Story
Hi I’m Anne and I'm 4 years old! My family says I am the sweetest girl :)  My favorite thing is to curl up in a cozy spot (preferably somebody’s bed) and take a nap. I also like to play with my toys, but I have to be careful because I have a heart condition and if I play too hard or get too excited, it causes me to have seizure-like episodes.  I’m super sweet and gentle. I do well in and out of my crate and have only had a few accidents. I love meeting new people, but I’m not sure how I feel about other dogs. I get overly excited when I see them and sometimes I bark, but I have not met any since being with my new foster family. I also love riding in the car! I like staring out the window, and then when I am bored of that, I like to curl up in the back seat and take a nap. I know my basic commands, but my family says I’m stubborn because I don’t always like to listen. They also say I’m being dramatic when I give them my pouty eyes. I do okay on walks, but I need to use a harness since I do like to wander and explore and of course if I see a squirrel, rabbit, or another dog, I want to get a closer look!  I would do best with someone who likes to lay around with me and understands my physical limitations. Due to my heart condition, it is hard to predict exactly how much time I have left, but I hope to find someone who is willing to love me and help me live my best life anyway! Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Rabies vaccine, DAPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX , flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $ donation of your choice Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 13, 2024, 11:20 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.     Martha came to Redemption Road Rescue from a pound in TX where she was set to be euthanized due to over crowding and her sarcoptic mange. A volunteer drove down to get her to foster and she is now healthy and has a beautiful brindle coat.  Martha is a great companion and will bond tightly with her forever family. She currently has small senior dog foster siblings and would benefit from another dog who is willing and able to play with her. She is an active girl and likes walks and playing to keep busy and burn off energy. She has not been cat tested. She has played well with kids age 12+, and is very rambunctious.   Martha is doing great with potty training and lets you know when she needs to go outside. She is crate trained for when her fosters are out of the house, but sleeps in bed with them at night. She LOVES walks to burn off that energy, so she can have some couch potato time too!   Martha is a smart girl who needs a knowledgable andpatient home to help her in her transition from TX street dog to spoiled member of her forever family. Be sure to check out the photo in her bio that shows her Embark breed analysis!! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   Vinny is about 1-2 years old  and only 35 lbs. He is a sweet boy that loves everyone, kids included. Vinny has done great with some dogs at his temporary foster home, but he would do best as an only dog or with a submissive female. No cats either just to be on the safe side. Vinny was rescued from a rural pound in Ohio, just in the nick of time. He now needs a forever home so he can start to really live! Vinny is sweet, fun, and funny. He'd love to find a foster home and/or eventually a permanent loving home that will give him loads of hugs, and exercise! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Sarah (fka Caziel) was an owner surrender that was formerly a stray and taken to a high kill shelter in West Texas. She was surrendered due to being adopted from their and owner moving.  She is good with other dogs and older kids, young children and cats are unknown.   She is a high energy girl that would likely be a great running partner.  Her left eye is enlarged due to a deformity but the vet says there are no concerns and she even has some siight with it.  All dogs and puppies require supervision and training. Sarah arrived in Minnesota in March 2024 and has been looking for herforever home ever since. She is potty trained, crate trained, and isquiet in her kennel all day. Sarah requires slow intros to dogs thatshe doesn’t know. It is best to keep her and a new dog separated forat least a few hours while she gets used to them. For this reason, sheis not a good dog park or brewery dog candidate. She lives with 3other dogs and loves them, but she wants to decide on her termswhether they are friends or not. Sarah has not been around cats. Sarah walks well on a leash, but she gets excited and pulls when shesees another dog or a squirrel. She is fearful of cars that drive tooclose to her, but she is great at riding in the car. She is quiet andyou’ll forget she’s there! Sarah has a good amount of energy and would benefit from a home thatcan give her consistent exercise and mental stimulation. She lovesbones and chew toys; even the tough chewer toys don’t last long withSarah! Sarah doesn’t bark often, only when she is playing and is really excited. Her love language is physical touch- she lays right on top of herfoster parents in bed and on the couch. She is the happiest girl inthe world when her foster parents come home from work- her whole bodywiggles with excitement! She will lick your face all day if you lether, and she is the ultimate snuggler. If you’re looking for a best friend for life, look no further than Sarah!  Please put in your application on our website mattysheartandsoulanimalrescue.rescuegroups.org.      Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 17, 2025, 12:03 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Huxley's momma was adopted from a high kill shelter in West Texas. Her adopter was told she was fully vetted and low and behold a few weeks later out popped puppies. He and his siblings were split between us and another local MN rescue. They will be altered prior to adoption however before that happens they will be available for foster or foster to adopt. They love other dogs and are around young children. Cats are generally fine with proper intros since they are so young. They are typical puppies and are very high energy.  All dogs and puppies require supervision and training.     Huxley arrived in Minnesota in October 2024 with his sister who wasadopted. He is a little on the shy side, but once he gets to know you,he really opens up. Huxley lives with 3 other dogs and gets alonggreat with all of them. They all run in the backyard and playtogether! He was with a cat for a few days and liked to chase them. He goes into his kennel with no issues and is quiet. Huxley walks wellon a leash, but he gets nervous while you’re putting the leash on.Once it’s on and you’re outside, he is ready to explore and sniffevery rock and blade of grass you can find! He is not potty trained yet, but his foster mom is working on it! Huxley loves toys and bones of any kind and is also very foodmotivated, which is great for training. He knows how to sit and willgive you the sweetest puppy dog eyes, hoping you’ll share a bite ofyour food! He has big floppy ears that bounce all over when he runs-it is the cutest thing ever! His foster mom is working on his recall- he sometimes doesn’t like tocome in from outside! He has too much fun exploring the yard andchewing on sticks and leaves! Huxley rides well in the car- he is quiet and takes a nap the whole ride. His favorite hobby is putting his paws up on the kitchen counter tosee what you have up there (he’s very curious) so make sure to pushyour food and decorations back when Huxley is around! He’s very much apuppy and will chew on things like shoes, cords, and pillows if giventhe chance. If you’re looking for a sweet boy, look no further than Huxley! First priority will go to someone who lives in the twin cities metro in order to bring to a vet visit at the end of January.  Please put in your application on our website mattysheartandsoulanimalrescue.rescuegroups.org.      Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 26, 2025, 7:47 pm

