Hi! My name is Ace! I acquired my name from the lost boys from the movie Hook. I will be 4 years old this June. I really love tons of attention. I love baking in the sun and rolling around outside. I was born in Texas, so I love the heat. I do get cold very easily so my momma always has a fleece on me in the winter months and a T-shirt on inside. I’ve been living in Illinois since I was 8 weeks old. My family of 5 humans (3 children), my best friend Ruffio (Olde English Bulldogge), weird little creature Finn (Orange Tabby) and two fish. I am house trained and sleep in my crate. I will say though, I can’t resist human food and I’ve stolen a few pizzas off the counter when my humans left the room. I’m in need of a new home because my canine brother and I haven’t been seeing eye to eye the past two years. Even though I’ve been with him since I was a pup. I have a ton of energy and well he just doesn’t like to play as much. I’m assuming I will need my new home to be just for me.

Meet Raven! This pretty girl is a 3 year old Pitbull mix. She was adopted from here as a puppy but sadly, she was returned recently for not getting along with the cat in the home. Raven is the happiest girl! She is content and happy no matter what she is doing. Whether she is snuggled up in her bed with her favorite toy or playing in the play yard, she is always happy. She also loves to share her toys and will bring it to you. Raven is well mannered but needs to work on her jumping a little bit. She also keeps her kennel very clean. We are unsure how she is with other dogs but all dogs in the home will need to be present to meet her. She can’t be in a home with cats. Raven will be available for adoption tomorrow at 12pm and is eager to meet you. Clyde came in with his friend Bonnie. These poor dogs were left in a public restroom tied up. Clyde had chewed through his leash but didn't leave Bonnie. That being said, now that they are safe and comfortable they really aren't that attached and would probably do better separated. Clyde does best with dogs his size or bigger and needs a slow introduction, he would be great all by himself, soaking up all the people attention. He loves to play, especially fetch and has tons of energy to burn off. He still needs some work on his manners but is doing much better on his chewing and seems to be housebroken and is working on his basic commands. He has not met a cat yet and is most likely too much for them. He is fixed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. I had a rough beginning without all the love I now know that I deserve. Can you relate? Now, with the help of an amazing rescue team and my foster family I've had some time to work on me and get the care and love I needed. I'm getting my Do Over! I had heartworm, got treatment, beat it! I had cherry-eye, got surgery, no more eye problems! I was very underweight, I've been eating well with extra treats! I now have a strong and healthy body with a beautiful coat. I didn't even know how to doggo! Now I know how to play with toys and run the yard with my doggo friends. I may have even rolled in the mud a couple times heh... not gonna lie, it was messy but fun! I am house broken and crate trained. I don't LOVE my crate but I do well with it. I eat in there so I don't have to worry about the other dogs trying to steal my food and I also stay in there when my people are gone and when it's bedtime. I have a lot of pup brothers and sisters here and sometimes I get territorial and pushy, I've improved my manners a lot since living here though. I love playing with my pup friends but I also love my people! Couch cuddles, playing and a good ear massage, ? it! It's going to be a good life now, I can feel it in my waggy tail! Meet Guppy! Hello! They call my Guppy, or Gup-Gup - and I can answer to both. I am VERY smart. I am also very special. I am a blind, two year old mixed breed dog. I was picked up as a stray and found a very special foster family who has been teaching me about being a dog. It takes me awhile to get to know my surroundings and build trusting relationships, but once I do I am very loyal and playful. I love to sniff out my toys in the yard and leap around. Leash training is very helpful and important so that I know where it is safe for me to go. I do like to explore a bit too once I get comfortable. I love to be pet, and I give very big hugs and kisses. I do not know my own strength - at least that is what I hear. I do things with great confidence and need someone who will help keep me safe and guide me. I am crate trained and very quiet when in the crate. I love to be with you and I do not pick things up or chew without permission. I hear “not yours” and “that’s moms”, so I better stop. My foster family and their neighbors talk to me a lot so that I can get used to them and know where they are. As you can imagine, things can surprise me and I do not really like surprises. I also HATE water. I will drink my water and am getting used to my bowl being filled, but I do not like the washing machine, dishwasher, hoses - and forget about a bath. That didn’t go so well the first time. It may take a bit. Because I'm blind, I can get startled when life moves too fast. I would do best with older children that don't race around the house and understand that I can't see. I am very sweet and will be a great family dog.
