Story
Meet Jack, the Purrfect Playmate! Hey there! I'm Jack, a 2-year-old, neutered, and fully vaccinated good boy, ready to steal your heart. I'm a social butterfly who loves playing with other dogs and cuddling up with my human family. I'm a quick learner, already mastering the art of sitting and crate training. I'm a gentle giant who's great with kids and other dogs. I've even met a few cats and politely ignored them. I'm a sunshine lover, happiest when I'm lounging on the porch or frolicking in the grass. While I'm still working on my leash walking skills, I'm eager to learn and can't wait to explore the world by your side. Are you ready to add a furry friend to your family? I'm ready to be yours! Alton's adoption fee is $400. plus MN tax which covers his neuter, vaccines, microchip and any additional medical care he may have needed while in the rescue's care. We are a foster based rescue, we do not house dogs at a facility. Age and breed are NLR's best guess as we often don't know who or what mom and dad are. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website. www.northernlakesrescue.org

Rooster: A Loving Giant with a Heart for his Humans! Meet Rooster, a 2-year-old pit rottie mix who's bursting with personality and love. This big boy, weighing in at a hefty 70 pounds, is a total sweetheart. Rooster is a happy-go-lucky dog with a hilarious sense of humor and a deep affection for his humans. One of Rooster's most endearing traits is his love for cuddles. He's always eager to snuggle up with his favorite people, whether it's on the couch or in bed. He's also well-behaved and crate-trained, making him a great addition to any household. While Rooster may be cautious with some new people at first, he quickly warms up and makes friends forever. He's an amazing companion for kids and adults alike and gets along wonderfully with cats and other dogs. Rooster would thrive in a family with kids and a large fenced yard where he can play and run with his canine siblings. Despite his impressive size, Rooster is a gentle giant with a submissive nature. He's always eager to please his humans and is quick to apologize if he's done something wrong. Rooster's loving heart and playful spirit make him a beloved member of the rescue community and a volunteer favorite. If you're looking for a loyal, affectionate, and fun-loving companion, Rooster is the perfect dog for you. He's a big boy with an even bigger heart, and he's ready to fill your life with love and laughter. Story
Timon is a lovable 2-year-old GSD/Pit Mix who is ready to find his forever home. This sweet boy was showing signs of resource guarding, and a history of being under socialized and not neutered. But with patience and care, Timon has made incredible progress! After spending some time in a loving foster home to decompress and undergo neutering, Timon has blossomed into a friendly, well-adjusted pup. He now lives happily with 7 foster dogs and 2 cats, getting along beautifully with everyone and showing no signs of aggression. While Timon can take a little time to warm up to new people-understandable given his past-he's a loyal and affectionate companion once he feels comfortable. Timon is crate trained, house trained (although he might do a little happy tinkle when excited), and he rarely barks. He's a calm, quiet presence in the home who loves being around his pack. Timon would thrive in a patient home where he can continue building trust and enjoying all the love he deserves. If you're looking for a sweet, loyal companion who will appreciate your patience and kindness, Timon may be the perfect fit for you!