Meet Oboe! This sweet and playful 1.5-year-old, 43lb Pit mix is the perfect combination of affection and energy. Oboe is a curious, friendly pup who loves meeting new people and dogs alike. Whether it`s playing a game of fetch, exploring new places, or enjoying a cozy nap, Oboe is always up for a good time. His goofy personality will bring plenty of laughter to your home, and his gentle nature makes him an ideal companion for all ages.As Oboe has acclimated to his foster home he has shown that, at heart, he is a lower-medium energy guy. He does like running around, but is also content going for a short walk. He is also content running outside with a dog friend(s) as well! He is often seen being the chasee in a big game of ‘tag’ in playgroups; check it out here: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLS5FLiVr89spWTSXAWQw6YE6CtDnD28p4&si=f3569GCLB24K2D64.Very much the typical young pup, Oboe still has a lot to learn in life. House manners, crate training, and leash walking are a few. But with some positive reinforcement and guidance, Oboe is a quick learner who’s ready to settle into a loving home where he can continue to thrive and share his joyful spirit. If you’re looking for a fun-loving and affectionate dog, Oboe would love to meet you! Story
Meet Jenga, the 2 y/o Pit Bull mix who`s ready to bring excitement and fun to your life - just like the game she’s named after! At first, Jenga might seem a little cautious around new people, showing her need for space with a bark or growl. But don`t let that first move fool you; once you start building trust, the fun begins! With a little patience and time to warm up, you’ll soon discover the high-energy, fun-loving cheerleader she is at heart. Jenga loves to play rough with other dogs and is the life of the pawrty in MACC`s playgroup program. Whether it`s racing around or wrestling, she’s always ready for action. When paired one-on-one with a more laid-back dog, she may need a little help from her handler to keep the playtime mutual, as her love for the game of chase can sometimes be a little obnoxious to the unwilling. Luckily, Jenga is very receptive to direction and is eager to please her humans! Here is a link to her playgroup videos: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLS5FLiVr89soAq-VGh-P9QOKcFn-POvnEJenga doesn’t only love to run with dogs; she is more than happy to chase cats, too! This girly got the chance to live with a kitty for a couple of weeks but unfortunately needed to be surrendered because of her relentless pursuit of the fun of the chase. Jenga should only go to a home that has no cats nor other small animals.Jenga is also ready to stack up some new skills—she already knows a few basic obedience commands and would love to keep building her knowledge. An obedience class would be the perfect way for her to learn even more, and a great way to strengthen the bond between you and this clever pup! Jenga is also potty trained! She will whine at you or pace in front of the door as a sign that she needs to “go”. Jenga is also mostly crate trained; she will walk in the crate when told “Jenga crate” but is initially vocal; thus, apartment living likely isn’t her ideal scenario.Jenga is currently being fostered in the home with another (female) small breed dog, a chinchilla, an adult male and woman, and one child. She was initially very fearful of the adult male, but after a few hours of being ignored she settled right in and now prefers him to the adult female, when it comes to snuggle time. She has also done well with the older, dog savvy child in the home.Like a game of Jenga, Jenga`s personality is layered—what starts off a bit uncertain can quickly turn into a rewarding, stable relationship with the r

