Story
Meet Carol, the lovable and easygoing canine companion you've been searching for! At 5 years old, Carol is in her prime, and she's looking for a forever home where she can enjoy the finer things in life, like lounging by the pool and savoring delicious treats.A Relaxation Expert: Carol is the epitome of a laid-back dog. She prefers leisurely strolls to intense hikes, and her idea of a perfect day involves lounging by the pool, soaking up the sun's warmth, and dipping her paws into the cool water. If you have a pool or are considering getting one, Carol is your perfect poolside partner.Treat Aficionado: Carol has a bit of a sweet tooth—or should we say, a sweet paw? She adores treats and can be easily won over with a tasty snack. This makes her an ideal candidate for a training partner; she's eager to learn and motivated by her love for treats.Solo Star: Carol thrives as the center of attention. She would do best as the only pet in the household, where she can have all your love and affection to herself. This lovely lady deserves to shine brightly in her forever home, and she's more than ready for her chance to do just that.A Long Wait: Carol has been patiently waiting for her forever family for three long years at the shelter. It's time for her to experience the love, care, and security that only a forever home can provide. She has so much love to give and is ready to share it with the right person or family.Give Carol a Chance: Carol's heart is full of love, and all she needs now is someone who can give her a chance. If you're ready to open your heart to a sweet, low-energy, and snuggly companion, Carol is waiting to meet you. Don't let her wait any longer—come meet Carol today and give her the loving forever home she so richly deserves. Together, you can make the next chapter of her life the best one yet.My adoption fee is normally $250.This includes a spay/neuter, up-to-date vaccines, deworming, a microchip, a heartworm test, and, if needed, heartworm treatment.________________________________________________________________________________________________If you would like to meet one of our adoptables or learn more about them, please submit an application at https://animalrescueneworleans.org/adoptfoster/.**Note: Our shelter is open by scheduled appointment with an approved application. Story
My name is Mary Lou, but I think Miracle might be a better name for me. You see I was in terrible shape, starving and emaciated when I tried to cross the I10 at the Louisiana/Mississippi border when I tried to cross and was hit by a car. Angels came to my rescue who got me in a truck and started on a mission to save me. ARNO hospitalized me and now I am in a foster home. My foster mom has been taking care of me as I feel better and better. This is what she had to say:Mary Lou is such a loving and affectionate dog, definitely wants your attention and will give the kisses. If you stop petting her, she will lean into you for more pets. She is very smart and knows several commands. She can sit for a treat even though I don’t make her because she is still unsteady due to her surgery. She patiently waits at the opened back door until I give her permission to come in (must have learned from her previous owner), she knows the command for kennel, and does not beg when humans are eating. She appears to be potty trained now that I have been letting her lay in my office when I’m working from home in the day. She is a sweet dog and looking for a home that will give all the loving she deserves. Please consider giving this sweet girl the chance she needs at the good life. Story
Hi there! My name is Ace, but you can call me the "lovable hippo" because, let’s be honest, I’ve got the personality of a clumsy baby rhino wrapped in a fur coat. I’m basically a professional goofball. I LOVE everyone—humans, dogs, cats, squirrels (but the squirrels don’t seem to love me back… I’ll win them over one day).My hobbies include chasing my tail (it’s a never-ending mystery), carrying around the biggest stick I can find (because why not), and flopping dramatically into your lap like I’m auditioning for a soap opera. Did I mention I’m a champion snuggler? Yup, I’ll melt into you like butter on toast.I’m still learning the whole “puppy manners” thing, but I’m a fast learner—especially if you’ve got treats. Treats = my kryptonite. You want a sit? A stay? I’m your guy. You want me to not zoomie through the living room at 100 mph? Okay, we might need to negotiate that one.If you’re looking for a silly, loving, and slightly ridiculous companion who will make you laugh every single day, I’m your Ace. Let’s be best friends forever. Come meet me—I’ll even share my stick! (Okay, maybe not that stick, but we’ll talk.) Story
The old owner of the dog was sick with cancer so I took her in to take care of her. Unfortunately the owner passed away not long ago and i’ve been with Tiger ever since. I am unable to take care of her because of certain illnesses of my own. Tiger deserves a better owner and a better home. Tiger is I believe 1-2 years old. She’s extremely friendly, doesn’t bark or bite. She’s the shy type but after a while she’ll end up loving all over you. She doesn’t require any special care or anything of the sort.

Story
She is very sweet and just wants constant love. Shes trained very well doesnt run away or anything but she has some food aggression. She has a allergy to fish and red meat so she eats strictly chicken and turkey. She listens very well and can be taught things quickly with just pets and play. She loves kids but is a wiggly worm and wants to jump on everyone (but you can tell she holds back) very sweet dog needs help with some skin conditions but other than the health issues and food aggression shes perfect to me.

My name is Coco. I am a 4 year old boxer mix who would love to meet you.I only weigh 48 lbs, but ARNO has fattened me up. I was found dragging a chain behind me and a sad past, but you would never know it. I am a happy and playful girl. I appreciate every little thing as I get to know the good life in foster, but I would love a home of my own. My foster says I am good with everyone and everything. I will spend the rest of my life thanking you! Hi, I’m Mabel!Maybe I was born with it… maybe it’s Mabel(line)! Either way, I’m a sweet, snuggly girl who’s ready to curl up on the couch and be your best friend. My vibe is all about low-energy lounging. I’m not one of those zoomy pups—I’m more into cozy blankets, Netflix marathons, and head scratches.I love treats (who doesn’t?), so if you’ve got some, I’m all ears—literally! My ears perk right up when snacks are involved. I get along great with other dogs, too, so if you’ve got a furry buddy at home, I’m happy to share my snuggles.I’m the perfect mix of laid-back and lovable, and I just know I’ll make your life so much sweeter. Ready to meet your new cuddle buddy?
