Brutus is a stunning boy with lots of strength. He's playful, goofy, and a big sweetie! He is unfortunately living his life confined to a bedroom, hoping someone can give him another chance at life.This sweet boy was surrendered 2 years ago because his owners decided to move without him. He was luckily adopted and has been very loved since then, but now he has run into another situation through no fault of his own. Brutus had a child with special needs move into his house. Although he's shown no aggression and has not had any issues with the child, his owner is concerned about the child not understanding how to interact with Brutus and therefore has to keep him separated. Instead of Brutus coming back to the shelter again to live in a kennel, his owner is keeping him until he can find a new home. It's not his owners fault and he is trying to do what's best for everyone, but unfortunately Brutus is suffering because of it. He isn't getting the exercise or attention he needs living his life in one bedroom, and he desperately deserves another chance at a family.He is a big boy with an even bigger heart, sweet as can be, and dog friendly. He has gained 15 lbs just since the recent change in his lifestyle, weighing almost 100 lbs now. He needs a family committed to helping him lose weight, and providing both the mental stimulation and physical exercise that he needs.He would benefit from some training to help him work on his leash manners as he was in a home that used an invisible fence, so he wasn't leash trained. A dog-savvy owner would be best for Brutus, as well. Please consider coming to Brutus's rescue and showing him what forever really means. He is staying under the radar, trying to be a low key observer of our community. He presents himself timid, then friendly, with a hint of humor. As he expands his friend base we hope to learn all of his secrets. Come out and watch the transformation from autobot to loyal best friend. He has been through alot with his two companions. It would seem they were previously kept inside and well taken care of before they were dumped together. Possibly mother/ sister and father family unit. They keep their kennels neat and are respectful of others.Bumble has met some cats and seemed to be inquisitive but timid. He's processing what they are. His new leader will need to teach him the purpose of the fuzzy friends. Positive reinforcement is essential to success with Bumble. He might have come from a harsh environment. He is learning to love. Learning to see the good in people. All things new need to go slowly as he transitions to your world. Separating and low key are the keys to Bumble's Success. The two week transition shut down will be important for him to understand what is expected and not become overwhelmed. We know he is excited to see Mom/sister. But beyond that relationship he will need time to adjust to other dogs. He may not have had the best father son relationship. 😻✔️ok with cats🐶 ✔️ok with Mom/Sister dogs.❓other dogs unknown.He seems excited and curious as he passes by other dogs. Easy to walk up the kennels.🚖 ✔️Sweet personality. ❤️ All the charm of a vintage camero- Good looks and zippy around town! ✔️Housetrained.🚫no groups of people. Too much, too soon might be more than he can process right now🚫no young kids right now. Very timid.🚫👋no fast hands. Even when he knows you, quick movements are still startling and cause this fine fella to transform back into a scared autobot. 🍔food will always be high value item for him. He came to this planet thin. Feed separately. Understanding that he might have had an abrupt owner previously.
