He’s eager to settle down, enjoy life’s simpler pleasures, and finally find his forever place.Ashton’s ideal home is one with children 13 or older, where everyone can understand and respect his needs. Once he trusts you, he’ll be your most loyal and loving companion.Life hasn’t been easy for Zeus. He faced abuse at a young age, leaving him cautious and unsure in new situations. But this incredible dog has so much potential when given patience and kindness. During a two-week training program at Paws & Play, Zeus showed how smart and eager he is to learn, especially with a consistent routine to help him feel safe.Zeus loves chest scratches, car rides, and working on food puzzles. Sammie`s Compatibility:Dogs - Meet & GreetCats - No, thank youKids - Yes, pre-teens and older kidsSammie is here to steal your heart! This gentle girl knows how to make people laugh with her adorable tooth chomps when she gets excited. Since moving in with her foster mom, Sammie has gone from a nervous pup to a sweet, loving companion who’s ready to find her forever home.Sammie’s favorite pastimes include shopping trips to hardware and pet stores, where she eagerly awaits her favorite treat: pup cups at the drive-thru! She’s also a fan of snuggling, taking walks, car rides, and running zoomies in the yard. And guess what? She recently discovered a love for playing in water after a fun pool day, adding even more charm to her already sparkling personality.Sammie would love a home where someone is around frequently. She’s built up her confidence and can handle being left alone for a few hours, but she’d be sad if left alone all day. She does best with slow introductions to other dogs and has done great with calmer dogs after a proper intro. Sammie would love a cat-free home with kids who are at least 12 years of age.Sammie is eager to share her love and happiness with her new forever family. Story
Meet Red, the adorable senior dog who is eagerly waiting for his forever home! At 9 years old, Red has a heart full of love and a playful spirit that belies his age. This sweet boy has been thriving in foster care and is ready to bring joy to a loving family. Here’s everything you need to know about Red:House Manners and Training:Red is a well-behaved house guest with impeccable manners. He has not had any accidents indoors and is trusted to roam freely while his foster parent is at work. Although a crate hasn’t been necessary, Red has shown curiosity about it, indicating he’d likely be fine if crated.Daily Routine:Red’s day starts with an energizing morning walk. He then spends the day at home until his foster parent returns from work. Evenings are his favorite time, as he loves playing in the backyard. Red is learning recall and working on staying calm when other dogs are near the fence.Interactions and Social Skills:Red gets along well with other dogs and has been practicing walks with the neighbor’s dog, showing great progress. Red gets excited in the car but does well when buckled in the backseat.Previous Experience with Dogs:Red has lived with dogs in the past and enjoyed their company. If you already have dogs at home, we recommend bringing them for a meet and greet at the shelter to ensure a good match.Home Requirements:Red needs a home without cats and where everyone is at least 18 years old. He can be a bit wary of strangers at first, so a household with adults who can understand his needs and help him feel safe is ideal. Training and Personality:This lively pup has been focusing on recall and managing his excitement, especially when running freely in the backyard. Red is affectionately nicknamed “wild man” because of his joyful, full-speed sprints in the yard, always with a big smile on his face. He loves toys and blankets, having once snuck into the spare bedroom to revel in a blanket pile he found. Why Adopt Red?It took some time, but Red has come out of his shell remarkably, displaying an excitement for life and a gentle, loving demeanor. His wonderful house manners and adaptable nature make him an excellent addition to the home.If you’re looking for a loving, playful, and well-mannered companion, Red is the dog for you. Come meet Red and see if he’s the perfect match for your family!Follow me on Instagram: @adopt.red

Story
This is Rooney. She is a lovely pit/boxer that needs to be re-homed. In my home I have a black cat, a teacup poodle, and a 2 year old. Rooney gets along great with them. Problem only arise when she is excited and wants to play. She forgets how big she is. -2-3 years old. -Spayed. -No dental issues -Likes naps -Chews her toys, not your house -No anxiety -Ok with cage for up to four hours. Have not tried longer durations. -I recommend a large yard with fence. But I think she would be okay with a smaller yard. -Currently, to get her to pee, you will need to walk outside with her. When you let her out she will sit at the door until you come out with her. -There have been minimal potty accidents, though you should keep an eye on her should she sneak off. -I need to rehome rooney as my wife does not want the stress of additional animals in the home. -I would prefer an adopter with patience, is a home owner w/ back yard, and is financially and domestically stable. Free cage, mat , toys

Story
Have you been looking for a pup to laugh with you, cry with you, and most importantly cheer you up during your worst moments? Neo would make the perfect man for the job! Neo is a three-year-old dog who has been waiting to find the human who complements him best. Despite his young age, he has already been rehomed at least once and was most recently found as a stray. While he has enjoyed the new digs at HSHC, Neo thinks it’s about time he graduates from a kennel into a forever home.Neo has quickly become a staff favorite, with many saying he has the softest fur in the universe, gives the best snuggles you’ve ever had, and provides constant companionship whenever needed. He’s practically the staff therapy pup! Neo loves to run around and be goofy, but he can also settle down nicely and chill on the couch for hours. The great news is that Neo passed his cat test with flying colors, so if there’s a feline friend at home, they are likely to get along just fine. Plus, Neo absolutely loves sitting in laps, making him the perfect cuddle buddy.Neo isn`t just looking for a new family; he`s looking for a new best friend, companion, and someone to count on for the rest of his days. Do you think you’re the one for him?

Story
Woof! Woof! We are Harley Grace and Maisey, 4-year-old bonded sisters in immediate need of a new home together, if possible. While our parents love us very much, and have given us the best home, sadly we have to find new furever family. A little about us: we were found together at 4 weeks old outside of a barn in North Carolina. Our parents got us because our big sister needed friends in her later years in life. We loved playing with Bella until she crossed rainbow bridge and with our cousins; 3 German Shepards and 1 brown lab and still have play dates whenever we can. We love our human cousins too and love it when they want to throw our toys. We are both super loving, do everything together, & are just as happy chilling on the couch with Netflix as we are going on a car ride to the park. Our parents leave out full food bowls we graze on and love Milk Bones. We have always had a doggie door but are house trained and will let you know when we want to go out and smell the roses.
