Story
Pit Bull Terrier Mix, female, ~2 years old, 64 lbs. River is a one of a kind looking dog and has a one of a kind personality to go along with her looks. She is a sweet, loving gal that loves her tummy rubs! Incidental radiographic finding during routine educational radiographs (x-rays) discovered a nonclinical injury to River’s right shoulder. Images revealed arthritic changes and bone remodeling with metallic fragments present to her right shoulder. This discovery is likely from a previous traumatic incident. Therapeutic recommendations target holistic joint support through traditional (dietary supplements, nutraceuticals, anti-inflammatory medications, etc.) and alternative (herbal medicine, laser therapy, acupuncture, etc.) modalities. She is currently being successfully managed with monthly Librela (monoclonal antibody injection) and bi-weekly laser therapy. River has such a positive attitude and does not skip a beat physically or behaviorally. She is an amazing gal! Before adoption, all dogs are spayed or neutered, Heartworm tested and on preventative, vaccinated for Rabies, Distemper, Bordetella (kennel cough), and are microchipped. The adoption fee is $120 For more information about this dog or for an adoption application, please contact Amy at ridgewaterpawsandclaws@gmail.com

Story
Just look at how adorable she is! Meet our cutie patootie River! River is a 2yr old pitbull mix. She came to us from Ridgewater college after working with the vet tech girls so she is used to tons of people and loves everyone! This little lady is adorable with her toys, always likes to be carrying one around with her. River was in a play group at the college with another dog and did wonderful, she just isn`t very good at sharing her toys with other dogs. She met some kids around 4yrs old and up and did amazing! River would prefer a home without cats. She is an absolute lover too and walks well on leash! Adoption fee is $200 plus tax. Find us on Facebook to be updated on events and shelter news! All animals up for adoption at the Hawk Creek Animal Shelter are spayed/neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested negative (if age appropriate), up to date on vaccinations (a booster may be needed), given flea and tick preventative, given heartworm preventative, dewormed, and treated for anything necessary: such as dental cleanings, ear infections, etc. Please visit our website for prices and more information about our hours. No pre-applications are accepted, please come to the shelter with your family with no appointment needed. If you have another dog, we’d like an appointment to do a meet and greet with your other dog. We can cat test here at the shelter. If you have questions, please email or call us and we’ll answer your questions the best we can. Potty training is not guaranteed nor implied. Story
Location: Spirit Lake, IA I am Salem the Great, I am a sweet boy that will melt your heart. The heart print in his tiny nose and coat says it all. I loves my back scratches; I love to cuddle on the couch with my foster mom. I give the best puppy kisses and absolutely love to run with the big dogs. I am working sit, come and working really hard at potty training. I get really excited at times and pee, but I'm still as baby and still have things to learn. I do well in my kennel but will cry at first at night because I miss the snuggles, I do well in my kennel at night and when my foster mom goes to work, and get really excited when she gets home and I can run in the back yard with my foster brother Diesel. I am learning to walk with a leash, so I will be the perfect walking buddy. I am excited to meet you and find my furrrrever home. ------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Story
Location: Elk River, MN Meet Precious, the ultimate snuggle expert! With her adorably wrinkly skin and a heart full of love, Precious is happiest when she's lounging around the house, soaking up all the affection she can get. Kennels and the great outdoors? Not her thing. Precious is a brilliant escape artist who can disassemble a kennel door in no time, so she needs a bit of extra security to keep her safe. Precious is a one-dog show, preferring to be the center of attention and the sole recipient of all the spoiling. She's a bit wary of other dogs but absolutely adores kids, making her the perfect family companion. All Precious wants is to be a cherished house dog, surrounded by her favorite people and plenty of cozy spots to snuggle up in. ----- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Story
Location: Mankato, MN Are you looking for your very own Golden Girl? If you threw a party and invited everyone you knew, the biggest gift would be from Eleanor. Eleanor is as sassy as Sophia, as quick to love as Blanche, as independent as Dorthy, and as goofy as Rose. She loves short walks and long naps. She turns in for the night and takes her beauty rest very seriously. She would love to meet you at midnight for cheesecake, but we are working on her glow-up and shedding some excess weight she came into the rescue with. We are also working on trusting hard floors, she strongly prefers to stick to carpeted areas only. Eleanor is fully house broken and does fine left unattended in the home for short periods of time. She loves hosting guests and making new friends of all sorts. She has shown nothing but an abundance of patience for all the little humans that want to love on her all day. ___________________________ The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org).
