthusiasm, so I may do better in a cat-free home. Because of my size and energy, I would do better in a home with older kids or adults, because my zoomies might knock over a small child. If you're looking for a buddy to sit out on the patio at your local brewery or meet ups at the dog park, we might not be a great match. However, if you want a walking buddy and can throw a ball around for me, I think we could be perfect together. Would you like to be my forever family? Charlie is a sweet girl. She was taken in after her previous owners had some concerns with her and their cats. She is currently living with a cat and 2 birds. As long as someone is around it's been great. Her and the cat just leave each other alone. The current owner is recently homeless. Charlie enjoys walks, playing with her balls, cuddling, and chilling with the kids. She has some separation anxiety, whines and such, but is not a destructive dog. She rarely barks. She can be skittish but warms up quickly.

Hi! My name is Dahlia, but my foster parents call me Dolly, Dolly Dingo, or Dolly Doobers.I’m a 2-5 yo Pit Bull and I'm really really cute. I'm a bit timid when I first meet people, but warm up quickly with a gentle, controlled approach. I love to give kisses, and may or may not slobber your face, arm, leg, ear, or whatever given part of you I can reach at the time.I can't tell you what my life was like before rescue, but I'm pretty sure I've had a lot of puppies. I was picked up by Animal Control while running free, and stayed there for a little over a month until I got out. I think I've had some really basic training, because I know how to sit at food time, but beyond that I need work on a leash and some improvement on my basic manners.I'm not tall, but my foster dad says I'm "A real thickums McGee" and I'm not really aware of how solid or heavy I am, so your personal space is at a definite risk with me around, I just want to be by people! I have to be in a home with no other dogs, as I get scared and defensive when they get close.I do well in a crate for the most part, although I may whine when I feel like I'm left alone in one. Because I'm a beefcake, I would also probably do best in a home without younger children due to my size but would likely love them.
