Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. My name is Fairing and I’m looking for my forever home and a new best friend. I love to cuddle and hang out with my peeps. I know I look big in my pictures but I'm really smaller than I look. I’m hoping my new best friend works from home so I can hog all their attention, I really don’t like being alone, but if not that’s ok too. I just want to be your one and only and follow you wherever you go. I love to ride in the car, play with my squeaky toys and explore outside. My foster mom says I’m such a good girl because I don’t beg for food. I’m not a fan of the crate so if you use one, I won’t be a good fit. I’m pretty smart and know how to sit, lay down, stay and come when asked. I need to be the only dog in the house because dogs scare me. Back in April of 2022 I was diagnosed with an FCE which occurs when disc material becomes stuck in the spinal artery, causing an ischemic event or stroke. This has caused some lameness in my hind right leg but I promise you this doesn’t really slow me down much. Sometimes when I’m feeling lazy, I will drag my foot a little but most of the time I walk and run using it just fine (please watch videos on my page). I can’t do more than a few steps at a time unless someone helps me out. I have a fancy sling and harness just in case I need it.  A home with kids is ok as long as they are old enough to respect my needs. Please check our event page for my attendance, I know you will love me once we meet.  If you are interested in meeting, fostering or adopting me, please fill out an online application. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If interested in any of our animals for adoption, or to foster an animal, please fill out the respective application here to get the process started. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. I’ve had a bit of a rough start to life after being found in the streets with my sister as a puppy. I am a very sweet and lovable guy who likes to curl up next to my person when we watch tv, sleep, or on days when we’re just couch potatoes. I also like to go on walks and I know some basic commands like sit, shake, wait and down. I think my favorite thing in the whole world (besides lots of love and pets) is chewing on bully sticks but don’t worry I never chew on the wrong things. I know shoes are for wearing and not chewing. I also love squeaky toys and repeatedly pushing them to make them squeak, something about it just makes me so happy. I’ve never had an accident in my fosters house and I ring a bell when I need to go outside. I love to also run and play outside. When other dogs bark at me I just ignore them and do my own thing. When given the opportunity I love to play with other dogs but sometimes I don’t know when enough is enough and then I’m given a little break. I’m just so submerged in play I guess I just miss the cues sometimes but I’ve never been aggressive. I’ve been with the rescue longer than I thought I would have been. All I want is someone or a family with older calm kids to call my forever home and love me forever. If you are interested in meeting, fostering or adopting me, please fill out an online application. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. Hi there! My name originally was Daya but I go by Rue and my three favorite things are food, cozy pillows, and cuddles (ideally all happening at once). I am content to curl up in a ball and sleep the day away but I do have bursts of energy and I LOVE to chew so I need a home where I can get the exercise and mental stimulation I need. I love my people and want nothing more than to cuddle up and be with them. Meeting new people can sometimes be a little bit scary for me. While I can meet new adults in the right environment, I am very scared of little kids so my new home needs to be just for me and my adults. I like my crate (especially with a fuzzy blanket). I would benefit from a patient and experienced owner. I’ve never lived with a cat but I have lived with other dogs my whole life. My ideal situation would be one where I could be the only dog in the house but if you want to meet and have a pooch already don’t let that stop you! A person to cuddle with on a sunny day is all I really need. If you are interested in meeting me, adopting me or fostering me please fill out an online application. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hello, my name is Charlie. I’m a friendly, loving, energetic two-year-old neutered male who loves to cuddle. My hobbies include going for long walks, running in the yard, playing tug-a-war, and playing catch. I love to play, but at the end of the day, I love nothing more than a comfy place to cuddle next to my mom or dad. I also really enjoy giving hugs! I do better hanging out and playing with older kids. I’m house-trained and crate-trained. I love positive reinforcement when learning new instructions and tricks. I prefer all the attention so I would do best in a home where I am the only pet. I am a great companion and my perfect home would be with a family that is active and can give me the love and attention I need. If you’re looking for a dog to go on adventures during the day and a great cuddle bug at night I am your guy! ***PLEASE NOTE:  This animal is listed as a courtesy to another organization and does not belong to Last Day Dog Rescue.  Applications will be forwarded to the animals foster.*** Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 4, 2024, 7:53 am

He LOVES to run around his fenced yard and would like a forever home with a fenced yard, too. He is not a barker and walks well on a leash with his harness. He knows sit and comes when called. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If interested in any of our animals for adoption, or to foster an animal, please fill out the respective application here to get the process started. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. &#226&#128&#139Styx  and her siblings were part of an unplanned litter in Detroit.  We were told their mom is a Rottweiler mix and dad was an unknown stray. Based on current size, estimated age, and paw size, the vet estimates Styx will only be around 25-30 pounds as an adult.  These pups came to us very skinny and under-socialized. They are looking a lot better after getting regular meals – they LOVE their food. New people, places, and things are all a bit scary. They do warm up as they feel more comfortable, but adopters will need to continue to work to socialize their pup to build confidence and trust. Despite their rough start to life, these pups are very sweet and loving! Styx is the most shy of the group around new people. With her foster family, she is a typical snuggly puppy who wants to be a lap dog. However, she will need a lot of time to build that trust with her new family. Following a decompression protocol like the one described here ( https://www.wihumane.org/behavior/ask-the-experts/dogs/bringing-home-a-fearful-dog) will likely be necessary for a successful adoption. She also would do best in a quieter home without a lot of people coming and going. Styx loves to play fetch and is exceptionally good at dropping the toy back for you to throw again. She warms up to new dogs more quickly than to new people and would love to have a confident dog sibling to help her learn the ropes in her new home. While she makes it hard for you to earn her trust, the effort will be rewarded with lots of love and loyalty.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Story
When making an omelet, it’s important to have the right balance of ingredients. This Omelet is the perfect mix of sweetness, gentleness, and a good dash of playfulness. He is truly an egg-straordinary boy! Like an eggy in a basket, Omelet loves having a cozy place to curl up. His favorite is a covered crate with lots of cushy blankets and toys inside. You may find him curled up in there, enjoying an evening peanut butter filled Kong. These comforts help Omelet feel safe and secure. Omelet may be a bit shy when he first meets you, as new environments and people can be a little scary for him. But with a little patience and understanding, he comes out of his shell! Though Omelet may have a beautiful coat that is white as snow, he is certainly not a fan of the cold. He would much rather cuddle in bed while you binge watch your favorite comfort show together. Omelet would like to take a crack at being your best friend. He is so egg-cited to meet his new family!Omelet`s Ideal Home: -Must meet kids, recommend older kids- Must meet dogs

I love hanging out with my favorite people and am down for any adventure they take. I promise to bring lots of love, laughter, and fun into your life. My foster said I am a great snuggler and could spend hours watching the neighborhood from the window. If your answer is yes than you might be the home for me! See I am simple girl but I do require lots of tennis balls!! I like other toys but nothing gets me as excited as having tennis balls! My foster says I am just a happy gal, that is good with all people even kiddos! I am house broken, but I may have had a couple accidents but I am still recovering from taking care of my 5 babies for the last several weeks. They all have found their forever homes and now it’s my turn. I was a great mom but my foster promised I never ever have to do it again, which sounds perfect to me! I really love my foster home. See, I also get alone time and have my own room, I have adults and kids who play fetch with me a few times a day. They all helped me get better on the leash, to come when I was called, I am actually even starting to learn how to settle down and watch TV. I would probably like to stay here but they have some big dogs here, I just don’t like when they get in my way. My foster thinks I will much prefer to be the only dog in a home.  I think that is true at least to start. The cats here don’t bother me. Did I mention my NEED for tennis balls, oh I did, okay.