Meet Donner: a two-year-old pupper with a nose for adventure! Exploring is his jam - whether it`s sniffing every blade of grass in the yard or following the trail of a curious scent, he’s all about the journey. Though he might need a little time to warm up to new faces and experiences, once Donner feels safe, his sweet and gentle nature truly shines.During his stay at MACC, Donner has been brushing up on some important skills, like recall, “find it,” and sit. He’s a quick learner, especially when tasty treats are involved (pro tip: he’s all about the palm delivery method for snacks!). Watching him tackle fetch is an absolute delight - he enthusiastically charges after the toy but often zips right past it, as if he’s got his own secret mission in mind.Donner’s ideal home is calm and quiet, where he can continue to build his confidence at his own pace with a patient, loving human by his side. He’s a cuddle pro-in-training, as evidenced by the way he leaned in for some pets after a recent outing - an adorable little reminder that trust and love go hand in paw.If you’re ready to give this sweet boy the stable and supportive environment he deserves, Donner might just be the companion you’ve been waiting for!

She is young and busy, but she is quick to offer you her belly for rubs. She does best with dogs similar to her size. She prefers to be in an adult only home. Malibu spent several months living in a shelter and it has taken some  time to acclimate back to living in a home. Malibu loves to go on walks and does great with loose leash walking with someone that will give gentle reminders. She loves being outside and playing chase with her foster brother. Malibu will be a great sidekick for someone looking for a buddy. If you have previously applied with us please email adoptionatmars@gmail.com to reactivate your application with new interest. All fees are subject to MN sales tax and a processing fee at the time of adoption. Sometimes the pets appear to be a particular breed(s) in the pictures we receive from our rescue partners and when they arrive we are surprised to see an entirely different breed(s) in person!  If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess. It is with deep longing that we wish there was a breed called 'cute' as we believe all of our dogs would fall under this new breed classification! Completion of an Adoption Application via our website www.midwestanimalrescue.org is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is the first step in our adoption process.  *Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.  Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance. //

Story
Hi there, I’m Boomer Jr., but my foster mom calls me Boom! I’m a 6-month-old mix and a total lovebug. I made my way to Minnesota all the way from North Carolina after a hurricane so the shelter there could help more pups in need. Now, I’m ready to find my forever home!   I’m the goodest boy—fully potty trained, kennel trained, and eager to learn. I’ve already mastered "sit," "lay down," and "get down," and I’m super food-motivated, so teaching me new tricks will be a breeze. I love making doggie friends, especially bigger ones, because sometimes I forget my size and play a little too hard with the tiny pups.   I’ve been polite around cats and can happily share a home with them. I’m also great in the car—I’ll just curl up and relax while you drive. I do get a bit nervous around new people and might bark or growl at first, but give me a treat or two, and I’ll be your best friend in no time. Because of this, I’d do best in a quieter home without kids, as loud noises make me anxious.   I’m a playful guy with lots of energy, so a fenced yard would be perfect for me to zoom around in. I love my toys and have a funny habit of pulling all of them out of my toy bin and bringing them to my spot on the couch—my foster mom says it’s the cutest thing ever!   If you’re looking for a loyal, loving, and fun companion, I’m your pup. I can’t wait to meet you and start our adventures together!       Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee:  $525.00Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 8, 2024, 9:49 am

Story
Hey, I’m Cherokee, I believe we can be best friends! I’m a Mountain cur, boxer mix but my momma thinks I’m just a mega mutt which is like the best breed ever in my opinion. I am such a sweet lover boy - who doesn’t love a lover boy? I am a little bit more of an emotional boy. I love hugs and cuddles. I am a typical puppy who loves to play. I love other doggos and would do best in a home with another dog friend. I am a smart pup who is kennel trained and doing so well on potty training. I sleep through the night in my foster momma's bed and will not move or have an accident; I just cuddle up as close as I can get to her. I am very food motivated and have learned to sit and then wait. I should be able to learn any trick you have the patience to teach because I would do anything for a treat. I have started playing catch with a ball as well and will even bring it back! I’m basically the best dude ever and look at me aren’t I adorable?? Anyway, I can’t wait to meet you!!!! Love, Cherokee    Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue.
