Story
Potter’s default setting is Pure Joy! Every day is a new adventure for this pup. Potter is a Pit mix, born March 2024. He is very affectionate and gives lots of kisses. He loves his people and wants to stay close to them. Potter is very active and loves to play. He enjoys the outdoors, but is still learning good leash manners. He is good with other dogs, but can be a bit rambunctious at times (he's still a puppy after all!). When meeting new people, he can be somewhat cautious at first, but he warms up quickly and loves everyone. He is potty trained, crate trained, and very motivated by food/treats.  The suggested adoption donation for Potter is $465, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training).  Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization meaning that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. All donations go toward that mission. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals. In 2022 alone, we provided animal Healthcare totaling over $399,000 covered mainly through adoption fees. Before applying to adopt Potter, you need to be familiar with your local breed-specific legislation regarding Pit Bulls. Applicants must live within 50 miles of the Omaha/Council Bluffs area. Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application has completed our prescreen steps, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks, and a Home Visit (Virtual in some cases) during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each animal, based on the animal’s needs. If you and the animal are not a good match, we will help you select another animal, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months. To learn about Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue or donate to our animals, please visit our website at MuddyPawsSecondChanceRescue.com or our Facebook Page Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue Inc.   If the dog or cat you adopt is older than 6 months of age and not spayed or neutered, you will receive a voucher to alter the pet at Val Verde Animal Hospital in Omaha, at no cost to you.  Or you can alter the pet at your own vet and be reimbursed $100 for dogs, and $50 for cats, of total cost.  If the dog or cat is younger than 6 months of age, adopter will be responsible for the cost of altering the pet at the vet of their choice.  If proof of alter is received by Muddy Paws prior to the pet turning 6 months of age, a reimbursement of $100 for dogs and $50 for cats, will be sent to you to help cover expenses.  All puppies and kittens MUST be spayed or neutered by 6 months of age.  All dogs and cats MUST be spayed or neutered no later than one month after adoption is finalized.  Thank you in advance for your compliance. ##2108169##

Story
Sadie is a young Pitbull Terrier (born 2022) who is hoping for a new family who will play with her and teach her new things.  She is friendly with people of all ages as well as other pets.  The perfect home for Sadie would be with a family who has time to spend with her and give her the appropriate training that she needs.  She is leash trained and knows some commands.   Sadie does well in a crate, but may need a little help with potty training.   She won't make messes in her kenneI and if she's able to go outside within 30 minutes after drinking water, she'll be OK.   A fenced in yard is needed in her new home, she has lots of energy and would love to be able to run around and play outside.  When she comes inside, she'll be very happy to rest in your lap and give kisses! The suggested adoption donation for Sadie is $400, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training). Story
Mazy is a Pittie, born August 2022.  The perfect home for Mazy would be with people who enjoy the outdoors and would take Mazy for regular walks.  She likes to be active and needs stimulation.  A fenced yard is a must.  She would do well in a home with other dogs in the home.  After a walk or adventure, she'll be ready to cuddle on your lap or the couch. Mazy is crate trained, leash trained and knows some commands.  She has a tendency to bark when someone is at the door or at people in the yard next door.  She's been working on this, also doing some training on the leash and commands.  Mazy is friendly with other dogs and cats.  She gets along with strangers and kids of all ages. The suggested adoption donation for Mazy is $400, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training).  Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization meaning that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. Story
Luca (b.3/6/2022) is a blue-nose, male pittie.  He is the sweetest boy who is looking for a place to call home!  Luca has lots of playful energy and loves his chew toys, crawling on laps, and snuggling! Lucas is potty trained and crate trained and can be left alone without being destructive. He can be a little shy at first and will need slow introductions to new dog friends but would like to have a buddy about his size and close in energy level. He does love his food/high value chews though and doesn’t want anyone around while he enjoys them. Luca would love a home that will provide consistent calming enrichment and continual positive reinforcement training. He would be good in a home with older children that respect his space when he needs it. Must live within a 50 mile radius of Omaha/Council Bluffs to continue working with the trainer.  The suggested adoption donation for Luca is $300.  Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization which means that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. All donations go toward that mission. Alterations are REQUIRED for all Muddy Paws adoptions. The contract states the alter must be done within ONE month of the adoption date or adopter will be in breach of contract.
