Story
Harley is an 8 year old female, and she’s a very sweet girl. She’s fixed, microchipped, vaccinated, potty trained and crate trained. She loves to cuddle and she’s great with adults and kids, as well as other dogs. Although, I’m not sure that she’d do well in a home with cats. I’m going through a divorce, and so I had to move into an Apartment complex that unfortunately does not accept Pitbulls. Harley is a small girl, under 40lbs, so she doesn’t take up much space. She still loves to play, so she’d do well in a fenced in yard. She has never needed to be on a special diet, and she has no health issues. She’s always had a large yard to play in, so she has a tendency to pull on a leash when she has to go places. She is afraid of thunder and fireworks, but only the sounds. When she’s outside on a summer night in July, she doesn’t mind fireworks, because she’s able to see them. I’m heartbroken to rehome my girl, please show her the love that she deserves.

Story
Meet Nani! Nani is a special girl with such a sad upbringing. Nani came into the shelter with her sister Nani started their first 5 months of life living in a camper, that was extremely unsanitary. They also received very limited human interaction. While Nani have come leaps & bounds, there are a lot of things that still make them nervous and uncomfortable. *While Lilo & Nani enjoy each others company they are not bonded, and can be adopted separately* 🐾Nani has spent the last 12 weeks in Pawsitive Futures a training program! Nani have learned tons of commands and skills, they are such a well rounded and playful pups! Nani is a pitbull mix that is around 9 months old and weight about 40 pounds, so we don’t think she will get too much bigger. Nani can be quite scared/nervous of new people, and do take a significant amount of time to warm up to someone new. Nani is not aggressive by any means but if she is uncomfortable will just try and avoid. Nani is housebroken and would do best in a home with older kids-young children make them far too uncomfortable. Nani doesn’t mind cats and is good with other dogs. Another confident dog is actually ideal as Nani loves other dogs! We do require a dog intro with any future k-9 siblings to make sure everyone gets along. Nani is up to date on her vaccinations, dewormed, flea treated, heartworm tested, microchipped & spayed! ✔️Nani has completed the program and is able to be adopted at anytime! If you are looking to fill out an application, click on the link below to fill out an adoption application! https://form.jotform.com/253083676773165 🐾Please be patient if you have submitted an application, we want to make sure we place each dog in a home were they are best fit🐾 If you have any questions in regards to Nani or filling out an application please contact the shelter directly at 989-831-7302! *All adoptions are done by appointment only*

Story
Meet Cornbread! For those who don’t know Cornbread, just know she’s kind of a big deal. She is one of the most popular dogs around the Central Michigan Correctional Facility! 🐾Cornbread has spent the last 6 months in Pawsitive Futures a training program! While Cornbread has received tons of training, they also offered the best care possible while Cornbread recovered from two extensive knee surgeries-to repair her luxating patella’s. Cornbread is a pitbull mix that is around 2.5 years old and weighs about 50 pounds. Cornbread is a sweet a girl who loves to be around her humans! But she’s also a master couch potato. Cornbread walks good on a leash and is overall just a sweet heart! Cornbread is housebroken and is good with kids, and will most likely chase cats. So a home without maybe ideal. Cornbread is also good with the other dogs. We do require a dog intro with any future k-9 siblings to make sure everyone gets along! Cornbread is up to date on her vaccinations, dewormed, flea treated, heartworm tested, microchipped & spayed! ✔️Cornbread has completed the training program(and then some) and is able to be adopted anytime!
